Chapter 11 - A Night to Remember

The day started like any other for our favorite Nevermore students. The crazy movement last night exhausted the two girls thinking they could overpower Y/N until he fought back. Both Wednesday and Enid took longer to get up to start the day with Y/N exercised in the forest.

By the time I got back, both girls were ready to get some food. Too bad I'm currently reeking of sweat, though Enid's eyes started to blur from the pheromones I'm exuding. I hopped in the shower and got cleaned and dressed before signalling the girls to grab some breakfast. After grabbing some breakfast, the whole school was told to gather in the Quad for some exciting announcements.

Wednesday casually bit into her croissant and said, "Will this announcement have anything to do with your proposal last night, Mon Cheri?"

She looked towards me asking for confirmation.

"Indeed, Mi Cuervo. Principal Weems told me the news when both of you were bidding your families farewell," I replied while taking a sip of my coffee.

Enid cheerfully chimed in, "That's soooo nice of Principal Weems but how come she told you this news early?" She held a finger on her chin thinking why that is.

I looked surprised at Enid's question and so is Wednesday.

I sighed and looked at both of them and replied, "This had something to do with a favor she asked of me. Don't worry I'll be explaining to you both what it is after today. I promise, my loves."

Wednesday looked at me curiously but gave up since I planned to explain later on. Enid, on the other hand, was a bit impatient and started to ask what the promise was frequently but I calmed her down with head pets and told her to be patient.

With all that said and done, the announcement was about to start when almost everyone in Nevermore had arrived in the Quad with Principal Weems heading to the front.

Principal Weems announced, "Greetings everyone, I am pleased to announce that our Annual Rave'n Dance will be held on the upcoming Saturday. The theme will be Winter Wonderland so ice and frosty wear are welcomed. I hope everyone will look forward to this year's Rave'n. Now please return to your classes now."

Everyone was excited for this dance since they could use this chance to ask their potential other half and may officially be together. The crowd of students were chattering everywhere talking about the Rave'n as they headed to class.

On the far side of the Quad, Wednesday, Enid, and I were not too shocked by the news; courtesy of me. Both girls were also talking about the Rave'n but more on what to wear instead.

Wednesday thought for a moment and remembered seeing a dress she adored on the window of Uriah's Heap while Enid already got something similar to the theme in her colourful closet. Wednesday also thought of her evil plan to cause mischief close to the ending of the dance.

"Perhaps hooking some pig's blood to the sprinkler system would be a nice addition and maybe Y/N will like the surprise," Wednesday thought.

While Wednesday was hatching a diabolical scheme, Enid on the other hand was scrambling for the best outfit in her mind. I was enjoying the sight of my two girls racking their brains out. I could tell Wednesday is up to no good but that makes her "Wednesday."

"I hope they understand why I kept them in the dark about Principal Weem's deal," I thought worriedly.

Nevertheless all three of us went to our respective classes with different thoughts in mind. The day passed by quickly and everyone finished their classes and now in their free time before they start all over again in the morning.

I walked around the woods near Nevermore to clear my mind about the inevitable explanation later. While walking around absentmindedly, I came across a small cabin shack and from the looks of the new lock on the door, it's been in use frequently.

I let out some Shadow Knights to keep an eye out for anyone getting close to the shack. I looked inside only to see tall objects shrouded in blankets. Curious hit me as I headed towards the door and ripped the lock off the door.

Entering the cabin shack, I saw a light switch near the wall. I flipped it up and revealed the contents inside. Paint on the floor with brushes and charcoal on the tables. I approached one of the covered objects and pulled it off. It revealed a painting of the Hyde's cave. I went to pull another one off to reveal the painting of a Hyde looking menacing.

Narrowing my eyes at the painting, I went to another covered painting and pulled it off. My expression is narrowed even further seeing a painting of Wednesday. From the looks of all the paintings around, it should belong to Xavier considering he's the only realistic painter I know.

"It's time to pay a visit to our tortured artist," I thought as murderous thoughts filled my mind.

My mood had been unconsciously ruined. Taking out my phone and taking some pictures of these paintings, I sent the Shadow Knights to search for Xavier and send me his location. I turned off the lights and headed out of the shack. I went back to Nevermore to see Principal Weems to update her about my recent discovery. It only took me about ten minutes to get to her office. I knocked on the door and went inside.

Principal Weems looked at me curiously and asked, "Mr. Ashborn, is there something you need?"

I told her my recent discovery and replied, "I found Faulkner's Diary in the Nightshade Society and found what kind of creature Tyler is. He's a Hyde. I'm sure you know how many people we will be dealing with."

Principal Weems sighed, "The Hyde and its master. Great.. just great. We narrowed down one suspect with Tyler being the Hyde but its master must be lying low as well since there have not been any attacks recently."

I continued with, "I do have two suspects so far. One being Xavier, our tortured artist. I found a shack nearby with the painting of the cave of the Hyde as well as the Hyde. Another painting I found was that of Wednesday. She could be a target if he is the Hyde's master. From what I know about Xavier's psychic power is to be able to manifest his drawings into life so there is suspicion of him being the Hyde's master. Another suspect I found would be Ms. Thornhill. As the only normie in Nevermore and teacher of biology, she has access to plants that could be used as poison. I remember correctly that one of the plants she has access to can be used to make Nightshade poison plus the stalking incident during the Harvest Festival."

