3rd POV:
Everyone who play Yu-Gi-Oh know that, with a deck that focus on negate, going second is a massive disadvantage. And yet from the start of the tournament, he has to go second every single time!
When the coin land on the face he calls, Ryuji nearly jump in happiness, it's not because it increases his change of winning, no matter the situation he is confident that he will always win. It just that he can finally use his Evolzar with full power to show off.
"Head! Duelist Ryuji take the first turn!" The referee announcement the outcome of the coin flip and walk of the field.
'Finally! Let my Evolzar bring despair to my opponent!'
Looking at the opponent who name he don't even remember, but he didn't need to. The moment he gets the first turn his opponent already turn into an unnecessary character.
"My turn, draw! First, I activate Trap Booster; I can discard 1 card, then activate 1 trap card from my hand." Ryuji take out one card from his hand and put it in his graveyard.
"I activate a trap card from my hand, Ultimate Offering! At the same time, I can activate effect of this card in my hand, I activate Flowerdino effect; If I activate a Trap Card, I can Special Summon this card from my hand."

"The card I just send to the graveyard is Card of Compensation; when it was sent from my hand to the graveyard, I can draw 2 cards from my deck."
"I normal summon Rescue Rabbit and activate it effect; I summon 2 Sabersaurus from my deck!"

Seeing Ryuji act rapidly, his opponent already feels stressed. 'Calm down, he is just a kid, I have a perfect hand right now I can't lose.'
Unaware of what his opponent thinks, Ryuji continue his action. "Next I activate Fossil Dig; I can add 1 Level 6 or lower Dinosaur monster from my Deck to my hand. I add Dinovatus Docus to my hand and activate it effect; If I control 2 or more Dinosaur monsters: I can Special Summon this card from my hand. I currently control 3 dinosaur monsters, so I special summon this card."

"I activate another card from my hand, Card of Burial Magic (anime card)! By banish 3 Spell Cards from my Graveyard. I can draw 2 cards. I banish 'Trap Booster' 'Card of Compensation' 'Fossil Dig' and draw 2 cards."
After a round of action, Ryuji field already fill up with monster but his hand still holds 4 cards. 'Hmm~ The feeling of drawing cards is just wonderful.'
"At this moment, I activate Dinovatus Docus effect; Tribute 1 Level 4 or lower monster; Special Summon 1 Dinosaur monster from my Deck that is 2 Levels higher or lower than the Tributed monster. I tribute Flowerdino to Special Summon Stegocyber from my deck."

"Next..." Under the astonish eyes of his opponent, three little flowers grow on Ryuji field, as they bloom. Three cards were revealed inside; those are 3 spell cards that Ryuji banish earlier.
Ryuji slowly explains for his bewildered opponent. "Flowerdino effect; If this card is sent to the GY: I can target 3 banished Spells/Traps; place them on the bottom of the appropriate Deck(s) in any order, then draw 1 card. I return all of my banish card and draw 1 card."
Three flowers vanished into his deck, then a vine grow from his graveyard wrap itself around the top card on his deck and put it in his hand.
"Are you ready to face my monsters?" Ryuji ask his opponent, but in reality, he didn't care much. "I overlay Dinovatus Docus and Stegocyber! Xyz Summon Rank 6: Evolzar Solda!"

"I'm not done! I overlay both of my Sabersaurus, Xyz Summon Rank 4: Evolzar Laggia!"

The area gone uproar seeing Ryuji brought out 2 monsters with ease. His opponent grits his teeth and points his finger at Ryuji, with a prideful look, he opens his mouth. "If you think with a field like that can defeat me, then you're wrong! I can easily breakthrough it the next turn!"
No one present believe him when he says that with a shaking tone. But Ryuji didn't argue back, the corner of his mouth curve up. "Is that so? Then look like I have to continue building my board." Ryuji take out another card from his hand.
"Eh?" The opponent stare dumbfounded as Ryuji continue with his action.
"I activate Ultimate Offering effect; I pay 500 LP to Normal Summon another time."
[Ryuji, LP: 4000 -> 3500]
"I normal summon Evoltile Pholis and activate it effect; During my Main Phase: I can Set 1 "Evo-Force" or "Evo-Instant" directly from my Deck. I set Evo-Force from my deck, and since it's a normal spell card, I can directly activate it.
I activate Evo-Force effect; Tribute 1 "Evoltile" monster; Special Summon 1 "Evolsaur" monster from my Deck. I tribute Evoltile Pholis to Special Summon Evolsaur Elias!"

