Overview:
Ornazia, officially known as the Custodial Republic of Ornazia, is located in the Oruwali region of Eldervale, bordering Tavrikon to the north, Hleidisland to the south, Raginheim to the east, and Bellatorum to the west. During the Post-Catastrophe Era, from the 700s to the 1000s, she stood among the most powerful nations in the world. Her territory stretched from the Apanal Sea in the far north to the shores of Kondobay in the far south, placing nearly all of western Eldervale under her rule.
At the height of her power, she grew supercilious, conceited, hubristic, and condescending toward other nations. But it was that very arrogance that led to her bloody and humiliating downfall. Broken by defeat, she became far more humble, no longer seeking to dominate the world but instead pursuing peace and stability. Yet her old dream has never truly faded. It merely lies dormant, waiting for the day she can restore the glory of her past - and finally eliminate her greatest enemy, Bellatorum.
About Ornazia:
𔓘 Ornazia - once the most feared conqueror of Western Eldervale. Its golden age (700s-1000s) lasted over 300 years, expanding across the entire west and deep into the central lands of Eldervale. Legendary campaigns like After the Flags, A Wider Map, and New Ground defined its dominance.
𔓘One of the most sensitive topics in Ornazia is the question of whether the nation was once part of Bellatorum. The matter remains fiercely disputed, and public discussion of it is often considered taboo.
𔓘 Citizens can legally own weapons under strict licensing and constant oversight - combat readiness is part of daily life.
𔓘 The land itself is strange: Ornazian soil is unusually dense, sometimes hard as stone.
𔓘 Due to its violent past, Ornazia never truly formed lasting alliances - trust was always scarce.
𔓘 Beneath the nation lies the Marrow Pit - vast catacombs lined with the skulls of defeated enemies. A chilling reminder of its history.
𔓘 Even sport reflects its culture: gun duels and combat simulations are the national pastime - using safe rounds, but very real skill.
Brief modern history:
I. ANNEXATION AND THE ONE PEOPLE POLICY (1219–1255)
After the Battle of Viriolium (Ornazia) (29 April 1218 – 10 May 1219), Ornazia totally surrendered to Bellatorum's forces, ending the Bellum Fratrum War and was fully annexed into the Bellatorum mainland. Under the One People Policy, Bellatorum constantly pushed forced assimilation, ethnocide, and cultural imperialism. During this period, many independence movements arose - many figures from this era later became legendary stories inspiring art - but all were heavily suppressed.
II. THE GREY FALL MOVEMENT AND INDEPENDENCE (1255–1256)
By the 1250s, Bellatorum had grown weak due to internal conflict. The Prexa ad Nacion Renovatio Partis (PNRP) , led by Aigonzis Panzorium, remained the most active and influential secessionist party. On 3 September 1255, they gathered outside a Bellatorum administrative building in Viriolium demanding independence. The protest escalated into violent clash when security forces opened fire, causing hundreds of deaths - starting the Grey Fall Movement.
On 5 September, the PNRP broadcast a speech calling for a popular uprising across the Ornazian mainland. Within a short time, multiple uprisings erupted en masse, fighting against Bellatorum's garrison and the Ascal (Ornazian pro-Bellatorum forces). On 10 September, as the situation spiraled out of control, Bellatorum declared war on the uprising forces. The uprising captured Zunonoch on 26 September and Luminischa on 12 October. Under internal pressure, Bellatorum accepted Ornazian independence in December 1256. Ornazia regained independence after 40 years.
III. EARLY INDEPENDENCE AND FAILED PEACE (1256–1267)
After independence, Ornazia restored its culture, which Bellatorum had tried to erase. In 1258, the Gralvondach Tower - a sacred place honoring fallen heroes of the Bellum Fratrum War - was completed. In 1265, Ornazia attempted peace negotiations with Bellatorum; the result was failure. From 1265 onward, Ornazia never again sought peace with Bellatorum.