After listening to the rest of my explanation, Principal Weems was in shock as she completely neglected the possibility of Nightshade poison and could easily kill anyone who was poisoned.

Principal Weems deliberated and with a heavy sigh told me to keep extra attention to Ms. Thornhill and ignore Xavier as she was the one who provided the artist with the shack. Surprise was the expression written all over my face as she told me to ignore Xavier but ultimately agreed.

My tone changed to a more intimidating voice as I told her my concerns about Xavier and warned Principal Weems if he acts against Wednesday in any way, there will be dire consequences. My rising aura caused a few cracks along the walls as I made my statement.

I also informed Principal Weems that I will be telling Wednesday about our investigation to give her a heads-up in case Wednesday asked questions later. Principal Weems was helpless and agreed with me as she knew how persistent Wednesday could be. I bid her farewell and headed out of the office.

I Shadow Exchanged to the roof of Ophelia Hall and cooled off my increasingly irritated mood. I laid down as the wind blew past me and ultimately fell asleep. A couple hours passed by before I woke up from my nap with the moon hanging on the horizon. I stood up and headed to the ledge before dropping down to Wednesday and Enid's balcony.

Both of the girls were already inside minding their own business. They looked towards my direction and got up to greet me with hugs and kisses. Mostly hugs from Enid and a kiss from Wednesday. They asked where I was and I told them I fell asleep on the roof after calming my mood.

Wednesday questioned, "What happened for your mood to affect you so much?"

I looked over to Wednesday and sighed, "It had something to do with Xavier. I found his shack in the woods nearby and there was some disturbing painting about the creature we've been investigating. From what I know about his psychic power is to make his paintings come to life."

My mood fluctuated once again and took a deep breath before continuing, "He had a painting of you Wednesday so I got irritated. He also got into my suspect list after that."

Wednesday narrowed her eyes as her expression worsened as she listened to my explanation while Enid was shocked as she did not expect that from Xavier. It seemed like Nevermore's tortured artist was more disturbing than we were led to believe.

Enid looked at me and asked, "By the way, what was the thing with Principal Weems you were going to tell us about??"

Wednesday also looked over after hearing Enid's question. I knew it was gonna happen sooner or later so I might as well get it over with. I explained the whole investigation Principal Weems asked of me. I explained my suspicions and what kind the monster is as well.

The two girls looked shocked as they listened to my explanation. Wednesday finally knew what kind of creature that had been terrorising Jericho recently–the Hyde. She couldn't believe that the Hyde turned out to be Tyler, the barista from the Weathervane. What a turn of events for Wednesday and Enid.

Most of the questions bothering Wednesday were answered by the results of Y/N's investigation. Wednesday kept asking questions while I answered them calmly. Enid was just watching the interaction with a smile on her face.

Enid walked behind me and gave me a tight hug and said, "You don't need to to feel anxious for keeping this from us. After all, you were protecting us and helping in your own way. We appreciate what you did, don't we Wednesday?"

Wednesday walked over to me and put both of her hands on my cheeks and said, "I really do appreciate what you did and thank you for always being there for us. We understand your concerns, Mon Cheri."

She proceeded to kiss my lips before letting go. Enid bit my earlobe before kissing my neck. I kissed both of them back before holding them both close.

I whispered to them, "I'm really lucky to have you be with me, my loves. Thank you~"

I took them to the bed before laying down. The two girls got comfortable and laid on both sides of me. We just cuddled and talked about the future and the upcoming Rave'n dance before slowly heading to sleep. The quiet night left a tranquil end to the day for all three of them.

The next day was another calm day with the exception of the students in a Rave'n craze this Saturday. Wednesday, Enid, and I went to grab some breakfast before heading to class. I warned them both to be careful of Ms. Thornhill and Xavier, just in case. I also told Wednesday to hold a seance later tonight to contact Goody.

I'm pretty sure she could answer some questions you might have. I need to imbue her spirit to a ring for Wednesday so she can follow her around as well as teach her some spells for protection. After warning them, we all went our separate ways as class would start soon. The classes came and went as usual with no suspense whatsoever.

Feeling the dreary school life weighing me down.

I thought to myself, "I should really go spar with Igris and the Shadow Knights to get rid of this helpless feeling lately. I really hope there's some news soon about Tyler. I'm sure I can torture the guy some more considering he had killed a few people already."

After a while, I went to the Quad to chat with Eugene and ask what he had been doing lately. I apologized to him about not staying in the dorm room to sleep since I started dating Wednesday and Enid.

Eugene didn't mind at all and asked if I could help him pick out a suit for the Rave'n. I was shocked to say the least for him to get a date for the Rave'n. I asked him who it was and to my surprise, it was our resident vampire Yoko. I put my arm around his head and asked how he asked a baddie vampire to the Rave'n.

