Chapter 125 - Chapter 113: The Payday, The Time Paradox, and The Future King

[ Location: Hogwarts - The Great Hall ][ Date: November 15th, 1993 - Monday Morning ]

Breakfast was interrupted by six totally exhausted Ministry owls.

They flew through the high windows, struggling to carry a massive, heavy leather sack.

They dropped it directly onto my plate, smashing my eggs and sending pumpkin juice flying everywhere.

The sack landed with an incredibly satisfying CLINK.

Ron wiped juice off his nose, his jaw dropping.

"What in the bloody hell is that?"

I casually untied the string.

A blinding, golden light spilled out of the bag, lighting up the Gryffindor table.

"That, Ron," I smirked, running my fingers through the pile of glittering gold coins, "is ten thousand Galleons. The government's reward for handing them Peter Pettigrew on a silver platter."

Harry choked on his toast. "They actually paid you?! Dumbledore let you keep it?!"

"I did the Ministry's job for them, Harry," I said, picking up a napkin to wipe my hands. "I expect to be paid and don't worry, Sirius Black was officially pardoned an hour ago. The Daily Prophet is losing its mind."

But my smile faded when I looked down the table.

Hermione was shoveling oatmeal into her mouth like she was racing a clock.

She looked completely dead on her feet and dark bags hung under her eyes, and her hair was a frizzy mess.

"I have Arithmancy, Muggle Studies, and Divination right now," Hermione muttered frantically, grabbing her massive book bag. "I'm going to be late!"

She sprinted out of the Great Hall without looking back.

I watched her go, my eyes narrowing.

'That makes zero sense,' I calculated in my head. 'Those classes are on three different floors at the exact same time and I just saw her walk into Ancient Runes five minutes ago. What the heck is going on?'

I stood up, tossing the heavy bag of gold directly into my System Inventory secretly. "Watch my plate, Shika. I will be right back"

[ Location: Third Floor Corridor ][ Time: 9:05 AM ]

I found her hiding behind a heavy tapestry in an empty hallway.

She was pulling a long gold chain out from under her shirt.

A tiny, glittering hourglass was attached to it.

"Going somewhere, Granger?" I asked, stepping out of the shadows.

Hermione jumped a foot in the air, dropping the hourglass against her chest. "Vivan! You... you scared me! I'm just... taking a shortcut to class!"

"A shortcut through time?" I asked, leaning against the stone wall. "Come on, Hermione. I'm built different and I can feel the time magic radiating off that necklace from fifty yards away."

She bit her lip, looking incredibly guilty. "Professor McGonagall made me swear not to tell anyone! It's a Time-Turner. The Ministry gave it to me so I could take extra classes."

I stared at her, totally deadpan.

"Let me get this straight," I said slowly. "The government has a literal time machine that can alter history... and they gave it to a fourteen-year-old girl so she wouldn't miss math class?"

Hermione crossed her arms, looking defensive. "Arithmancy is very important!"

"Wizards are the stupidest creatures in the multiverse," I sighed, rubbing the bridge of my nose. "Let me see it."

"No! It's highly regulated!"

"Hermione, I literally handed a dead man to the Minister of Magic yesterday. Let me see the shiny clock."

She hesitated, then sighed and held out the hourglass.

I reached out and tapped the glass with my finger.

CRACK.

The absolute second my skin touched it, the glass shattered.

[ SYSTEM CRITICAL ERROR! ][ Paradox Detected. ]

[ Target: Vivan Frostwell. Soul Status: 70% Cosmic. ]

The Time-Turner began to shake violently in her hand.

It glowed a blinding, terrifying white.

"Vivan! What did you do?!" Hermione screamed, dropping it.

"I didn't do anything!" I yelled over the sudden, deafening sound of tearing metal.

'Magic is rejecting my soul!'

The hourglass exploded.

The world went completely, perfectly white.

[ Location: The Space Between Seconds ][ Time: N/A ]

There was no sound, floor and ceiling.

I was floating in an endless, blank white void.

"Well," a voice echoed right behind me. "You always were clumsy."

I spun around, instantly summoning my Void Blade.

Sitting in a floating armchair made of pure starlight and dark matter, was a man.

He looked exactly like me.

But older, maybe in his mid-twenties.

He was wearing a sharp, flawless black suit and his eyes didn't have whites or pupils; they were pools of swirling, violet galaxies.

He radiated an aura so incredibly heavy that my own massive power felt like a tiny candle next to a dying sun.

"Who the hell are you?" I demanded, keeping a tight grip on my sword.

The man smirked.

It was my exact, arrogant smirk.