"Activate Evolsaur Elias effect; When this card is Special Summoned by the effect of an "Evoltile" monster: I can Special Summon 1 Level 6 or lower FIRE Dinosaur-Type monster from my hand."
Before Ryuji can continue, his opponent already raises his voice. "Objections! Your Elias is Special Summon by the effect of your spell card, not monster. Therefore, your monster can't activate it effect."
"Indeed, that should be the case. But..." Ryuji calmly take out the spell Evo-Force from his graveyard and show it to his opponent. "Evo-Force Special Summon effect is treated as a Special Summon by the effect of an "Evoltile" monster."
"Tch! So, it's like that..." The opponent clearly annoyed because he can't catch Ryuji mistake.
"Continue with Elias effect; I Special Summon Evolsaur Lios from my hand."

"Lios effect; If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: I can Set 1 "Evolutionary Bridge" or "Evo-Singularity" directly from my Deck. I set Evo-Singularity from my deck." Ryuji take a card from his deck and put it on his Spell/Trap Zone.
Then he takes out another card from his deck and send it to the graveyard. "Lios second effect; During my Main Phase, if I control this card that was Normal Summoned, or Special Summoned by the effect of a FIRE monster: I can send 1 FIRE Reptile or Dinosaur monster from my Deck to the GY, then I can make 2 monsters on the field become the same Type and Level as that monster sent to the GY.
I send Evolsaur Vulcano to the graveyard, it's a level 4 dinosaur monster. I make both Lios and Elias level and overlay them. Xyz Summon Rank 4: Evolzar Dolkka!"

"I set 2 cards and end my turn. It's your turn to duel."
Sweat drip down the opponent forehead. The audience gone uproar seeing Ryuji field. His friends also inhale a sharp breath.
"1 Spell/Trap negate, 2 monster effect negate, 2 Special Summon destroy and 2 mysterious traps. Knowing Ryuji, 1 of those could be another negate card like Solemn Judgement or something. Tch Tch! He really going all out when getting the first turn huh?" Nistro feel pity for Ryuji opponent. Even if he doesn't want to, he has to admit that if he ever wants to defeat Ryuji, two conditions must be met.
First, he needs others help. As prideful as he is, he has long abandoned the idea of winning again Ryuji alone. Other may call it coward, but that's the results of his losing streak again Ryuji. Not a single one of them did he come close to defeat him.
Second, Ryuji must not go first. If he did? Nistro may as well surrender on the spot.
"It's my turn, draw!" The opponent draw with all his might. He quickly looks at his hand and a smile appear on his face.
Opponent: "Although you are impressive for pulling out so many monsters at once, but I will not lose! I activate Dark Hole! Erase everything!"
Ryuji: "Chain Link 2; I activate Imperial Order; Negate all Spell effects on the field!"
Opponent: "Useless! Chain Link 3; I activate from my hand, Mystical Space Typhoon! I destroy your Imperial Order!"
Ryuji: "Not so fast! Chain Link 4; Evolzar Laggia effect; When a Spell/Trap Card is activated: I can detach 2 materials from this card; negate the activation and destroy it. I destroy your Mystical Space Typhoon!"
Opponent: "Tch! Chain Link 5; I activate Herald of Orange Light from my hand; When my opponent activates a monster effect: I can send this card and 1 other Fairy monster from my hand to the GY; negate the activation and destroy it. I negate your Evolzar Laggia effect!"
Ryuji: "Fairy? Interested, but it's useless again me! Chain Link 6; Evolzar Dolkka effect; When another monster's effect is activated: I can detach 1 material from this card; negate the activation and destroy that monster. I negate Herald of Orange Light effect!"
Opponent: "I'm not done! Chain Link 7! I activate Forbidden Chalice; Target 1 face-up monster on the field; until the end of this turn, that target gains 400 ATK, but its effects are negated. I target your Evolzar Dolkka!"
Ryuji: "Heh~ Still struggling? Too bad I didn't want to continue this anymore; I activate my set card Solemn Judgment! I pay half of my LP and negate your Forbidden Chalice! Because this is a Counter Trap, you can't chain to it anymore!"
The appear of old man put an end to the chain. The area has gone deadly silent over the negate back and forth between two duelists.
Ryuji don't mind the silent audience and open his mouth. "Now let the chain resolved. First, Solemn Judgment negate your Forbidden Chalice."
[Ryuji, LP: 3500 -> 1750]
The old man raises his arm and fire a thunderbolt, destroy the maiden along with her chalice.
"Second, Evolzar Dolkka negate your Herald of Orange Light. Then, Evolzar Laggia negate your Mystical Space Typhoon."
"Finally, Imperial Order negate every spell card on the field!"
After the whole chain is complete resolved, Ryuji opponent looks at the last card in his hand with a blank face. 'Breath in... Breath out... There's still a chance for me, believe in yourself!'
"I set one card and end my turn!"
"Hold up! I activate my last set card at your End Phase! Evo-Singularity effect; Target 1 "Evoltile" monster and 1 "Evolsaur" monster in my Graveyard; Special Summon 1 "Evolzar" Xyz Monster from my Extra Deck and attach those monsters to it as Xyz Materials. I Special Summon Evolzar Lars and attach Evoltile Pholis and Evolsaur Vulcano to it as materials."
The trap card flies high in the sky and turn itself into a portal. Within it, a stream of fire burst out and cover up the area. From Ryuji graveyard, two points of light fly out towards the sky. Then, the light and fire start to converge into one place forming a figured of a dragon.
With a powerful roar, the dragon appears in the eyes of everyone. Its black body and red eyes scan the field before land on its opponent and let out an intimidate aura around it.