Eugene told me, "I didn't actually plan to ask her but she asked me for help with tutoring for English class. It led from one thing to another so I just sucked it up and asked her to go to the Rave'n with me. I didn't think she would agree though so I figured I should ask you for some advice."

I had a big smile on my face and told him, "My man!! Look at you getting your first date and a vampire at that. Careful she doesn't suck all your blood up unless you're into that kind of thing."

I eyebrow wiggled at Eugene making him red with thoughts about it. I just laughed at his innocence.

I told him, "Well we gotta clean you up first and then grab a white suit for you. So the first stop is the barber shop seeing as your fluffy hair is kinda all over the place but we can keep that advantage with a perm to make a parted look. It should be able to make waves and create a more fuller look. We can grab the suit later."

I told him to make some time around Friday so I could go with him to get cleaned up and grab his suit on the way. Eugene just nodded like a chicken thanking God for my help since he had no experience at all.

After chatting with Eugene for a while, I left the dorm room again but before I left I told Eugene to wear protection when he brings Yoko over. Eugene was in a blubbering mess after that so I just laughed loudly and left.

I smiled and thought, "I'm glad Eugene is finally stepping out of his shell."

I tried looking for Wednesday and Enid but they seemed to have left for Jericho. I guess they're preparing for the Rave'n. I'm looking forward to what they will look like.

I suddenly got a notice from one of the Shadow Knights that someone is approaching the Gates' Mansion. They relayed that it was a woman with red boots. Stroking my chin, the only person I had known to wear red boots is Ms. Thornhill and now we finally got a new lead.

I Shadow Exchanged with the Shadow Knight and looked over the distance. It is indeed Ms. Thornhill and she seemed to be holding something inside a jar. Looking closer with the silhouette, it appears to be an arm.

"Is Ms. Thornhill, the Hyde's master? For what purpose is she trying to prove by killing hikers and collecting body parts?" I thought as more questions popped in my head.

It's nearly dusk so I summoned Igris and a few Shadow Knights to come with me to the Gates' Mansion. It took a few minutes to get close to the mansion before I saw Ms. Thornhill leave the premises in a hurry. I strengthened the Shadow Seed and sent a Shadow Knight to keep tabs on her.

I made sure that the area was clear before I slowly opened the door to the Gates' Mansion. I sent the Shadow Knights to investigate every room of the mansion while I kept Igris with me. I headed towards the study of the mansion and saw an indent on one of the pillars of the bookshelves. I pushed it only to reveal an altar with Joseph Crackstone with blood writing on the wall "Blood will rain when I rise."

"Well that's a bit ominous. Nothing a blade to the heart can't fix," I thought confidently.

I was informed by a Shadow Knight they found severed body parts in the basement as well as a well-kept room with girlish accessories.

I thought about the choices whether to go upstairs or down the basement first. After giving it some thought, I headed upstairs to check the room. I arrived in the room to see it all neat and clean with no hint of cobwebs or dust. I saw a music box on the table. I picked it up and saw a compartment, only to see pictures of Wednesday when she was playing her cello as well as various locations whenever she's alone.

"Is Ms. Thornhill, ...Laurel Gates? It seems suspicious that every other room is all decrepit but this room. She would have every right to curse and kill the outcasts after causing the deaths of her family," I thought out loud.

Pondered after a while and commented, "A good actor that woman is. For her to bide her time and work with ones who killed her family."

I understand her plight but seeing as she's threatening Wednesday and Enid's safety as well as Nevermore, she will have to die soon. The faster I could finish this case, the faster I could relax after it's done. After this school year ends, I'll be heading to a new world and anchor this one incase I need to come back to visit. I really hope I know what world it would be.

I headed down the stairs after putting the music box along with the pictures in the Shadow Storage. Along the way, I see the pictures of the Gates family and books on the shelves. Upon arriving at the basement, I was alerted by the sentry that a car was approaching the Gates Mansion and the person who came out seemed to be Mayor Walker.

I opened the door to the basement only to see jars filled with an unknown liquid as well as the missing body parts. I took pictures for evidence before heading towards the front door. I opened the door only for Mayor Walker to jump in fright as he didn't expect anyone to be here.

I smiled and said, "Hello Mayor, fancy seeing you here. I'm sure you have some questions but I think you should come with me to the basement. I found some things you'll be interested in. It's related to the hiking slaughters around town."

Before Mayor Walker could get a word in, I walked back into the mansion and the mayor rushed to catch up as well. Once again heading down to the basement, I showed the mayor my findings.

Mayor Walker was stunned at the discovery of the missing body parts and said, "Good work, young man. With this evidence, we can at least send regards to the families of the murdered hikers."

I also reminded, "Mayor Walker, I believe you should call the sheriff and others to collect this evidence. I believe the perpetrator would not leave this place for too long."

Mayor Walker nodded, "Agreed. This may be moved if the perpetrator realizes there have been people inside." He pulled out his phone and called the sheriff to bring the police force to the Gates Mansion.

Ten minutes went by quickly before both Mayor Walker and I heard the police sirens. We headed to the front door and saw the sheriff and the police force. Sheriff Galpin saw me with the mayor and suddenly had an ugly expression. Tyler who was recuperating at home told him that Y/N was responsible for him being bedridden.

