📖 Scene — The Angel's Escape
When Lilith left the continent of Mira, she smiled faintly—a subtle smile barely visible—as she quickly concealed her energy. Then her body slipped smoothly into the shadows, as if she had never existed at all.
But the angel did not hesitate.
He chased after her swiftly, flying through the sky with sharp, focused eyes. Then suddenly, he stopped and looked around in clear confusion. He frowned slightly—her presence had completely vanished… he couldn't sense her at all.
"How?" he muttered under his breath, narrowing his eyes.
Before he could move to search for her again—
Suddenly—
Something sharp pierced his chest.
His body froze for a moment.
He slowly lowered his gaze… to see a strange scythe embedded in his chest, pulsing with dark energy.
The moment he realized what had happened—
His anger ignited.
He raised his sword and swung it with tremendous force, as if the very space around him warped under the pressure.
On the other side…
Lilith frowned.
She quickly retreated, but she couldn't maintain her hidden state, revealing herself at last.
The angel smiled coldly, showing no real emotion, as his energy moved to heal his wound at an astonishing speed.
Then he launched toward her, sword in hand, his intentions clear.
Lilith looked at him with irritation, narrowing her eyes as she observed him carefully.
He was no ordinary angel…
He had four wings.
She frowned slightly, but did not hesitate.
She dashed toward him, and at the same moment swung her scythe, sending a cutting wave of demonic energy straight at him.
But—
The angel mocked the attack.
He activated his power instantly, forming a white barrier that completely surrounded him, blocking the strike effortlessly, as if it were nothing.
In an instant—
He vanished.
And reappeared directly behind Lilith.
Her eyes widened as she turned quickly—
But she was too late.
He struck her with a powerful blow.
Lilith frowned. The pain didn't clearly show on her face, but she disappeared immediately, reappearing dozens of meters away.
She stood there, looking at her wound coldly, then lifted her gaze toward the angel.
She thought for a moment.
It was clear…
He was a powerful opponent.
"I should use my full power…" the thought crossed her mind.
But she quickly dismissed it.
No time.
No benefit.
Fighting him would gain her nothing… except unwanted attention.
She shook her head, then let out a soft laugh.
Slowly…
She reached into her chest.
And pulled something out.
A black, circular gem—pulsing with terrifying energy.
The moment the angel saw it—
His eyes widened in shock.
"Do you want to die with me, you wretch?!"
he shouted, quickly backing away… then turned and fled without hesitation.
What the demoness held…
resembled a demon core.
And if it were exposed—
it could cause a massive and dangerous catastrophe.
Often…
a demon dies after removing its core.
But—
Lilith only looked at him with disdain.
"Who told you… this is my core?" she thought coldly.
Then she returned the gem back into her chest.
She frowned slightly.
"Why did an angel appear in the continent of Mira now?"
The question crossed her mind.
"Was he also trying to understand what's happening here?"
But she didn't continue thinking.
She shook her head.
And ignored it.
Then she took off again, heading toward her destination, determined to uncover the truth herself.
Elsewhere…
Far from the angel's escape and Lilith's path…
The giants stood facing something before them, their expressions grim, and a heavy silence filled the air.
One of them spoke, his voice filled with shock:
"Did that really happen…? How…? How can one of us possess such traits?!"
Another said, clearly worried:
"They must have corrupted him… this is not natural."
A third responded, his voice growing with anger:
"You're right…"
He paused briefly, then added coldly:
"We must take revenge."
All the giants agreed to the idea of revenge, their murmurs echoing like suppressed rage.
Their leader looked at them, then shook his head and laughed lightly—a strange reaction in such a tense atmosphere.
The others exchanged confused glances. They were used to seeing anger and strictness from him… not calmness and a smile.
The elder stepped forward slightly and asked:
"Did you expect this?"
The leader waved his hand dismissively:
"No… I didn't know this would happen."
He paused, then continued:
"But why do you all see this as something bad? The child, as you said, has learned both combat and deception… isn't that something valuable?"
Silence fell.
He added with a faint smile:
"He is one of us… so why be upset that one of our own has gained cunning? Couldn't that benefit us in war?"
The giants frowned.
They no longer understood his perspective.
But the leader smiled even more, as if expecting their confusion, and began explaining:
"Whenever we attack… don't we always find dragons—or others—already waiting for us?"
They nodded slowly.
"And that… is because we lack planning… and deception."
Silence returned—heavier this time.
"But the new child among us…"
He raised his head.
"Possesses both."
He looked at them all:
"Isn't that wonderful? To deceive the dragons… after they've deceived us all this time?"
At that moment—
Expressions changed.
Shock turned into excitement.
Into sudden joy.
And then—
Voices erupted.
They cheered, laughed, and their energy filled the space. The idea of revenge had evolved into something more thrilling…
A plan.
A cunning plan.
The leader turned to the elder:
"Is the child worth our time?"
She thought briefly, then smiled calmly:
"He is worth the time… and the effort."
She paused, then added:
"We should thank the race that raised him."
The leader looked toward a distant island and asked:
"And is this race strong enough to deserve our support?"
She laughed softly, confidently:
"The one I met… was not weak. And if there are others like him on that island…"
She paused, then said more heavily:
"Then we are speaking of a power… that may rival the races controlled by the dragons."
Silence fell.
Even the leader was surprised.
The celebration stopped.
Everyone thought the same thing:
"Is this race truly that strong?"
She nodded firmly:
"Yes… it is strong."
Then added:
"We only need to give them time… to grow and multiply."
She smiled faintly:
"And then… we will possess a terrifying القوة."
She lowered her voice, as if revealing a secret:
"They are few now… it seems they recently suffered a catastrophe."
She paused, then smiled again—
But differently.
"And that… pleases me."
The leader frowned:
"How could that please you?"
She answered without hesitation:
"Because those who are born next…"
She looked toward the horizon:
"Will grow up accustomed to us… and trust us from the beginning."
Then she added, her voice calm but heavy:
"And with future generations…"
She paused, then concluded:
"We will become, to them… a power that must never be abandoned… nor betrayed."
