Chapter 15 - Chapter 15: The New Instance

After packing up their belongings overnight, Roy successfully moved into the Astrea Familia's main base—the Starry Courtyard. He needed to be cautious until the Rudra Familia situation was resolved. He didn't want to be stabbed in his sleep or wake up surrounded by dozens of people.

Although the Astrea Familia was now disgraced, their former foundation remained. Roy clearly noticed an increased presence of City Guards (Urban Constabulary) surrounding the Starry Courtyard. These were members of the Ganesha Familia.

Despite having a somewhat eccentric Principal God, no one dared underestimate this Familia. In terms of sheer numbers, the Ganesha Familia was unmatched in all of Orario. Moreover, they possessed eleven Level 5 adventurers, giving them an S-Rank faction status, placing them on par with the city's largest factions: the Loki Familia and the Freya Familia.

Roy saw the Ganesha Familia's captain, Shakti Varma, known as the "Staff of the Elephant God" (Level 5), talking with Ryu at the entrance. The two had forged a deep friendship during the Great Conflict. Peak moments attract false supporters, but dusk proves sincere friendship. This quote was especially fitting for Ryu's current situation.

With the Ganesha Familia providing protection, the Rudra Familia wouldn't dare cause trouble at the Starry Courtyard even if they were tired of living. Roy slept soundly, recovering the stamina he had expended in the Dungeon.

Seven or eight hours later, Roy woke up peacefully and left his room. Given the Familia's annihilation, the place was empty, and he felt uncomfortable taking the rooms of the deceased members, so he chose an unoccupied guest room.

After washing up, Roy walked out to the spacious courtyard, where the golden-haired Elven girl was already waiting. The Elven girl said with displeasure, "You're too slow!"

Roy really wanted to give her a thumbs up: You're awesome, you're pure, you're Level 4, but what about me? Receiving the God's Grace meant an all-around improvement in physical quality—it was not simple strengthening, but evolution. High-level adventurers could be considered a different species entirely. They needed only three or four hours of sleep, which was equivalent to seven or eight hours for an ordinary person.

Roy said, "Why are you in such a hurry? Haste makes waste. You should know that better than I do." The Elven girl's face was taut, clearly eager to rush out immediately and kill every dog of the Evils under the heavens.

"Let's go!"

Roy clicked the panel that only he could see. While waiting for public opinion to ferment, Roy needed to accumulate his own strength. Dealing with the Rudra Familia was not just repaying a debt; it was also pressure he put on himself.

Roy chose the Titan Instance from yesterday.

Instance: Attack on TitanDifficulty: LV.2 ~ LV.5Description: The Colossal Titan and the Armored Titan have appeared; Wall Maria is about to be breached.Primary Objective: For every Titan killed, reward 30–100 Attribute Points based on the Titan's physical ability. Rewards are 2,000 Attribute Points, 1,500 Attribute Points, and 1,200 Attribute Points, respectively!

...

Paradis Island, Wall Maria.

With a flash of light, Roy and Ryu appeared in a secluded alley after spatial transfer.

Roy peeked out. The scene was peaceful and tranquil, with people bustling in the streets—a picture of paradise. The residents had no idea what was about to happen.

"Hide your pointy ears. I like them very much, but the people here won't be able to accept them." "I know!"

Ryu pulled her hood over her head. She chose to ignore the second half of the sentence. She was starting to get used to the young man's nonsense.

Subsequently, Roy strode out confidently. Both the Dungeon World and Paradis Island had a medieval style, and his clothes and appearance were not particularly conspicuous.

Roy found an operating restaurant. People are iron, food is steel. He decided to deal with breakfast first. Roy glanced at what others were eating, getting a rough idea, and called out, "Boss, six loaves of bread, two bowls of carrot soup, and some meat sauce!"

Seeing a strange face, the owner was not overly enthusiastic. He nodded and returned to the kitchen to prepare the order.

"Where are the monsters?"

Ryu sat down with Roy, surveying the surroundings. She frowned.

"Don't rush. They'll be here soon," Roy said grumpily. He felt the girl was even more anxious than he was. The System's information couldn't be wrong. The two wall-breakers were probably already outside the wall.

"Let me tell you the information about the monsters first. This time, the monsters are Titans..." Roy recounted the detailed information about the Pure Titans to the Elven girl.

Ryu listened with wide eyes and parted lips. "So, to summarize: these are special monsters that are huge in size but slow in movement, and their weakness is the nape of their neck?"

Roy nodded. He wasn't surprised by Ryu's reaction. The Pure Titans in this world could be as tall as 15 meters, with the shortest being 3 meters. To give her a benchmark: The Dungeon's 17th-Floor Boss, Goliath, was only 7 meters tall, which would only be considered medium size among Pure Titans.

Of course, in terms of actual strength, Goliath was a genuine Level 4. Even if it stood still and allowed dozens of Pure Titans to attack it, they might not be able to break its defense. Theoretically, Ryu had nothing to fear from the Pure Titans, but Roy wouldn't say things like, "Ordinary Titans pose no threat to you," which might influence her judgment.

"We need to be especially careful of the Irregular and Intelligent Titans..." Roy said, explaining their characteristics to Ryu. Irregular Titans possessed special abilities, such as superior jumping height or blinding speed. Because they looked no different from ordinary Titans, they were easy to misjudge.

Titans over ten meters tall, bizarre irregular types, and Intelligent Titans transformed from humans... Even as a Second-Tier Adventurer, Ryu had never encountered anything like this. It took her a while to recover, and she sighed with emotion, "Being with you always makes me feel like the incredible is possible. If Lady Riveria were here, she would be delighted."

Riveria Ljos Alf, one of the Loki Familia's Big Three, was a member of the Royal Elven family who had left the forest to see the unknown world, and her ambition was renowned globally. If she knew there were such strange, secret realms, she would probably stop at nothing to get the method for entering the instances from Roy.

Roy smiled.

"A Level 4 expert, I'm counting on you. Kill as many of those monsters as you can. You don't need to worry about the Colossal Titan or the Armored Titan."

The difficulty of taking down the Marley Trio was too high. Even though Roy was very tempted by the exceedingly high Attribute Point rewards on the panel, he didn't have many plans for them yet. The Colossal Titan was comparable to a nuclear bomb. Roy estimated the instance cap was rated at Level 5 largely because of it. The Armored Titan's combat power was around Level 4, and it wasn't something Ryu could handle alone either.

Before long, the young man working at the restaurant delivered their breakfast and placed it on the table. Roy picked up the bread, dipped it in the meat sauce, and rapidly alternated between biting the bread and drinking the soup. He wolfed it down, saying indistinctly,

"Don't be shy. I'm not a black-hearted boss who makes the horse run without feeding it grass."

The Elven girl across from him hesitated for a moment before picking up the bread and nibbling on it in small bites. Her demeanor exuded a hint of Elven elegance, something ingrained in her very being.
