Protected by its scales and shielded by the mist, Amphisbaena counterattacked with absolute arrogance.

A sweep of blue fire engulfed everything—Roy, Ryuu, the rookies, and even the dragon's own summoned minions. The cavern became an inferno. Daphne and Cassandra huddled in their Goliath cloaks; while not as hard as dragon scales, the cloaks were the only thing keeping them alive.
Roy and Ryuu struggled to their feet, their skin scorched. "Miss Ryuu, give me twenty seconds!" Roy shouted, tossing her two elixirs.
"Fine!" Ryuu didn't ask questions. She downed the potions and charged back into the fray, drawing the dragon's attention despite her battered body.
"Over here!" Daphne screamed, jumping out from her cloak to act as bait. The dragon, insulted by a Level 1 "ant," spat a barrage of shattered rock shards at her. Cassandra, her voice now hoarse and cracking, kept the healing magic coming like rain.
Under their cover, Roy frantically opened his system. He pulled out the Equipment Fusion Device from the silver chest. He had been debating which items to merge, and now the answer was clear. He took the [Giant Killer] sword and the [Elven Holy Sword] and threw them both into the fusion forge.
Vroom! Vroom! The forge shook violently. Roy prayed.

Roy felt a surge of triumph. The "Giant Killer" effect now applied to the Holy Sword's "Incinerate" fire as well. Even better, the fusion had stripped away the negative side effect of the Giant Killer sword (which previously reduced damage to small targets).
Roy unsheathed the newly reforged blade. It looked the same, but it hummed with a sharp, cold intent. "Now, it's your turn," he whispered.

Roy's Agility hit SSS as he blurred into a gale. "Miss Ryuu, cast your magic now!"
Ryuu, who was tangling with the dragon's heads, didn't hesitate. "Song of the distant forest... infinite stars..."
As she chanted, she kept moving, distracting the dragon so it wouldn't notice Roy's approach. Within two seconds, Roy crossed the cavern and swung the Holy Sword with everything he had.
The blade sliced through the "diamond-hard" dragon scales as if they were wet parchment. The blow carved deep into the neck of the right head, nearly severing it. Amphisbaena shrieked, its head thrashing wildly and slamming Roy into the wall with enough force to embed him in the stone. Roy coughed up a spray of blood as his internal organs rattled.
"Luminous Wind!" Ryuu's voice rang out. Dozens of emerald orbs surged into the massive wound Roy had opened.
BOOM!!
The explosion tore the right head clean off. Roy pried himself out of the wall, his eyes glowing crimson as he poured his remaining mental energy into the sword.
"INCINERATE!"
The crimson flame dragon let out a roar, lunging at the remaining head. Without its red mist to shield it or its blue fire to counter, the dragon was defenseless. It was engulfed by the flames. After seven minutes of agonizing screams, Amphisbaena dissolved into ash.
A two-meter-wide magic stone dropped to the floor. The cave was filled with sparkling light, like a fallen starry sky.