Sheriff Galpin buried down his anger as he vaguely knew his son was an outcast like his mother. Further protecting his son's identity will eventually come out and he may be taken if not killed for the recent killings.

Mayor Walker was filling in Sheriff Galpin about the findings we found in the basement and asked to be cordoned off. The sheriff also questioned me why I was here. I told him I was investigating for a few months on who the creature is or if it was connected to the missing body parts. After saying my side of the story, I told them I would return to Nevermore seeing as the police are here to finish this investigation.

Before leaving, I came close to Sheriff Galpin and whispered, "I hope you can keep Tyler on a short leash. I know you know he's a Hyde like his mother before. I made sure to investigate your family specifically as your son had a malevolent and chaotic presence to him attributing to his Hyde self. My advice is for him to never appear in front of me or Wednesday or else an arm won't be the only thing missing. The next time would be his life. Another thing is that whoever woke up his Hyde side is the one controlling your boy. You don't have to worry about that seeing as that person will die by my hands as that person threatened the safety of my loved ones and Nevermore. I hope you have a good night, Sheriff."

I walked towards the darkness and disappeared as I Shadow Exchanged back to Nevermore.

Sheriff Galpin was sweating bullets from that information. The way he told me gave a murderous absolution.

"He will really kill Tyler if he steps out of line. I have to talk to Tyler about staying put even if I have to sedate my son for his protection. I hope that everything goes well and Tyler stays out of it. I don't want to lose another family member," Sheriff Galpin thought.

I arrived in Nevermore and headed to Principal Weems' office to make a report again. I went inside her office only to see her working on some documents as the fire from the fireplace illuminated the room.

Before Principal Weems could answer, I said, "We finally got our Hyde's master. It's Laurel Gates."

Principal Weems was shocked and hurriedly said, "Impossible!! Laurel Gates drowned when she left the country."

I replied back and brought out the music box, "It would be impossible if the drowning was a cover-up. I can confidently say that Laurel Gates is Ms. Thornhill. She had been biding her time as she further infiltrated this school. Having access to the ingredients for Nightshade poison without arousing suspicion would be her plan before implementing her plan to destroy this school."

I handed her the music box along with pictures of Wednesday and continued, "Apparently she had been keenly interested in Wednesday but you do not need to worry as I am keeping an eye on her and will end her life if she crosses that line. I will not let any danger come to Wednesday or Enid or this school. Also I found the missing body parts that were being hoarded by Laurel so I got the police to collect the evidence and sooner or later, they will link them to Ms. Thornhill. Seeing as I'm telling you this, I might as well come clean about myself. My power is not just telekinesis. There's more.."

The shadows enveloped the room dimming the light of the fire as the Shadow Knight and Igris manifested alongside Rowan's shadow.

Shock was the expression I could see from Principal Weems' face. She could not believe this young man she entrusted the investigation with would be hiding such an overwhelming power. She saw knights lined up keeping watch for their king.

She also saw a silhouette of Rowan on the side and called out, "Rowan, is that you? How?"

"Rowan" looked over at me and I nodded to him. "Rowan" answered, "Hello Principal Weems, I hope you're doing well. I was lucky enough to be brought back by Y/N in this form. I hope you can let my parents and relatives know that I'm in a safe place."

I called out to Principal Weems, "I pulled his shadow and resurrected him. In a way, he's immortal."

Words cannot describe what she was hearing. Immortality is within reach yet she felt that there would be consequences for it. For example, her death would be a prerequisite.

"Either way I would be taking care of Laurel after a while. No one would know her disappearance and I hope you can keep this future act a secret," I resolutely asked.

Principal Weems saw my confident attitude towards the situation and sighed, "Alright Mr. Ashborn. I will let you handle this matter and no need to report to me after tonight. I wish you good luck with your endeavours and good night."

I thanked her and bowed slightly in respect for this woman who took me in when I just arrived in this world. I left the office soon after and headed to Ophelia Hall. I Shadow Exchanged to the roof of Wednesday and Enid's room and climbed down.

I saw that Enid was on her bed silently watching Wednesday conduct her seance. I controlled my energy and sent it to the seance as it increased the intensity; Goody slowly materialised in front of Wednesday.

I opened the balcony door only to have all three girls turn their eyes on me. Enid leaped from her bed and I caught her in the air as she proceeded to hug me tight. Wednesday smirked and welcomed me back with a kiss on the cheek. Goody was a little jealous and only hovered next to Wednesday.

Goody asked, "O King of the Dead, will you be purging Crackstone soon? The red moon is approaching soon as well as his resurrection."

Wednesday looked over to Goody and asked, "Crackstone will live again soon? That means you'll need my blood to free him."

Goody nodded and replied, "Exactly. I hope you can free him so that the King would destroy his body and spirit forever without any hope of resurrecting in the future."

Wednesday agreed at her ancestor's suggestion and looked over to me, "Did you find anything new?"

I responded back, "Indeed. I found out your dorm mom is Laurel Gates, who faked her own death to get revenge on the school."