From 14 September to 21 October 1267, the most serious border conflict occurred at Calmiz Hill. After the conflict, Bellatorum provoked several other points. Both nations increased military presence along the border. In December 1267, Ornazia detected an invader, believing it was a Bellatorum soldier (there was no soldier, no border crossing…)
IV. THE CRESCENT LINE WAR AND THE FIRST GREAT WAR (1270–1273)
On 23 December 1270, Ornazia declared war on Bellatorum, beginning the Crescent Line War - also the start of the First Great War of Eldervale. Two months later, Hleidisland joined Bellatorum's side, attacking Ornazia from the south. The front with Bellatorum ended mainly in stalemate, while Ornazia struggled against Hleidisland.
The Morsiziz - the battles of Abigailz and Oriszia (Ornazia) (April–September 1271): The most brutal of the war. Only a few survived; the battles themselves became legend among Ornazians because of the indomitable spirit shown.
In 1272, Ornazia remained mainly defensive.
The Battle of Ouanimonsiz (Ornazia) (12 April – 23 June 1272): Ornazia successfully defended a mountain thanks to the pointy terrain. Ornazia also pushed enemies back in the northwest, slowly assuming a more active position on the Bellatorum front.
After the intense battles of Pont Avalon (Bellatorum) and the Eighty Days at Draumfell (Ornaia) in 1272–1273, the state weakened heavily. During this time, extensive conscription became controversial, as the nation enrolled 11-year-olds and disabled people into war zones. In May 1273, civil unrest threatened to overthrow the government. Ornazia proposed the Caer Dunath peace treaty; all sides signed on 16 July 1273 in neutral Acludion. All borders were restored to pre-war conditions.
V. THE PHAZURIZ DICTATORSHIP AND ZEAL-STATISM (1273–1288)
After the war, Ornazia suffered constant civil unrest, poverty, and supply chain collapse. Aigonz Phazuriz established a temporary emergency administration, Orbis Medicalis, with himself as head. Following the crisis, Orbis Medicalis indefinitely extended its power under the guise of national recovery, cementing Phazuriz's transition into a dictator by 1275. His ideology, Zeal-Statism, held that the State was a literal deity and citizens were worshipping it.
In August 1277, the Statue of Ornaziandis - honoring the state's foundation and myths - was finished after repairs following war damage. In 1280, Ornazia established a bloc with Acludion for total cooperation against common threats. In February 1283, a mass grave containing 300 remains was found, estimated to be fallen Ornazians from the Bellum Fratrum War.
VI. FACTIO JURIS, SOCIETAS PHISGULAE, AND THE PHONSC INCIDENT (1284–1288)
From 1284 to 1288, multiple disagreements with Phazuriz surfaced among the authorities. Several established their own parties, the most famous being Factio Juris (FJ) led by Jur Zunzial and Societas Phisgulae (SP) led by Sonziz Airiz. (Both parties held Zeal-Statist ideology but developed it based on their leaders' interpretations.)
The most famous conflict was the Phonsc Incident (2 April 1287): FJ and SP rallies occurred in the same public space, and their supporters confronted each other for seven hours before security forces intervened. After the incident, Phazuriz heavily suppressed and reduced the influence of both parties.
VII. THE SECOND GREAT WAR OF ELDERVALE - ORNAZIA THEATRE (1289–1294)
In August 1289, Bellatorum suffered a mass poisoning in the Zuanz region due to contaminated water from unstable underground geology.
Due to the escalation of the Second Great War, Ornazia was drawn into war with Hleidisland on 9 March 1291. Ornazia struggled against Hleidisland's forces, losing much southern territory before halting the advance at the Battle of Orfaniuz Valley (Ornazia) (13 June – 8 July 1291).
Bellatorum declared war on Ornazia on 14 March 1291.
The Battle of Venereus (Bellatorum) (18 December 1291 – 3 February 1292): Allowed Ornazia to advance into Bellatorum soil, but the advance quickly halted, stagnated, and was later pushed back.
