Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: First Entry into the Dungeon

"A War Game!!"

Compared to the shocked and speechless adventurers and Guild staff, the Gods, who frequently teased the pretty girls in the hall, let out excited roars.

For the Gods who had descended to Earth for entertainment, this was one of their most thrilling pastimes: two Famiilias engaging in mutual combat according to the rules they set.

Hearing these words, the many Gods felt like they were reaching a climax, their faces flushed red.

"Wait, esteemed Gods, please don't be so fanatical,"

Remer pleaded, watching the numerous Gods act as if they were about to declare the matter sealed.

Remer was close to tears. Had he forgotten to check his fortune today? To have this mess land on him! The other staff members looked at him with sympathy.

Remer turned to Ryu.

"Miss Ryuu Lion, an Adventurer Quest can only be posted for monsters, materials, rescue, and similar matters. It cannot be a bounty on other adventurers."

In fact, the Guild did occasionally place bounties on heinous villains who endangered public order.

However, the Adventurer Quest system and the Guild Bounty system were two different things, and the difference was significant. The latter required the Guild to pay, and the Guild, lacking military strength, was unwilling to provoke too many villains unless they harmed the Guild's interests.

Otherwise, they would only offer a symbolic bounty—an amount so low that even a dog would shake its head at it.

Ryu's eighty million Valis was not a huge amount, but it was not insignificant, depending on who you compared it to.

Each weapon held by the three top members of the Loki Familia was worth over a hundred million. But to other adventurers, eighty million was undoubtedly a massive sum. Roy had once helped a shop owner scam people, and a simple 'Village Good Sword' worth five hundred thousand Valis could fool a whole bunch of Level 1 rookies.

Suddenly raising the bounty on the Rudra Familia to eighty million Valis would tempt even Level 5 adventurers.

Orario was likely about to run red with blood.

Facing Remer, who continued to plead with her, Ryu remained unmoved. All she cared about was the death of the Rudra Familia, whether through an Adventurer Quest or a bounty.

"Gale!"

Just as Remer was in a difficult position, a bloated and obese male Elf hurried down from the second floor.

The Elves in the hall looked away in disgust, and Ryu also suppressed a feeling of nausea.

This was the Guild Master, Royman Mirdal!

As an Elf, after gaining the highest power in the Guild, he lived a life of extravagance and profligacy, discriminated against Half-Elves, and his gluttony caused his body to become obese. He was reviled by countless people as the

"Guild's Pig,"

a disgrace to the Elves.

"We can add this money to the bounty on the Rudra Familia, but this is a special exception, and it will not set a precedent!"

Royman declared solemnly, attempting to project his authority. However, combined with his exaggeratedly fat, pig-like body, the effect was merely comical.

According to the rules, they were not supposed to do this. The Guild cared more about the impact; if anyone could add money to the bounty quests, it would turn into an assassination list.

But since the Great God had spoken, all rules had to be put aside.

Royman looked at Ryu with surprise and confusion. How exactly did she manage to convince the Great God Ouranos?

Having received a satisfactory answer, Ryu left the eighty million Valis bank draft and turned to leave.

Roy, hiding in the crowd, also quietly withdrew.

But everyone knew that this upheaval was just beginning. The Rudra Familia, using unknown means, had caused the destruction of the Astrea Familia.

However, a scrawny camel is still bigger than a horse. What would be the final result of the Astrea Familia's counterattack?

Ryu and Roy met in a secluded alley. She asked,

"What do we do next?"

"Wait!"

Roy answered. Actually, his plan wasn't complicated; Ryu was simply underestimating the prestige of her own Familia.

The Astrea Familia frequently opposed the strong and assisted the weak, maintaining order in Orario alongside the Ganesha Familia, and they had been instrumental during the

"Great Conflict"

two years ago.

Even five years later in the original timeline, during the great battle with the Freya Familia, the moment Ryu appeared, the residents and adventurers of Orario were deeply moved.

By utilizing the Familia's accumulated reputation after their annihilation, they created a tragic persona, garnering sympathy from everyone.

Adding eighty million Valis to that—the combination of fury and profit—was enough to incite Orario's adventurers to besiege the Rudra Familia. The enemy would either be hunted to death or agree to the War Game, allowing Roy and Ryu to deal with them in one fell swoop.

"Then I'll be going,"

Roy waved his hand and left. The plan needed time to ferment, and there was nothing they could do for the moment.

"Where are you going?"

Ryu glared at him. If this bastard ran off, would she have to face the Rudra Familia alone?

Roy glanced back and smiled, "Don't think so little of me. I'm just making a trip to the Dungeon!"

"???"

Gazing at Roy's retreating, confident back, Ryu realized she couldn't keep up with his thought process. She, on the other hand, needed to return to the Starry Courtyard to report to her Goddess.

If Roy could see the Elven girl's expression right now, he would surely think of the expression old person, phone, subway (referring to being confused by modern trends).

The Guild Headquarters was not far from Babel Tower, and a spacious plaza came into Roy's view.

Many people had seen him and Ryu visit the Guild Headquarters. The Rudra Familia wouldn't receive the news that quickly, so he still had some time to fool around in the Dungeon and vent the desires accumulated over the past dozen years.

Theoretically, only adventurers registered with the Guild could enter the Dungeon. However, generally speaking, no fool would deliberately run into the Dungeon just to die.

The members of the Ganesha Familia responsible for guarding Babel Tower and the Dungeon entrance were too lazy to check everyone individually.

Roy strode forward with his head held high, looking like a naive calf unafraid of a tiger—exactly like a new adventurer who had just received the God's Grace and was brimming with overconfidence.

The veterans nearby grinned, already starting a mental betting pool on how many days this foolish kid would survive.

Fortunately, the Village Good Sword Roy received from the System came with a scabbard. Otherwise, if a novice carried a fine sword worth hundreds of thousands of Valis, it would inevitably tempt someone to steal it.

The Ganesha Familia member frowned, intending to warn the boy, but it finally turned into a sigh. They had seen this too many times and had become numb to it.

The moment he entered the Dungeon, the youthful expression on Roy's face vanished without a trace.

Although he had been in Orario for more than half a month, this was his first time entering the Dungeon.

Things were different now. With the System's Grace, and armed with the Village Good Sword + Magic Sword + Magic Boots, Roy absolutely had to try them out in the Dungeon.

The first floor of the Dungeon was a passage formed by stone walls. The light blue walls and ceiling filled the entire field of vision. This natural, endless maze, where the sky could not be seen, extended boundlessly in all directions.

The stone walls were made of an unknown substance similar to Magic Stones, emitting faint phosphorescent light that illuminated the surroundings like a lamp. There was no sun, yet it was as bright as day.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The wall in front of Roy suddenly cracked, and three or four Goblins jumped out. They had green skin, pointed ears, and brown pupils gleaming with ferocity, charging toward Roy.