I stroked Wednesday's head and continued, "Don't you worry. I'll be dealing with Laurel as well as Crackstone as soon as they jump out. Tyler is a maybe for now since I warned his dad about keeping him on a short leash, if not Tyler will be losing his life instead of an arm."

I proceeded to show Tyler's severed arm from the Shadow Storage before returning it back.

"All in all, just relax and enjoy our upcoming dance. I'm pretty sure you got your own surprise for the rest of the students," as I finished talking.

Wednesday had an evil smirk on her face and thought, "It seems like Mon Cheri figured something out but I love my man being inquisitive like myself."

She said, "Nothing gets past you and I really hope you enjoy the surprise at that time."

Enid looked up at me and happily said, "I sooooo can't wait for the dance. I got the perfect dress to show off to you. I wanna slow dance with you there ok? I want my turn after Wednesday."

I laughed and agreed to her request, "I will, Enid. I will. You got yourself a slow dance with me~!"

Looking over to Goody and asked, "Goody, do you want to transfer your spirit now or after we dealt with Crackstone?"

Goody answered, "After would be better for me. I believe Crackstone would sense my presence and annihilate me if given the chance."

I just nodded and assured her that her new home would be as comfortable as I could make it.

With all that said and done, Goody disappeared while Wednesday cleaned up the seance ritual on the floor. Enid was still stuck to me like an octopus, not that I mind of course. Wednesday also went to shower to get rid of the smell from the candles. Enid also got off me and ran to the bathroom to shower with Wednesday. I was left alone sitting on the bed and talking out a book to read to pass the time.

The silence went on for about half an hour since the girls were enjoying themselves in the bathroom. They came out with their hair still damp and steamy and told me to shower as well. I closed my book before heading in. I took about ten minutes before coming out with just shorts on.

I asked Wednesday, "Where's Thing? I haven't seen him in a while."

Wednesday replied nonchalantly, "My uncle came to town and they're having an adventure around the area. I think they're gonna rob a bank like they did before."

I raised an eyebrow and said, "Must've been a good heist then. Anyway I'll keep the Shadow Knights on sentry duty as well as have the same knights protecting you two in your shadows. Right now, I'm tracking Laurel and making sure she doesn't make any drastic moves when the Rave'n starts."

Enid started cheering and cheerfully said, "Don't worry we can protect ourselves too. With my claws and Wednesday's deadly...uhh stuff, we'll be just fine."

Wednesday just shrugged and leaned against me while she wrote down her thoughts on her notebook while Enid was on her laptop editing her blog. The whole atmosphere was calm and enjoyable as we continued to do our own thing before heading to bed.

A few days have passed and the Rave'n starts the next day. I got up early and told the girls I'll be heading to town with Eugene to get him cleaned up. The girls were also surprised Eugene had a date for the Rave'n considering how he is. I also told them if they needed anything, I was just a text or call away. I went down and met up with Eugene and took the shuttle bus to Jericho.

While on the bus, I was thinking of ways to break the news to both Wednesday and Enid about me leaving this world soon and if they would like to join me. I can always bring them back here if they ever get homesick.

I sighed and made up my mind and thought, "The best way is the simple way. I'll just be honest with them and ask for their thoughts on the matter. I'm sure Wednesday would not pass the opportunity and Enid will probably stay stuck to me if I don't take her."

Chuckling at the thought, the shuttle ride was quick and both me and Eugene got to Jericho with no problems.

We headed to the barber shop in town next to the psychiatrist office and sat down until it was Eugene's turn. I told the barber what kind of haircut and style of his hair as well as cleaned up his eyebrows.

The barber agreed with my choices for Eugene as it would be a great transformation after it's done. The barber immediately started to work while I just nodded to Eugene and sat down playing with my phone. Thirty minutes or so went by and the barber finally finished his craft.

Suffice to say, Eugene had a great transformation after cleaning up. Eugene couldn't believe his eyes looking at himself and how the person in the mirror was him. Chuckling at his shock, I paid the barber and headed out. Before they left the barber shop, the barber asked if he could take a picture of Eugene to act as a guide for this particular hairstyle.

Eugene was nervous but I just agreed to the barber's request since this would be a confidence boost for Eugene. I told Eugene to be confident about himself and he'll be just fine. Perhaps the popularity from this would garner attention for more people joining the Hummers Club in the future.

With fire in Eugene's eyes, I confidently posed for the photos for his future club prosperity. I just laughed at his antics.

"He really loves those bees," I thought while laughing.

We finally left the barber shop and went to grab Eugene's suit in one of the dress shops. It seems there's a nice traffic of people coming and going because of the Rave'n dance. Good thing I already had the suit pre-ordered when I found out about Eugene's participation.

We both rushed out of the store before it got too cramped and told him one last stop would be the floral shop to grab a corsage. I already had the necklaces from before so they're perfect for Wednesday and Enid. I was distracted with my thought and Eugene shook me to grab my attention telling me he picked up the corsage already.

I patted Eugene on his shoulder and said, "Alright then. Let's head back and relax because I'm pretty sure you're anxious about tomorrow. So rest up and calm yourself."

