Ficool

Chapter 8 - friends.

Ariel said nothing as she looked at him. "Oh, I can certainly help you with that."

She got in close. Closer than he ever thought she would get as she pressed her body up against his, wrapping her left arm around his body once more.

Every time she did a gesture like this, it became harder and harder to ignore as time passed.

'Get yourself together.' He'd always say, but it wasn't working.

Without thinking, he wrapped his right arm around her as well. This was purely to help stabilize himself to her, no other reason whatsoever.

She then slid off of the edge, quickly grabbing on to the tree bark with her spare hand, with Jairo in tow.

Jairo looked down to see four other werewolves climbing upwards to see him getting carried like a damsel in distress, one lady was holding onto the tree, in shock because of Who Ariel is or because of how easy she was making it look was anyone's guess.

She began crawling around the tree, going around the side all the way to the back. at some point many people climbed up from one side, so their were no grooves here.

"Please don't try anything experimental with me." He said wrapping his other arm around her neck, causing her to start laughing.

"Hey, this isn't funny either. Focus up!" He said in panic. Her laughs were shaking him. She was strong, but he didn't want to test just how long she could hold on.

Then, out of nowhere, she jumped back, falling for a bit, enjoying the feeling of free falling before digging her hand back into the tree, fully sliding down. her face was full of excitement as she turned him him, a smile that quickly turned a bit worried when she saw him.

"Jairo, are you alright? Jairo!"

Jairo in question was horrified, frozen completely for a drop from tens of feet. the expression he was making was the result of him trying and failing to look calm. Mouth shut but unmoving.

His eyes were also wider than normal. He didn't care. 'She should be happy i didn't empty my bladder after that shit!!'

Taking a breath he slowly turned his head towards her. "Never do that again."

"Hehe…my bad." She said as she released him and watched him wobble over before deciding to sit down.

"So…you wanna finish up at my place?"

She said, looking at him. To which he just nodded. "You gotta give me a moment, that is if you don't want me to throw up."

He then switched to laying down, staring up at the trees, or rather trying to see the sky beyond them.

Jairo looked adorable no matter what he did. It seemed like she would have to put those feelings to the side, as he was fighting for his life now.

Something about her demeanor seemed off for the first time. Thankfully, Jairo was done laying down, stretching himself. He didn't seem to notice, and was ready.

"Come on. Let me gets some water first to freshen up."

The next day came, and at this point it had been five days since his reincarnation. the village became more familiar to him, as did walking around with another limb attached to his lower back.

They get back to her home, and see a few familiar faces. her two wolves named bast and regulus.

They had grayish fur and yellow eyes, like most wolves, but they stood a head above him and the Average wolf while being quadrupedal.

And a few others that she brought over.

"Ariel…you do know these people right?"

She nodded. "These are my friends. Since I haven't shown up in a few days, they're coming to me."

A bigger wolf came up with mostly blackened fur.

"Ariel, what's happened? You know to tell us when something is up right?"

She pointed to him. "That's Nero."

She then dragged her hand the the big guy when was getting angry about his ignored questions, to a skinny girl, who wasn't saying anything, and one guy who seemed to say too much, not even focused on her.

"The girl is Maribel and the other guy is harken. I've actually wanted you guys to meet, just not under these conditions. I gotta teach you more."

Nero looked towards him with an almost angry disposition. "This is the guy that's been keeping you? This twig? Whatever you're teaching him is not working."

"That body of yours most be doing all the thinking for you. Five days doesn't change much no matter how you slice it." Jairo cut in, annoyed already.

Ariel was already annoyed with them, but waited. "I get that, but he's got a day at most before they start questioning him."

Harken finally broke from the conversation with Maribel to look at Them. "And what does that have to do with us? You want us to babysit this little dude?" He said as he walks closer to them.

She then continued. "I was actually hoping that you all would help him in some way, so that he could get out of this alive, idiot."

Harken takes a good long stare, his orange eyes looking at Jairo, almost as if he were staring into his soul.

"We'll see what we can do. But first, can we go inside?"

"Sure, the sooner I fill you all in, the better."
