Chapter 2 - first traning first monster

Pugo woke up early in the morning, filled with excitement, almost like an energetic rabbit. Without wasting a second, he rushed out to find Stardust.

He greeted him enthusiastically and asked how he was doing. Stardust, still half asleep, yawned and replied that he had just woken up, wondering what Pugo was doing so early.

Pugo could barely contain his excitement. He explained that he had amazing news. Stardust, surprised by his unusual level of happiness, admitted that he had never seen him like this before and asked what had happened.

Pugo told him that he had met an incredible new friend from the Flame Universe, someone really cool, and that this person was going to take both of them to training that very day.

At first, Stardust was excited about the idea of training, but the moment he heard "Flame Universe," his reaction changed completely. He questioned Pugo, saying that people from the Flame Universe were known for being aggressive and difficult. He immediately refused to come.

Pugo insisted, trying to convince him that Leonardos was actually a good person and asked him to trust him. After some hesitation and a bit of frustration, Stardust finally agreed, saying he would only come because it was Pugo asking.

Shortly after, Pugo contacted Leonardos, and the two friends waited together. Stardust grew impatient, wondering where he was, while Pugo reassured him that he should have arrived already.

Suddenly, Leonardos made a dramatic entrance, surprising both of them.

Pugo greeted him happily, and Stardust stared at him in admiration, thinking how cool he looked. Leonardos acknowledged Pugo, calling him the "Time Child" and expressing that he was glad to see him.

Without thinking, Pugo casually called him "Leo."

In an instant, Leonardos' expression changed. He angrily knocked Pugo to the ground, reminding him harshly that he had already warned him not to use that nickname. Pugo apologized, holding himself in pain.

Leonardos then turned his attention to Stardust. After briefly examining him, he immediately recognized that he was from the Star Universe. When Stardust asked how he knew, Leonardos jokingly claimed that he was a monster who hunted users of star techniques and that he would cut him down as well.

Stardust froze in fear, genuinely believing him for a moment. Leonardos continued the act, telling him that if he were him, he would run. Panicking, Stardust turned to Pugo, asking him to do something.

Leonardos suddenly burst into laughter, revealing that it was all a joke and teasing that Pugo had said Stardust was a coward. Pugo laughed along, but Stardust got angry, pointing out that a joke that no one else finds funny isn't actually funny.

Leonardos brushed it off and decided it was time to move on. He told them they would begin training immediately.

Pugo, full of excitement, said he couldn't wait, while Stardust muttered that it might have been fun if it weren't for people like Leonardos.

Without further explanation, Leonardos suddenly challenged them. If they wanted to become stronger, they had to catch him. With that, he dashed off at incredible speed.

Stardust immediately realized how fast he was and doubted they could ever catch him. As Pugo looked around, he noticed flying skateboards at a nearby vendor. He quickly asked if they could borrow them, and the vendor agreed, warning them to be careful.

Using the skateboards, Pugo and Stardust chased after Leonardos. Even though they were behind, they managed to keep him in sight.

Stardust was amazed by his speed, and Pugo explained that Leonardos had lived in the Speed Universe since he was six years old. That explained everything.

Stardust then wondered why Leonardos got so angry when called "Leo." Pugo casually explained that "Leonardos" sounded strong and powerful, while "Leo" sounded too casual, which made him lose his temper.

Understanding this, Stardust nodded. Pugo then told him to stop talking and focus on speeding up. As they continued the chase, Stardust admitted that despite everything, it was actually fun.

After a long chase, the three of them finally arrived at the training center.

Pugo and Stardust looked around in shock, amazed by the scale and atmosphere of the place. As they entered, they were greeted by a girl named Mariana.

She welcomed them and asked how she could help. Pugo explained that they wanted to receive training. Mariana agreed but asked if they had any equipment.

When they admitted they didn't, Stardust asked if that meant they couldn't train. Mariana explained that it was too dangerous to train without proper equipment. Only those wearing protective armor and a cloak were allowed to enter.

Leonardos stepped in and asked if they could find armor for the others. Mariana told them there should be some in the storage room and suggested they ask her robot down the hall.

The trio went to the storage room and searched for quite some time. Eventually, Stardust accidentally knocked over several boxes. Inside, they found protective armor—black, yellow, and white—as well as two laser swords, one yellow and one white.

Excited, they equipped themselves. Stardust wore the yellow armor, Pugo the white, while Leonardos already had his own gear.