We took the shuttle back to Nevermore and it was getting dark soon by the time we arrived. We got off the shuttle bus and went our separate ways. I headed to Wednesday's dorm via Shadow Exchange.

I saw Wednesday writing her novel while I saw Thing back reading a magazine on Enid's bed. For fear of disturbing Wednesday's writing time, I went to the kitchen to brew some tea. I poured myself as well as Wednesday a cup. I moved towards her before laying the cup of fresh tea next to Wednesday. She looked to my side a little surprised at my appearance as she was too focused on her writing to notice his presence.

I smiled and told her I'll be on the balcony when she finished her writing time. Wednesday only nodded and appreciated the gesture before going back to writing. I headed to the balcony leaning over the edge as I watched the moon slowly rise to the night sky.

The breeze felt soothing as the temperature cooled down with the rustling of the trees added to the tranquility of the night. Not long after appreciating the scenery, I felt two arms clumsily wrapping around my waist.

I turned to look to see Wednesday burying her face on my back. It was the one of the few times she took initiative to make physical contact but she's getting better.

"Is there something on your mind, Mi Cuervo?," I asked calmly.

Wednesday was enjoying the warmth from holding me and answered hesitantly, "I do, Mon Cheri. Lately I have felt you will be leaving somewhere far away. I couldn't shake the feeling but I trust my intuition. So I ask: Will you be leaving us?"

Wednesday's intuition never fails to amaze me. This accuracy is a bit overwhelming considering I will be leaving after the school year ends.

I lowered my head and slowly replied, "I am.. but I want to explain everything to you and Enid after the Rave'n. It involves my deepest secret and I want to explain properly so you both can understand. Will you wait till then, Mi Amor?"

Wednesday only held me tighter with tears welled in her eyes feeling grief at my inevitable departure. She slowly nodded and I turned around and held her tenderly.

I smiled caringly and said, "I believe my answer to you and Enid will satisfy your curiosity, I promise."

I kissed her forehead as she calmed down her surging emotions and we went back inside to just cuddle and enjoy each other's company. A couple hours went by and Wednesday fell asleep in my arms before I noticed Enid entering the room. I held my finger to my lips signalling Enid to remain quiet as Wednesday had a tiring day.

Enid understood and walked carefully making no noise as she approached me. Enid leaned in for a kiss to which I happily returned before she went to her side and opened her laptop to update her blog.

I slowly woke up Wednesday so she could get ready for bed. She groggily woke up and looked over at me. I faintly smiled and held her cheek while stroking gently. I told her to best rest up after all tomorrow is a big day for the three of them.

Wednesday agreed but gave me another "You better explain tomorrow" look before cleaning up in the bathroom. I looked at Enid getting sleepy editing her blog. I walked over and shook her to let her know to get ready for bed. Enid jolted awake and panicked about getting her beauty sleep for tomorrow. Enid thanked me before rushing to the bathroom as well.

I looked outside at the moon and said, "Tomorrow starts the countdown of my departure from this world. I hope Wednesday and Enid will come with me."

I took out the two necklaces I got from Uriah's Heap and imbued them with pure energy in hopes of strengthening the powers Wednesday and Enid had as well as protection from abnormal afflictions. I directly added Shadow energy to the obsidian necklace while I directed the Moon's lunar energy to the moonstone necklace.

Various colorful energies were visible to the naked eye as the concentration of energy was being sucked into the two necklaces. After ten minutes, the energies had stabilised and would last for years to come before needing to refill them once more. That took a lot out of me since it was my first time making these types of magical accessories.

Beads of sweat rolled down my forehead before wiping them away. I breathed a sigh of relief at my success and put the necklaces back in the Shadow Storage and headed inside. I saw Wednesday and Enid all dressed for sleep so I went to shower as well. It didn't take me long before I came out all cleaned up and asked the girls to sleep for the night. I laid down and had the two girls in my arms as we drifted to Morpeus' realm.

Today is the big day. The Rave'n starts tonight and everyone is in an excited mood. The girls are making sure the dresses and hairstyles are perfect while the guys are grooming themselves to look cleaner and presentable for tonight. All three of us woke up one after the other.

While the girls were getting ready for the day, I slipped out and headed to the cafeteria to cook them some breakfast. Today's menu is Eggs Benedict with a side of salad along with a cup of coffee to start the day. I made three batches as usual and stored them away. I Shadow Exchanged again back to the room before the girls finished getting ready. I set up the table outside and brought out the food and utensils.

I took a cup of coffee and leaned against the balcony enjoying the sunshine invigorating my body. Wednesday and Enid saw me by the balcony peacefully looking over the horizon. They felt like the whole atmosphere around Y/N was a mosaic masterpiece etched in time. While they were enjoying their view, I noticed them looking dumbfounded at me.

I waved to them and woke them up from their stupor and said, "Come, my loves. Breakfast is ready~!"

They rushed outside to see the breakfast I made for them and they're stomachs rumbled prompting their blushes.

I chuckled at their embarrassment and said, "Dig in."

