Qin Yue wrapped things up after a long day and after a slight hesitation, he decided to offer an olive branch to Xu Wei.
However, when he went to find the other person, his office was empty. Qin Yue closed the door with a slight frown.
Xu Wei's assistant happened to walk by at that time and Qin Yue called him over.
"Where's President Xu?"
The assistant reacted quickly.
"He stepped out earlier and hasn't come back."
Qin Yue nodded and waved him away while stepping into the office.
Xu Wei wasn't one to be so casual about work so what could have been so important to make him leave early?
The layout of this office was similar to his with few personal touches.
The desk was uncluttered and so the single piece of paper quickly caught his eye.
Qin Yue read through the note before calmly folding it and placing it in his pocket. What could Xu Wei possibly have to do back there?
