Chapter 67 - Daughter of Hades

Odin and his brothers rushed toward their sibling, following the source of the sound that tore through the sky like thunder—the voice of Poseidon, carrying a danger that could not be ignored.

At the same time, the three twins—Odin's daughters—stood not far from the scene, exchanging glances filled with confusion.

One of them frowned and said,

"What just happened, sisters?"

The other two looked at her in silence, as if trying to make sense of what had occurred. After a moment of thought, one of them spoke:

"I don't think this has anything to do with us… does it?"

The moment they heard her words, they nodded firmly in agreement, without hesitation.

A confident smile formed on the face of the sister who had spoken first, and she said with greater boldness:

"Then let's continue what we were doing. This has nothing to do with us."

The three girls exchanged complicit looks, then smiled, completely forgetting the terrifying voice of Poseidon that had echoed moments earlier. They continued walking, testing their newly discovered abilities, stirring anger and chaos wherever they passed—as if disorder had become their favorite game.

Elsewhere, Athena's eldest daughter was moving cautiously, her eyes scanning the area in search of the three twins. Suddenly, Poseidon's violent voice froze her in place. A chill ran through her body as she stopped, struck by the danger hidden within its tone.

She wondered inwardly about the reason behind that shout and the threat it carried, but quickly shook her head, forcefully pushing the thought away before resuming her search.

She could not forget the twins' insolence, their arrogance, nor the way they had mocked her and her mother, Athena. She was determined to punish them—no matter the cost.

As for the three twins, they had no idea they were being hunted. And even if they had known, they would not have stopped. They felt an absolute sense of entitlement in what they were doing. They were on the verge of awakening their true power and would soon speak to their grandfather himself. How could they not boast? How could they not provoke others with such a discovery?

Far from their arrogance and the anger of the other children, the scene inside Hades' weapon vault was entirely different.

The sons of Asgard stood gathered, surrounding Hades' eldest daughter, whose condition was deeply alarming. Her body trembled, her breathing uneven, as if an immense power was trying to burst out of her before its time.

Poseidon was the first to break the silence, speaking in a serious voice:

"Asgard guided me here… He said Hades' eldest daughter needed help."

Odin, Athena, and Hades exchanged glances, then all stepped forward to stand beside Poseidon. They released their powers simultaneously, enveloping the girl's body in divine energy, trying to support her and prevent her fragile body from collapsing.

From the very first moment he saw her, Poseidon had felt that she was on the verge of awakening her power—but her body was not yet ready. That was why he had released the shout that shook the mountain, calling his brothers, while at the same time pouring his energy into her without hesitation.

When Odin and the others arrived, Poseidon explained the situation quickly, and together they continued feeding the girl with their power.

Heavy moments passed…

Then, suddenly, Odin stopped releasing his energy.

He raised his hand toward his brothers, signaling them to stop as well.

None of the brothers understood what Odin was doing or why he had ordered them to halt, yet they obeyed immediately, cutting off the flow of their power without hesitation.

When Odin was sure they had stopped, he took a small step away from Hades' eldest daughter and said in a calm voice laced with clear warning:

"Didn't you feel that, my brothers?"

The brothers exchanged glances, and Odin continued:

"The energy this girl has awakened… is dangerous. If we continue pouring our power into her body, that energy may interpret our actions as an attack—not support."

He paused briefly, then added while staring steadily at the girl:

"And I believe she doesn't need our help at all. Can't you see? Her body and soul are already in harmony with that energy."

Poseidon and the others looked at Odin, then nodded in agreement.

After a short moment, however, Poseidon furrowed his brows and spoke with a tone of confusion:

"Then… why did our father, Asgard, warn me and say the child was in danger and needed help?"

Odin looked at him briefly, then returned his gaze to Hades' eldest daughter and said calmly:

"I believe Asgard only wanted you to release your power into her body—to help her energy awaken faster… nothing more, my brother."

Poseidon thought about Odin's words. Deep down, he felt they were largely correct, though he was not fully convinced. He continued watching Hades' daughter, wanting to be certain for himself.

The four brothers looked at the young girl with a sense of joy.

She was the first girl of their lineage after them—a girl destined to become a ruler. True, she would need time for her soul to devour the energy she had awakened and fully merge with it to become a true ruler, but that did not diminish the pride and happiness that crept into their hearts.

After a long silence, Odin glanced behind him, shook his head, and let out a light sigh—yet he kept his eyes on Hades' daughter, as if he did not want to concern himself with what was happening outside this place.

Hades noticed and looked at him in surprise.

"What is it, brother? Is something wrong?"

Odin looked at him briefly and thought for a moment. He knew Hades might use his daughter's awakening to provoke him and feed his own arrogance. So Odin decided to provoke Hades first, to keep that arrogance in check.

He said in a deliberately doubtful tone:

"I don't know what's going on with my three daughters, brother."

Athena, Poseidon, and Hades all looked at Odin in surprise.

But among them, Athena was the only one who understood what Odin meant—she realized immediately what he was hinting at.

As for Poseidon and Hades, they had no idea what was happening, nor where Odin was leading with his words.

And it was clear that what would follow those words… would not be simple at all.
