Chapter 16

- Third Person's POV –

The bell rang to signal the end of Rhea's hour-long class at NSTP.

"See you tomorrow, everyone." After saying goodbye to Ma'am MC, she walked to the door and went out before them.

"See ya in English later." Almira said and gently patted Rhea's shoulder.

She just nodded while putting away her things without looking at Almira. Her friend was the first to leave the room while her classmates were right behind her.

Every step she took towards the door was slow as she was drowning in thoughts about what happened earlier. She could not fully imagine that she almost became a Fallen because she was too self-confident and missed her true mission on earth.

Because her mind was so engrossed in other things, she was unaware that her feet had taken her to ComLab 3. She stopped walking when she felt she was where she was and her eyes wandered around.

She thought back to what happened during the screening for the Dota tournament that she almost die. She checked every corner of the four square area to make sure it was safe and free of any sign of bad elements.

She knew that everyone was safe at that time but she still did not feel comfortable walking to her unit. Her eyes were on the wirings while also glancing at the units.

"Hey Dota Girl."

A young man greeted her from where her male classmates gathered behind her unit.

The girl turned with a smile to the young man who greeted her, "Hello brother Wolverine."

"Are you and Gonzaga already?" He asked at the same time as the young men with him turned to Rhea.

Suddenly, the girl's foot hit the leg of the chair she was about to sit in her unit. She groaned softly in pain and lifted her foot to place it on the edge of the chair and gently massage it.

"Not yet." She gave a short answer after rubbing her foot, then she lowered her foot and wiped the chair.

"Oh, Castino. If I were you, think twice." A classmate of the young woman who is among the crowd joined.

"Why? They and Gonzaga are a perfect match." Add another one.

"Because I saw a beautiful chick that Gonzaga was talking to earlier. And sexy." There was a story about the first guy who joined the conversation and they burst out laughing almost at the same time.

Rhea's eyebrows met while listening to them. A single name suddenly came to the girl's mind that ruined her day even more.

She turned her back on them and sat down, then slightly threw her bag under the computer table.

"Is it really sexy?" A young man who was among the crowd was smiling curiously.

"So damn hot. She's wearing a white crop top and tiny denim shorts." Added by the first guy. Saying it while surpassing a laughter.

The girl tried to suppress what she heard from behind her but half of her mind wanted to kill a leech because of what she heard. She frowned staring at the keyboard as all possible possibilities entered her mind.

"Maybe she's just a friend?" The young man Rhea called a wolverine asked.

The young man who told the story laughed loudly, "Is hugging his waist called a friend?"

After he said that they all laughed. Reason to annoy the girl even more. She crossed her arms as she stared at the keyboard, as if she wanted to cut it into small pieces. Just to reduce the little doubt in her mind.

"Hey! Your noise is so early in the morning!"

The young man who had just entered looked at the young men who were laughing behind Rhea's back. He walks towards the unit where the girl is sitting.

The girl knew the voice but she didn't bother to look at it.

"Gonzaga, who is that sexy chick you were talking to earlier?" A young man opened his eyes as he approached them.

"Only a chicken will talk to a chick." Ceejay even joked with a grin.

"Fix your answer." The young man Rhea called a wolverine snorted.

"Why? Is there another animal that can talk to the chick?" The young man is almost a happy philosopher.

"Okay, don't admit it." Another sneer of a young man.

"Alright, I admit it." Ceejay's initial justification with a smile on his face.

The young men suddenly became quiet and seriously looked forward to Ceejay's future addition to the subject he cut. Rhea slightly moved her eyes to look at the young man's smiling face. But the young man did not notice that she was watching him.

"The duck can talk to the chicken chick because her child is also a chick." The young man explained almost cheerfully.

The young men burst out laughing at the same time as Rhea angrily took her eyes off the young man. Ceejay smiled as he went to the empty unit next to the girl.

"Isn't your joke more corny?" The young man Rhea called Wolverine even mocked.

"You even laugh at it." He answered then sat down.

"Hi." Ceejay greeted Rhea with a smile.

The girl was still staring at the keyboard with her arms crossed as if she didn't hear the young man who greeted her.

"Did you receive the rose I handed you?" The young man asked calmly as the girl did not answer.

"Of course." She answered this almost in a whisper.

The young man's gaze traveled from the girl's bag to her hands but he could see no sign that she was holding a flower.

His eyebrows meet in surprise, "It's like I can't see anything?"

"I gave it to the trash." The girl answered with controlled irritation.

"You're so exaggerated." The young man said.

Rhea turned to face him and gave him a deadly look while crossing her arms with her fingers almost buried in his arm because of surpassing his annoyance.

"Are you courting or sympathizing with the hill?" The girl scolded sarcastically.

The young man stared into the girl's eyes with a wrinkled forehead, "I gave you a rose. red rose Not white chrysanthemum." He stressed.

"Give food to the living because flowers are only for the dead." Annoyed at the young woman's insistence, she snubbed the young man and turned her gaze back to the keyboard in front of her.

"You're alive but I'm dead to you." The young man answered with a smile that almost made his mouth tear.

The young woman faced him again with an annoyed look and raised an eyebrow, "Doesn't anything sensible come out of your mouth?"

"Because you have all my sensibility so you're the only one who will come out of this mouth." The young man's eyes almost squinted.

The girl looked at him even irritated, "Do you think it's funny?"

The young man smirked, "If your attitude is so difficult to live with, I will definitely give you a Sampaguita next time."

"Tsk. Do you consider me a saint?" The girl's statement was weak but annoyed.

"No. But I praise you." The young man replied smiling again.

"Ha ha ha." The girl gave a fake and sarcastic laugh then turned her back and looked in another direction with a frown.

"Why is it so hard to buy your smile?" The young man almost raised his voice.

"Because I don't sell it." Laying the girl down without looking at him.

"Up to you." As the young man continued to thrash around, he turned his back on the girl and angrily faced the computer in front of him.

Both of them turned their backs, frowning and feeling as to who would speak first. They both didn't want to pay attention but something was whispering in the middle of their minds to break the warm silence.

A few minutes of deafening silence.....

"Ceejay..." Rhea said softly without looking at Ceejay.

The young man did not move. He was just leaning back on his chair and looking at the computer.

"Aren't you going somewhere later?" The girl tried to keep her voice calm.

"There is." The young man answered sparingly.

Even though the girl hesitated to ask whatever was on her mind, it suddenly came out of her mouth.

"W-Where?" The young woman hesitated.

"In the lives of my four loved ones." The young man immediately answered in a disgusted tone.

The young woman frowned and turned to him with her mouth slightly open, "Your face is too thick to flirt when you already have four lovers."

The girl's voice slightly raised as she looked at her classmates who heard them.

Ceejay turned around and said, "Yes. You, yours, yourself and you." He emphasizes.

Instead of being annoyed, the girl started to smile and she lightly slapped his face. The young man giggled as he looked at her.

"Where are you going?" The young man asked with a smile.

The girl giggled first and then answered, "I hope in the cemetery."

"Do you have any relatives who have passed away?" Curiosity of the young man.

"Yes. My heart is dead to you." The girl's reasoning was weak and smiling.

Without emotion, the young man brought his face closer to the young woman and looked her in the eyes, "Did I think that belonged to hell?"

The girl brought her face closer to him while frowning with one eyebrow raised, "Don't really talk to me anymore. Because I'm really going to hit you." She gritted her teeth.

The young man just smirked as if laughing at the young woman's reaction while the young woman was annoyed at the young man's face.