They both sat down and took a bit out of their food and felt like heaven. It was cooked to perfection as every bite felt like their souls were sublimated in pure happiness. They scarfed down their food in no time while I finished a bit ahead of them. I just silently sipped my coffee enjoying the atmosphere. Both Wednesday and Enid were satisfied with their breakfast judging from the smiles on their faces.

Wednesday commented, "Delicious breakfast as always."

Enid also commented, "YEAH!! Your food is sooo good. Maybe you can start a restaurant or something in the future."

I just chuckled and replied, "I'll think about it in the future."

Enid told me to enjoy my day and wait in the lobby tonight to pick her and Wednesday up since they will start getting ready later on. They didn't want me to see their dresses yet so I could only agree and hang out with Eugene.

I left and Shadow Exchanged back to my old dorm room only to see Eugene still sleeping. I laughed a little bit and it seemed like Eugene never changed his sleeping habits. I just woke up Eugene who was drooling on his bed. Eugene was shocked to say the least and told him to get clean up and get some food with me. He didn't hesitate much as Eugene is kind of a foodie so he cleaned up fast and we headed straight to the cafeteria.

I just grabbed some more coffee while Eugene had a full-course breakfast. The rest of the time was just chit chatting with others to pass the time. It was already dusk and both me and Eugene went back up to the dorm room to get ready for the Rave'n. I already got my suit on as well as my trench coat while Eugene was wearing the white suit and fixing his hair.

Suffice to say, we look great. I told him I'll be heading to the lobby for Wednesday and Enid and that I will see him inside. Eugene was nervous but showed a confident look to impress Yoko with his new transformation. I arrived at the lobby and waited for the two girls to come down. It only took fifteen minutes of waiting before Wednesday and Enid came down.

"Wow! You two look magnificent. You both took my breath away," I exclaimed in awe.

Enid just squealed while Wednesday was smirking at my face. Those dresses they picked out did not disappoint. Wednesday was dressed in black decorated with sheer and tulle resulting in the embodiment of a grim romance while Enid was wearing a white fur dress which was a complete contrast to Wednesday.

I walked to their sides before bringing out their necklaces. The two were in shock as they both did not expect this gift for them to wear now. I tied the necklaces on their necks as it further enhanced their appeal in combination with their dresses.

I explained to them, "Both necklaces are imbued with magical energies to protect you and enhance your own magical abilities. Wednesday's is made out of obsidian while Enid's is made out of moonstone."

I looked towards Wednesday and said, "May the Shadows embrace you, Mi Cuervo."

I then turned to Enid and said, "May the Grace of the Moon be with you, my wolf."

Both Wednesday and Enid felt their bodies getting stronger and more beautiful as I finished chanting those sentences to them. Their faces held a red hue from blushing before they took my arm on both of my sides and headed inside the Rave'n.

Everyone from the Sirens to the teachers are in the Rave'n with a DJ providing music for all. A tall ice statue of the Yeti stands tall overlooking the whole venue. Everyone was having a great time dancing and eating.

There were a few couples that caught the attention of everyone. One was Xavier and Bianca, the former couple royalty and the other was a surprise for everyone. It was Eugene and Yoko who amazed everyone, especially Eugene's transformation from a nerdy slob to a well-groomed gentleman. Even Yoko was amazed at Eugene's changes along with his style of clothing. It made her decision to accept Eugene's invitation as the right choice.

Everyone was chatting before turning their eyes to the entrance of the venue. Our steps echoed throughout the building and arrived in front of everyone. Both Wednesday and Enid attracted everyone's attention as their dresses were a complete contrast to each other.

I attracted many eyes from the ladies with or without their dates for the evening. My aloof and mysterious temperament along with my dark attire awakened some fantasy in the eyes of those females. Seeing the lingering gazes, Wednesday and Enid tightened their grasp on me as I led them to a free table.

"Looks like everyone is here. Would you care to dance?" I asked both Wednesday and Enid while holding out my hand as the lights started to dim. They took my hand and led them both to the dance floor. The DJ played a remix of Bloody Mary by Lady Gaga.

We all danced to the music in rhythm as the other students joined in with smiles on their faces. The music was sending shivers to everyone's ears, yet they kept dancing like their souls were out of control.

After the song ended, various other genres were being played as the night went on. Nearing the end of the night, the DJ encouraged every couple on the dance floor as he played a slow song to dance to. I pulled Enid first as I had been spoiling Wednesday a little more than her recently, so this was a way to make it up to her as well as fulfill my promise.

I whispered in Enid's ear as she let her head rest on my shoulder, "Enid, I'm truly glad to have met you in my life. You've brought joy and laughter in my life as you do with everyone you meet. Thank you for being patient with me, my little wolf. I love you~"

Enid opened her eyes in shock and locked with me. Her eyes gradually blurred as tears started welling up. She was speechless at Y/N's confession and her answer to him was a tender kiss as tears of joy stained her face.

She pulled back and wiped her tears and whispered, "I love you too~"

After slowing dancing for a little while, I took Enid back to sit down and took Wednesday to the dance floor. I put my hands on Wednesday's waist as she put her arms around my neck. I looked her in her eyes and slowly drifted to the rhythm of the slow dance.

