Trusting Alpha Joseph feels like my only option right now. I have no choice but to hope he keeps his word about saving my sister. Chester despises him with a burning hatred, though he never explains why. Chester leads through fear and murder, not respect. He stays Alpha by killing anyone brave enough to challenge him. Some of us suspect he cheats during challenges, but without proof, he remains in power.
Not anymore. Joseph is my Alpha now. The thought of Adaline believing I'm dead tears at my heart.
They need to reach her fast. Chester was ready to force her into being his chosen mate against her will right before we got orders to attack Joseph's pack. Since Chester was obsessed with getting Adaline into his bed to mark and mate her, someone else must have given that attack order. Probably Alpha Deon. He's just as ruthless as Chester, only smarter about it.