In May 1292, Ornazia conducted Operation Ater Latorium - massive strategic bombings and sabotage targeting enemy forces - partially halting enemy advances and putting the fronts into deadlock. In August, Operation Ignid Deiectio - a mass bombing campaign across northern Hleidisland and southern Bellatorum - recorded the highest amount of aircraft explosive weapons ever used: more than 150,000 tonnes (330,693,393 lbs) in just three months. Despite the destruction, Ornazia could not execute a major offensive.
The Calmiz Offensive (5 January – 20 April 1293) attempted to reclaim the northwest sector lost in 1291 but recaptured only half. The Sonziz Campaign (two months later) attempted to restore the southwest; though its objective was unachievable, it weakened Bellatorum's forces. On the Hleidisland front, both sides remained stagnant with no significant breakthrough.
The Battle of Zelamiz (Ornazia) (18 April – 9 June 1293): Sparking widespread anti-government movements led by FJ and SP. The battle caused high casualties while failing to recapture the city from Hleidisland.
The Battle of Korschuziz (Ornazia) (4 March – 13 May 1294): Failing to recapture the city from Hleidisland, putting the nation in a struggle to coordinate a breakthrough; anti-government movements increased after the battle.
With the announcement of the Pax of Seraphic, Ornazia signed the peace treaty on 5 July 1294, its lands restored to pre-First Great War conditions.
VIII. THE LUCENTIS SQUARE MASSACRE AND THE FALL OF PHAZURIZ (1294)
In an atmosphere of civil unrest, the people demanded Phazuriz's resignation, blaming him for the nation's terrible war performance. On 28 August, twenty thousand protesters gathered at Lucentis Square. After three days, Phazuriz ordered forces to open fire, supported by armored suppression vehicles - the Lucentis Square Massacre. An estimated thousand died. The gathering collapsed within two hours. The event fueled greater outrage, and the influence of both SP and FJ rose. Many government officials defected to join these parties.
In October–November, multiple armed uprisings across the northern nation spread to the south, chanting the infamous slogan "Down with the waste, up with the soil" - later a part of Ornazian culture.
On the night of 6 September, a coup d'état was launched by Jur Zunzial (FJ). After armed clashes, Zunzial captured Phazuriz, who attempted suicide in a basement, thus abolishing the Phazuriz regime. After two months of imprisonment, Phazuriz was executed by firing squad; the entire execution was broadcast live across all media outlets.
IX. THE IMISCHA SCHISM CIVIL WAR (1294–1297)
The new government remained unstable due to conflict with SP. An election on 20 November ended in a standoff. On 29 November 1294, Jur Zunzial died when a heavy rock fell from a building while he was taking a walk. FJ declared this a scheme by SP; SP claimed it was an accident. Tensions escalated into civil war in December 1294 after FJ declared a total ban and abolition of SP - thus start the Imischa Schism.
During this war, Bellatorum covertly aided FJ forces in the northwest, while Hleidisland did the same for SP, hoping to prolong the conflict. Acludion, Tavrikon, and Peyi Mil-Koule supported SP; Toutanglom and Draviskas supported FJ, hoping their recipient would achieve quick total victory. The civil war stagnated, with the main front along the Rubianzol mountain range.
Battle of Scenildis (17 April – 11 June 1295): SP broke through and secured Flamiziol landiz.
Battle of Cluveniz (1 March – 9 May 1296): Neither side captured this key logistics sector; it was split in half.
Battle of Glanschirilz (6 October – 12 November 1296): With direct help from Acludion, Tavrikon, and Peyi Mil-Koule, SP won and subsequently achieved constant victories.
Battle of Viliscon (9 February – 28 April 1297): After a prolonged, intense battle, SP claimed victory, ending the Imischa Schism. The new government was established under Scenilus Crizantus.