"I'm you," the older Vivan said, resting his chin on his fist. "About ten thousand years from now, I usually go by the Aether Emperor or The crown without the face but you can just call me Vivan."

I stared at him, lowering my sword slightly. "Time travel?"

"Dimension error," Future Vivan corrected, rolling his starry eyes. "You touched a cheap time-travel toy while carrying a huge cosmic energy and you jammed the gears of the universe and glitched back into the waiting room, have a seat."

A white chair popped up behind me but I didn't sit.

"If you're me," I said, my brain racing to process this. "Why do you look like that? And what was that mystery Merlin told me about?"

"Because I am a god, idiot," Future Vivan said bluntly. "And Merlin is just a glorified zookeeper. Listen to me closely, the multiverse is dying and the walls are rotting. The Crimson King and the other outer gods are just maggots feeding on the rot."

He stood up.

Every step he took completely warped the gravity in the void.

"You and I aren't human and we never were but we are a broken piece of the entity that built this omniverse , this multiverse, we are a living battery holding reality together and each multiverse have one of us and whoever defeat and kill all of us and collect all the piece's inside us.....Will become The Consciousness..."

"Well forget about this for now become stronger first and make your soul 100% cosmic"

My jaw dropped. "So I'm a universe core? Did we build the Chat Group System?"

Future Vivan laughed.

It was a cold, tired laugh.

"No, we didn't build it. The System isn't a game, kid. It's the universe's immune response and it grabs the absolute worst anomalies and..."

He stopped right in front of me.

He looked deeply tired.

"You are at 70% Cosmic right now," Future Vivan warned, dropping the arrogant attitude. "You absorbed the Upside Down and the Deadlights and you are also hoarding Dementors."

"I'm building an army," I defended myself.

"You're building a bomb!" Future Vivan snapped. "If you push your soul to 100% using only darkness, death, and fear, you won't become a god and you'll mutate into an ugly, edgy space demon and I really don't want to spend eternity looking like a Halloween decoration."

I swallowed hard. "So how do I fix it?"

"Find Light," Future Vivan said simply. "Absorb pure energy and stop eating monsters. Balance your diet before the darkness eats your personality."

He raised a glowing finger and tapped me right on the forehead.

[ SYSTEM CRITICAL UPDATE! ][ New Passive Skill Unlocked: Temporal Immunity. ]

[ Effect: You can no longer be frozen, slowed, or erased by time-manipulation magic and you are an absolute constant in the timeline. ]

"A parting gift," Future Vivan smirked, sitting back down in his starlight chair. "Because you're going to need it when Aizen finally makes his move in this reality."

"Wait!" I yelled as the white void began to shatter like glass around us. "What is Aizen planning?!"

"Just try not to die, kid!" Future Vivan waved casually as he faded away. "It would really ruin my week! and pl*^$..."

[ Location: Third Floor Corridor - Reality ][ Time: 9:05 AM (Time Resumed) ]

CRASH.

The white light vanished.

I stumbled forward, hitting the stone wall of the corridor.

Hermione was sitting on the floor, looking at the shattered, smoking pieces of the Time-Turner in her hands.

She was hyperventilating, tears streaming down her face.

"I broke it!" Hermione cried, staring at the golden sand on the floor. "The Ministry is going to expel me! We're stuck in a time loop!"

I stood up, shaking my head to clear the ringing in my ears.

My mind was completely blown.

So I wasn't just a transmigrator.

I was an Architect of omniverse ( Piece of that Architect) and my future self was a terrifying, overpowered god.

'That was the coolest thing that has ever happened to me,' I thought, a massive, arrogant grin spreading across my face.

I looked down at a panicking Hermione.

"Get up, Hermione" I said.

I just pointed my hand at the shattered glass on the floor.

I made absolutely sure to suppress my cosmic aura, pulling it deep into my chest so my raw energy wouldn't shatter the chronal magic again.

'Telekinesis: Matter Reconstruction.'

A sterile, invisible wave of pressure washed over the pieces.

The glass flew back together perfectly and the gold chain snapped back into place.

The glowing sand reversed gravity and poured right back into the bulb.

The Time-Turner looked brand new.

Hermione gasped, snatching it up from the floor. "You... you fixed it! How? It's impossible to fix time artifacts without Ministry tools!"

"I'm full of impossible things today," I winked, adjusting my collar and stepping past her. "Now go to your three math classes and Hermione?"

She paused, looking up at me with wide, shocked eyes.

"Next time you want to break the laws of physics," I smirked, my eyes flashing violet for a brief second. "Ask a professional."

I turned and walked away down the corridor, feeling absolutely untouchable.