"Be grateful that you are the first one ever to face this monster of mine. Though it's a bit regretful its first opponent is a nobody like you."
Nistro and Dextra look stunning at the sight of this monster, after all this is the first time they ever see Ryuji use it. From its aura alone, they can tell it's even more powerful than Ryuji other Evolzar.
"My turn, draw! I enter Battle Phase and attack directly with Evolzar Lars! Fire Blast!" The dragon open it mouth and fire a flame with a 大 shape towards the opponent.
"Tch! Don't underestimate me! I activate my trap card Mirror Force! When an opponent's monster declares an attack: Destroy all your opponent's Attack Position monsters. This is the power of the ultimate barrier, say goodbye to your monsters!"
The trap flips up forming a barrier around the opponent, but then the so-called ultimate barrier began to catch on fire.
The opponent and the audience were stun by the event. "W-What happen!?"
Ryuji smile satisfied at the reaction of his opponent. "Evolzar Lars effect; When my opponent activates a card or effect: I can detach 2 materials from this card, or just 1 material if all this card's materials are Reptile and/or Dinosaur, then target 1 face-up card my opponent controls; negate its effects until the end of this turn.
Evolzar Lars materials are Reptile and Dinosaur, so I detach 1 material and negate your Mirror Force." The opponent can only look in despair as Evolzar Lars attack keep flying towards them.
[LP: 4000 -> 1500]
"2 omni-negate? Did he have a thing for negate or something?" Nistro say with tired look on his face, he doesn't know how much stronger Ryuji will be with this card but he can already imagine how much annoyed it's to deal with him in the future.
Unaware of his friends thought, Ryuji scan the remaining monster on his field. "Now, who want to deal the final blow?"
*ROARRRR*
Immediately, Solda raise its voice showing it eager to finish the battle. If it not doing something now, it will become the most useless in the whole duel. It's like an unnecessary one in a group of 4 friends; their only job is stay there so there's enough member to play 4 player games.
Before it's already having to fight for a chance to be summon again Dragonlark Pairen, now it has to compete against another one far stronger than its rival back then. This maybe one of the kills it will ever have left.
The other Evolzar seem to understand it thinking so no one compete with it.
Solda gather fire energy in both of its palm and then combine them together, it then shoots it towards the opponent like an arrow put an end to the duel. (FUGA!!!)

I just want to test how long can I make a chain in a single turn with Ryuji current deck.
We'll skip top 4 battle and go straight to the final in the next chapter, I can't bother to think for a name and deck for a new character that will soon be forgotten.