X. THE COMMONWEALTH BLOC AND THE END OF ZEAL-STATISM (1300–1333)
In 1300, Ornazia officially established the Commonwealth Bloc with Acludion, later joined by Tavrikon (1301) and Peyi Mil-Koule (1303). In March 1311, Ornazia intensified troop presence along the Bellatorum border after reports of attempted illegal crossings; both nations nearly entered a border war. In August 1319, the government underwent a huge restructuring to reduce bureaucratic complexity. By 1322, Ornazia finally reached the Pangaea-Flourish state - where every thread of development converged at its absolute peak.
In April 1331, the SP party was accused of bribery for legislation. Aparil Vunon was later exposed for having an extramarital affair with four different subordinates, with some reports of sexual assault. In February 1332, party speaker Vangris Dregos leaked recordings showing sexual intercourse with five different people and twerking on a floor. Later, the party was exposed for nepotism, cronyism, and covering up crimes by relatives. Recordings of high-profile politicians making racist, sexist, and other remarks continued emerging until 1333; the whistleblower remains unknown.
Unable to withstand such kakistocracy, degeneracy, and pornocracy, the people protested from March to August 1333. The entire party was deposed by order of the Magiscoliz (a supreme constitutional body checking state power and restoring balance). Auripert Ganz was elected head of state, ending the Zeal-Statism regime that had governed Ornazia for nearly 60 years.
XI. THE CALEMNIS LINE AND CRIMSON ABSOLUTISM (1336–1379)
In 1336, Ganz began the Calemnis Line - an extremely complicated defensive fortification system along the entire national border. In 1340, Ornazia established Article 12: when a member of the Commonwealth Bloc was attacked, the others would immediately join the conflict. On 10 February 1347, the nation discovered a massive cache of rare materials in central Marizol landiz, used to build the Calemnis Line.
In May 1355, the first ultropolis with polycentric design, Calisvair, was finished, followed by Sciorzund and Exulatrix Ardentis. On 18 March 1364, Lucien Mourne was elected head of state - though many estimated he rigged the election results. He established the ideology of Crimson Absolutism, which glorified violence and nostalgia for Ornazia's past glory.
From 1366 to 1371, the state constantly built barricades to prepare for war, causing significant traffic disruption. In 1376, Mourne delivered one of the most infamous speeches, De Vita Inimois et Vanix, openly rousing Ornazian spirit and insulting Hleidisland and Bellatorum. In 1379, the Commonwealth Bloc actively activated Article 13, which mandated war preparation by all members. The nation continued developing until the outbreak of the Third Great War of Eldervale.
Ideology: Crimson Absolutism
Crimson Absolutism is a political ideology that redefines violence not as a failure of diplomacy or a breakdown of order, but as the purest form of dialogue - the only interaction where two parties cannot lie to one another. Rooted in the belief that all life consumes other life to survive, society is organized not by wealth, birth, or intelligence, but by proven capacity for violence and the scars borne in its execution. Beauty itself is defined as the moment of impact: the split second when flesh yields, when armor fractures, when the old form is destroyed to make way for the new. Prolonged peace is considered societal cancer, breeding complacency, weakness, and the slow death of the spirit, while violence is elevated to a form of worship - the act of striking another being is an acknowledgment of their reality, for one cannot truly strike a phantom. Crimson Absolutism despises nations that wage war while pretending to wage peace, and it values enemies more than allies; the state never declares war over resources or land, but over ideological insults. Every citizen is born as raw ore, and life is the process of being heated, hammered, and quenched until one becomes a finished blade - to face violence, endure it, and wield it with precision is to become art. Injury is not viewed as tragedy but as sacred instruction, with the healing process treated as active meditation. And if the state ever faces an enemy it cannot defeat, with total annihilation certain, the final generation is instructed not to surrender, but to charge into the fire with such ferocity that their extinction becomes a legend that scars the enemy's psyche for a thousand years.