I slowly held Wednesday closer and her face was resting on my chest.

I whispered to her, "Wednesday, from the day I met you I knew you were special. You were independent, cunning, willful as well as your lust to find truth and knowledge. Despite everything that happened, I fell for you with all your quirks and imperfections. All I'm trying to say is — I love you Wednesday~"

Wednesday felt her eyes water as she remembered what happened last night but held it in as she looked at me. She aggressively kissed me as she held me as if holding on to a lifeline. After a while, she pulled back gasping for air as I did the same.

She replied with tenderness in her voice, "I love you too Y/N~"

I smiled and held her as she held me. We slowly danced for a few more minutes before heading back to Enid. I took out an umbrella for Enid to use as she was just confused why she was handed an umbrella to use. I only told her to use it now so she doesn't get her dress dirty. On que, the sprinkler started and instead of water, it was spouting blood. Wednesday had an evil smile on her face as her plan worked.

She used pig's blood mixed with the sprinkler system to give this Rave'n a night they would remember. The blood had splattered all over Wednesday and me while Enid was protected under the umbrella I took out. We all left the venue and headed back to Wednesday and Enid's room to get cleaned up. The girls headed to the bathroom to shower while I stood outside on the balcony.

"I felt that the balcony became my safe space to relax and clear my mind. After I shower, I'll be asking them if they would like to come with me to a new world to explore," I thought.

The night sky is beautiful tonight as if the stars are blessing this place. While I was in a daze, I felt a tap on my side only to see Enid in her comfy clothes. She told me to take a shower since Wednesday and she was done. I thanked her for letting me know before I headed inside to shower.

Wednesday was drying her hair on her bed as I passed by her to the bathroom. I closed the door and let the hot, steamy shower cleanse my body. The whole shower did not take long to clean up. I wiped myself off and put on some clean clothes. I walked to my bed and called both Wednesday and Enid over. The two felt something serious was about to begin, so they made sure to be attentive at this time.

I took a deep breath and looked them in the eye and said, "I know you've both felt I had been in a lot of pressure lately. Wednesday I told you I would tell you the reason and now's the time. Thank you for your patience. I'm here to tell you both that I will be leaving Nevermore after this school year ends."

Wednesday and Enid started to tear up as the thought of my departure was unbearable to them.

I continued, "My destination is not somewhere you can follow unless you're willing to leave behind your families for a long period of time. After all, I'm not from this world."

Both Wednesday and Enid stopped crying as my information came as a shock to them. They never thought that the person they fell in love with is not from their world. With questions raging in their minds, they held off asking and letting me finish my explanation.

I smiled and continued, "I have the ability to travel to different worlds. Some worlds are adapted from movies and TV shows while others are from games and animation as well as novels. In fact, this was the second world I have travelled to and I am so genuinely glad I did. If not, I wouldn't have met you two. My only question is: will you explore the vast multiverse with me?"

Silence deafened the whole room as both girls' thoughts were in a storm-like jumble. This was an earth-shattering discovery as the existence of the multiverse existed. The living proof is their newfound love. The chance to discover new worlds and new civilizations whether they be medieval times, modern times, or futuristic times.

It took a very long time before Wednesday spoke up and said, "I told you already Y/N. I belong to you and you belong to me. You're not getting rid of me ever!! You can't get rid of me, even if you wanted to. I accept your invitation, Mon Cheri~!"

Enid made up her mind as well and said with a big smile, "That's right. We're sticking together. You're my mate and my alpha so I will follow you for the rest of my life. Plus I can't just leave Wednesday without me tagging along. I wonder what kind of world we'll go to next? I'm soooo excited eeeek!!"

Hearing their approval, the worry I had from the bottom of my heart disappeared without a trace. I finally have companions who will stand by me as I go through different worlds.

The first order of business is to resupply on supplies like outdoor gears, food supplies, weapons as well as munitions. I better stock some books on modern farming, architecture, modern medicines, etcs. For weapons and munitions, I should just "borrow" it from a nearby military base.

Vehicles are another priority as I don't know if I'll be stranded on land or the ocean. A military truck and military chopper are good choices and grabbing a yacht will provide comfort and a way for ocean survival with minimal crew members. Anyways my thoughts are getting off track again. I'll think more about this when we are all getting ready to go. I went and held them tightly in my arms.

All I could say was, "Thank you for being with me~"

We all just held each other and then got comfortable in bed while asking questions from me.

The night continued on with questions from both girls. I tried answering them as best as I could. I did tell them I would like to find a world to give them a bloodline to increase their lifespan as well as survivability.

Wednesday's thinking about it as accepting a foreign bloodline means forsaking her humanity but it wouldn't faze her much as long as it belongs to the dark side. Enid on the other hand, will only need to enhance her own werewolf bloodline.

The threshold of her bloodline is very high in other worlds and some are even servants of gods, gods themselves, or godkillers. Needless to say, Enid has a higher starting point compared to Wednesday.

This fateful night ended in good spirits but their journey towards the multiverse had just begun.
