He took a deep breath.
"Just one more dimension… just one more step to avenge Mom."
But before he could move forward, a shadow loomed in front of him.
A tall figure, cloaked in a coat that seemed to warp the light around it.
Mysterious Officer:
— Stay right there! Dimension-hopping has been illegal since last year!
Kael Astellian Chad… you're under arrest.
Kael (snorting):
— Seriously? Right now? Don't you see I'm kinda busy?
Kael clenched his teeth, thinking:
"Damn… if I get caught now, I'll never avenge Mom…"
He spun around and dashed off.
But reality trembled around him — and a powerful aura tore a path through the air.
A formidable presence appeared right in front of him.
President of Fever Town:
— And what is a boy like you doing hopping between dimensions?
Kael:
— None of your business!
The president smirked.
President:
— Easy, we're off to a rough start. Let's introduce ourselves properly.
My name is Fever. Pleasure to meet you.
Kael froze.
Kael:
— Fever…? Like… that Fever?!
Fever:
— Yes. That's exactly what I just said.
And then — the timeline twisted.
In the blink of an eye, Kael felt his body shrink, his voice soften, his hair grow.
He had become… a young woman.
Kael (now female):
— Oh, no! Not again! This timeline keeps changing everything!
She grabbed Fever by the collar.
Fever:
— Hey! Little girl, let go of me!
Kael:
— Blah, blah, blah… Fever, you have to help me!
Fever narrowed his eyes, studying the annoying girl.
He didn't want to help.
But… for some reason… why not?
Fever:
— You're bold, I'll give you that. Not sure if I like it.
And then, with a dimensional snap, they were thrown into yet another reality.

Kael looked around, laughing.
Kael:
— This is hilarious! HAHAHA! The president committing dimensional crimes… what a joke!
Fever:
— Shut up!
A third presence manifested.
A figure identical to Fever… but with completely empty eyes, like a living glitch.
Kael:
— WHA—?! TWO FEVERS?!
Fever 2:
— So you're the kid who invaded my dimension?
Kael stepped back, ready to fight.
But Fever 1 grabbed his arm.
Fever 1:
— Dude, what are you doing?! We don't even know what this guy is capable of!
But it was too late.
Fever 2 placed a hand on Fever 1.
And absorbed him.
In a single motion.
Kael went pale.
At the same moment, his body reverted.
A man once again.
Kael:
— Oh, great! Not this again!
He raised his hand, summoning the power that ran through his veins.
A blue light expanded.
Kael:
— ZERO REVERSE!!!
Reality folded, twisted, and exploded — and a new universe was born from nothing.
Fever 1 tumbled out of the vortex, coughing, alive.
Fever 1:
— W-what power is that?!
Kael rubbed his nose with a smug smile.
Kael:
— Don't know! But that Fever Copy's gonna be out of the picture for a while! Hahaha!
Fever sighed.
Fever 1:
— Hmph… I guess I owe you one.
Fever turned and ran.
Kael, of course, chased after him.
