Chapter 81 - Rule No. 82: Don’t Ask for Forever Too Loudly

Nothing officially changed after that.

And yet—everything did.

Aira noticed it in small, almost invisible ways.

Reyhan waited for her outside class even when he was running late.

He remembered how she took her coffee.

He listened without interrupting, like her words mattered even when they weren't important.

It was quiet care.

The kind that didn't announce itself.

They were sitting on the low wall near the parking area, bags dropped beside them, the evening stretching slow and lazy.

"Everyone keeps asking me what we are now," Aira said, half-laughing, half-tired.

Reyhan looked at her.

"What do you tell them?"

"I tell them… nothing," she replied.

"That I don't feel like explaining something that still feels private."

He smiled at that.

"I like that," he said.

"Keeping things ours for a bit."

Aira glanced at him.

"You don't feel the pressure?"

"I do," Reyhan admitted.

"But I don't want to rush into labels just to calm other people."

That settled something in her chest.

They sat there for a while, watching people come and go.

"Aira," Reyhan said suddenly.

She turned to him.

"If someday I ask for more," he continued quietly,

"not loudly, not dramatically—just honestly—"

He stopped, choosing his words.

"Will you hear it?"

She didn't answer immediately.

Instead, she leaned her head lightly against his shoulder.

"I already am," she said.

Reyhan didn't move.

Didn't put his arm around her either.

He just stayed still, like he was afraid to break the moment.

That felt more intimate than anything else.

Aira closed her eyes.

She wasn't waiting for a grand promise anymore.

She wasn't chasing forever.

She was letting it approach at its own pace.

And for the first time, that felt enough.

RULE #82: Don't ask for forever too loudly.

If it's real,

it will come closer on its own.