They returned to Mariana, who began their first lesson: ability training. She wanted to see how well they could handle their swords.

After pressing a red button, multiple robots appeared and immediately attacked them.

Leonardos, who had prior experience, quickly adapted and began cutting down robots efficiently. Pugo struggled at first but gradually understood their patterns and started defeating them as well. Stardust, on the other hand, spent most of the time running away in panic. However, when one robot got too close, he instinctively swung his sword and accidentally cut it in half. Shocked but encouraged, he kept attacking in a messy but surprisingly effective way.

After a long and exhausting session, the training finally ended. Mariana displayed the results: Stardust had defeated 30 robots, Pugo 50, and Leonardos 70. For beginners, she considered it an excellent performance.

Pugo immediately asked about the next training. Mariana replied that it would be the following day.

Confused, Pugo questioned why they weren't learning techniques yet. Mariana explained calmly that without mastering the sword, they couldn't use any techniques. Techniques originated from the sword itself, and they needed to improve step by step.

Leonardos agreed with her, saying they couldn't expect to learn everything at once. Stardust, completely exhausted, suggested they take a break.

Later, as they walked through the forest, they began talking.

Pugo praised Leonardos for his incredible performance with the sword. Leonardos thanked him and returned the compliment, saying Pugo had done well for a beginner. Stardust, feeling left out, complained that no one ever praised him.

Both Pugo and Leonardos laughed.

Suddenly, their laughter stopped.

A masked figure appeared in front of them, blocking their path.

Stardust froze in fear, while Pugo wondered who the figure was and why he was standing there. Leonardos stepped forward and demanded to know his identity.

The figure slowly removed his mask and cloak, revealing a grotesque, crocodile-like creature.

He introduced himself as Crodus, one of Ludos' monsters.

Pugo felt a chill run through his body. So this was what monsters looked like.

Stardust nervously asked what he wanted. Crodus casually replied that he simply wanted them to fight him to the death, generously allowing all three of them to attack at once.

Leonardos accepted without hesitation.

Stardust panicked, reminding him that this was a monster from the dark ruler and that they could be killed instantly. Leonardos replied that if he was scared, he could leave. He declared that he would become a samurai and would not fear anyone who stood in his way.

Inspired by his courage, Pugo decided to fight as well, even if he could only provide support.

Seeing their determination, Stardust reluctantly agreed, hoping they wouldn't die.

Crodus mocked them and prepared to fight.

The battle began.

Crodus attacked with his claws, forcing them back. Leonardos managed to block his attacks, while Stardust found an opening and cut off Crodus' ear. However, to their shock, the ear regenerated instantly.

Crodus casually explained that monsters could heal and hinted that destroying his heart or using massive destructive energy was the only way to kill him.

Leonardos instructed the others to focus on his heart.

The battle intensified. Leonardos was injured, Pugo managed to land a hit on Crodus' leg, but then Crodus unleashed a powerful explosive attack after charging for five seconds.

Pugo and Stardust were thrown away.

As the fight continued, they slowly began to understand Crodus' pattern. Meanwhile, Stardust, filled with fear, suddenly saw the spirit of his father encouraging him not to give up and to fight for his friends.

Realizing that courage itself was his strength, Stardust regained his will to fight.

At the same time, Pugo, struggling to stand, saw the spirit of his grandfather Walker. Walker guided him, telling him to combine his emotions—hatred and joy—and channel them into his sword.

Understanding this, Pugo focused deeply.

The battle reached its peak. Leonardos and Stardust fought desperately, while Crodus prepared a final attack.

At that moment, Pugo appeared.

With a calm voice, he activated a time technique—time freeze.

Energy surged through his sword and struck Crodus, stopping him just before his explosion.

Shocked, Leonardos and Stardust joined him. Together, the three combined their strength and struck directly at Crodus' heart.

This time, it worked.

Crodus collapsed, his body finally destroyed.

As he lay dying, he muttered that if it weren't for Pugo's ability, they would have died. But it didn't matter—if he couldn't kill them, someone else would… or even Ludos himself.

Then he died.

Exhausted, all three fell to the ground.

Pugo slowly opened his eyes and saw his grandfather once more. Walker told him he had done well and that he was proud of him.

Tears filled Pugo's eyes as he whispered his thanks.

And just like that… they had defeated their first monster.
