Mr.Heartland take on the job to introduce them. "Let me introduce you to Heartland Theme Park guardians of peace and justice. The owner of Nature Crooz, Captain Corn! The owner of Speed Field, Thunder Spark! The owner of House of Dolls, Cologne!"
Captain Corn's face is shaped like an actual piece of corn on the cob, covered in textured yellow kernels. He wears a large, comical pirate hat adorned with a skull and crossbones symbol. Combine with his name, Ryuji can guess his concept is based on a pirate, perhaps even his Number is also something connect to pirate.
He rounds out his bizarre look with a thick, sweeping handlebar mustache, tight leather pants, a real sword resting at his hip, and a lit cigar permanently clamped between his teeth.
Ryuji set his eyes on the man in the middle. Thunder Spark has a body shape of a healthy young man. His most striking feature is his spiky hair, which shoots upward and outward to mimic jagged lightning bolts. He has an intensely supernatural look emphasized by large, completely vacant eyes and no visible mouth.

After that, you will choose a teacher among the leader to train you personally. Nistro and Dextra only need to come during Saturday and Sunday, the schedule will change when you two enroll at Heartland academy. As for Kaito, he will be personally train by Dr.Faker."
The three Numer Hunter show different reaction about Mr.Heartland arrangements.
Captain Corn laughs out loud like a pirate finding treasure. "I have no problem with it, but can they handle it?" He says the last line with a cold tone making Nistro and Dextra shiver.
Thunder Spark fold his arms while looking at them coldly. "As long as they are not a nuisance and can handle hardship."
Cologne looks at them with disdain and disgusting. "Tch! I have to train a human? So annoyed!"
Ryuji and Riko look at each other in confused before asking. "What about us, we didn't need to do a test or what?"
Mr.Heartland looking at them speechlessly. 'Did they not have any self-aware? A number holder with fully control over her Number at 12 and a person easily defeat her at only 8-year-old, did these two even need a test to prove themselves?'

Everyone except Mr.Heartland frozen on the spot. Nistro, Riko and Dextra look at Ryuji with surprised, but it soon turns into a proud look. If it's any other kids, they will suspect there's something wrong with the Dr.Faker head. But if the person Dr.Faker choose is Ryuji, then it's no surprise for them.
But Kaito and three Number Hunters are still in disbelief from what they hear. After rebooting their brains, the first one to talk is Captain Corn, he rise his voice with objection. "What do you mean adding an 8-year-old to the same rank as us!? If it's that girl with Number Monster then I can understand, but why that boy?"
Cologne question follows. "I have to agree with that vegetable this time. Why add a mere kid without Number to our rank? That girl is much more suitable." She said while pointing at Riko.
Kaito also look at Ryuji suspiciously, hut he didn't ask any questions. The only person remain calm among them are Thunder Spark, he walks towards Ryuji and raise his hand, offering a handshake. "Welcome, Number Hunter Ryuji."
Ryuji look at him with curiously. "Hmm? Are you that easy to accept a kid getting put at the same rank as your?"
"I'm not narrow-minded like my colleague, I don't judge people by their age but by their duel level. In my eye, you are a worthy duelist to stand as the same rank as mine." Thunder Spark speak freely, not bother with the fact that he just bad-mouths his colleague right in front of them.
And clearly, they're not so happy with his statement. Captain Corn immediately barks. "What do you mean narrow-minded!? Don't you tell me you really think a kid is our equal, I won't accept it!"
Cologne quickly follows after. "Likewise, I won't accept a human in the same rank as mine, a little kid at that."
Thunder Spark calmly rise his hand towards Ryuji again. "Sorry for their rudeness, you can just ignore them or treat them like a noisy fly. It's embarrassed for me to have such a childish co-worker, especially in front of a kid more mature than them, not 1 but 5."
This time, Ryuji didn't refuse and form a handshake with him, but the moment he did that, he feel a electric shock going through his hand which make him frow.
Looking at Ryuji ugly expression, if Thunder Spark have mouth, then he would definitely smirk widely right now. Just as he was about to withdraw his hand, he feels Ryuji tightly hold his hand in place.
"What are you-" Thunder Spark doesn't get to finish his line before quickly shut up because of the burning heat he feels. It was like his hand was dip in boiled water.
Ryuji looking at him and ask with a mocking tone. "What happened? Why don't you keep talking? Cat got your tongue?"
Thunder Spark doesn't say anything, he silently increases his electric power as the heat getting more intense. The two of them doesn't say anything, calmly waiting for the other to let go first.
Nistro and Dextra look at two persons with confused while the others who have duel spirit watch silently. In the end, it's Dr.Faker who end their battle. "End the child play, I don't have time to waste with you two."
The two of them look at each other sharply before letting go at the same time.
Ryuji stretching his electrified arm while talking with Thunder Spark who was waving his hand continuously. "Haha, compare to your two co-workers, you are much more likeable."
"Haha, I would like to say the same, compare to that pirate cosplayer and that bratty doll, I am more willing to be your friend. If you have time, then perhaps we can have a duel sometimes." Thunder Spark talk with a friendly tone without holding grudges for what Ryuji did to his arm.

