Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 – Aizen Prison

Year: 1050 Location: Outside Aizen Prison.

It was a foggy morning. The air felt cold. In front stood a huge wall, and on that wall, hundreds of guards were standing—holding spears in their hands.

The heavy iron gate of the prison opened with a "Ghraaaak" sound. From it, Veder walked out.

"Ah..! You again..?"

Veder stopped and turned back. He had just come out from behind that wall.

Veder had thick black hair. His eyes were also black, and there were dark circles under them. He was wearing a black outfit. On his waist hung a sword.

"It's you," Veder said.

The man walked closer to him.

"So, you're released today— from the prison."

"Yes, Sien," Veder replied.

"I just don't understand… why do you keep stealing?" Sien asked.

"You already know. I'm unemployed, and whenever I try to steal, I always get caught." Veder scratched his head, closing one eye.

"Yeah… that's why, in the past three years, you've been caught seven times while stealing, and all seven times I had to see your face." Sien exhaled deeply.

Sien was the Vice-President of the Ocean Organization. His position was very high. His hair was a mix of black and white. His eyes were black. There was a mole on the right side near his nose. He was wearing the Ocean Organization uniform, which was white. A sword hung on his waist.

Sien was tired of seeing Veder. Veder would always get caught while stealing. For three years, Veder's coming to and going from the prison had continued. Because of this, Sien had come to know Veder well, and Veder knew Sien too.

"Where will you go now?" Sien asked, putting his hand into his pocket.

Veder looked around—left, right, up, down.

"Shittt..! I didn't think about that at all?" he said, placing his hand on his forehead.

"Nothing can be done about you…" Sien took out a letter from his pocket. "Here, take this." He handed it to Veder.

"What is this?" Veder asked, looking at the letter in his hand.

"A letter… You will go and give this to the king of the Disail Kingdom—after reading it, they will recruit you into the army."

Veder looked at Sien. "What is this for?" he asked excitedly.

"Because I know… once you leave from here, you'll start stealing again, and you'll land back in prison, and I'll have to see your face again." Sien said with a sad expression, looking down.

"But..!" Sien placed his hand on Veder's shoulder.

"If you give this letter to the king, he will give you work. Then you won't have to steal again, and I won't have to see your face again."

Sien ran his hand through his hair.

"So, how is my idea?"

Seeing that Sien had thought so much for him, Veder became emotional and hugged Sien tightly.

"Thank you, Sien. For thinking so much about me…"

Sien quickly pushed him away—because Veder had hugged him so tightly that Sien could barely breathe.

"You would've killed me just now…" Sien said, breathing heavily. "And yes… please don't appear in front of me again… I have seen you more times than I've seen my own girlfriend."

Sien covered his eyes dramatically, pretending to cry.

"Okay, okay. I'll stop stealing now," Veder said, placing a hand on Sien's shoulder.

"Don't cry," Veder added.

"Will you truly not steal again?" Sien asked, looking at him.

"No," Veder replied.

"Hmm… good… good…" Sien patted his shoulder. "Alright then… go."

"Yes, I'll go," Veder said.

New energy filled his body. He began walking toward the Disail Kingdom, while Sien waved from behind, smiling and saying "bye."

A soldier came near Sien.

"Mr. Sien… a letter has arrived from the Fevs Kingdom."

He handed the letter to Sien.

Sien read it.

"Prepare the army… we have to depart."

Sien now became serious.