At the same time, Kaito silently walk beside Ryuji and raise his voice at the man on the screen. "Exactly, you haven't completed the promise you make with me, when can I meet my brother?"
Dr.Faker give Ryuji a slightly annoyed look before turn to Kaito, his eyes soften slightly,but it's barely noticeable, as he speaks. "Right after you complete your training, if I satisfied with the results then naturally, I would fulfill my promise. As for Ryuji, since you have already agreed to be a Number Hunter, naturally I will provide you with a Number monster. Mr.Heartland will guide you to the storage room."
Both Ryuji and Kaito nodding, clearly satisfied with Dr.Faker arrangements.
But as everything was going smoothly, Captain Corn voice rise out once again. "Hey hey hey! I still didn't agree for him to join us! No matter what you say I won't-"
"Tch! Noisy." An impatient voice cut off Captain Corn complain. Everyone turn towards Ryuji who was looking dangerously at Captain Corn with growing annoyed. The figured of 4 hazy dragons appear around him while a demon stand behind him.
Except for Dr.Faker who was not present, everyone stands close to Ryuji feel the temperature increases significantly, from around 20°C shot up to almost 70°C.
But the one who affect the most was actually the person stand the farthest. Captain Corn grits his teeth, enduring the constant heat wave going his way, but instead of feeling hot, he feels like he was in a ice cave as the gaze of Demise fall upon his body. "Since your Boss is already agreed, when did you, a mere dog, have the right to object?"
Luckily, Ryuji only release his spirit power for a few seconds before quickly withdraw it. Then, as if nothing happens, he turns towards Mr.Heartland with his usual smile. "So, are we going? I can't wait to receive my own Number monster."
Mr.Heartland using his handkerchief to wipe his damp forehead. He bows respected towards Dr.Faker and guide Ryuji towards the door the three Number Hunters walk out from. Just as they walk pass Captain Corn, Ryuji lower his voice and whisper to him. "Behave yourself next time, coward."
That line of his is not only for Captain Corn but also for Cologne who was standing next to him and was also affect by the spirit power release by Ryuji.
Captain Corn looks at Ryuji angrily but didn't dare to open his mouth, as for Cologne, she is fearfully avoiding Ryuji eyes, a few tears drop already burst out from her eyes.
Ryuji didn't say anything more and quickly catch up to Mr.Heartland. After two of them walk through the door, it close automatically. Inside the long hallway connecting to various room, Mr.Heartland finally open his mouth. "You are playing with fire, you know?"
Ryuji response back jokingly. "As the master of 4 fire attribute duel spirit, I was an expert at playing with fire."
The two-person exchange understanding gaze and heading deeper inside the hallway.
