Travis just grunted at the side, he sat back and looked at Dexter with disdain, waiting for him to make a fool of himself before he swoops in to saves him.
He did not believe that he had what it took to make a significant technological break through.
Dexter set up his presentation and looked at Angela.
"Well miss Angela, what I propose is the creation of a Nanobot Robotic Suit or NRS for short."
As he finished that statement, Travis couldn't help but laugh.
After he managed to calm himself down he looked at Dexter.
"You've got some imagination I will give you that, nano tech hasn't even been creates yet and you want to build it." Travis said and continued laughing, hands on knees kind of laughing.
Angela didn't bother to stop him and just gestured for Dexter to continue.
"What I propose is simple, a suit run on nano tech, that increases the speed, strength and reflexes of the user, it would be run on a compacted hydrogen battery which would be integrated into the back of the user."
Dexter went on to explain the details of the project as well as the materials used and the technology involved.
At the end Travis stopped laughing and started to listen, everyone was focused and surprised by the level of ingenuity Dexter had.
After he finished everyone was silent, still in disbelief of what they just heard, this was ground breaking tech and he was just telling them casually.
"Can you actually create what you have just told us?" Angela asked still finding it hard to believe.
"I can but I would need adequate funding and materials." He stopped and faced his department colleagues, "I would also need you guys help."
"Hmm... Then it is settled, I would be funding your project, but I hope to see progress." Angela said.
"Don't worry ma, you would not be disappointed." Dexter said and left with the rest.
Angela's assistant had just walked into the office after Dexter and the others had left, when she was given an order by Angela,
"Watch them closely and report their progress to me."

Angela really worked fast and in a few minutes all the resources had arrived at his workplace.
He was about to start sorting through the materials when the interface popped up.

Dexter was surprised to see that his minor task was rewardable, usually he did his minor tasks and received nothing but now was different.
"Hey Ana, how much reward am I going to get if I complete the minor task?" Dexter asked.
"I don't know you have to complete it and find out." Dexter really hoped they gave him a lot of rewards, his leveling up had been quite slow.
Dexter looked at the blueprints and called everyone one to give them their jobs in the project.
Sophia was in charge of creating the body design, Travis in charge of doing the wiring, Toby ( the quiet guy ) was in charge of helping Dexter with the programming.
They all got to work, of course most of the work was done by Dexter.
"I need a robotic helper." Dexter mumbled when he saw the amount of work he had to do.

THREE WEEKS LATER
They had been working hard for three weeks non stop to complete the project.
Dexter decided to give the others a rest while he finished up, it was decided that Dexter would be the one to put on the suit on the day of the competition, as he was the most suited to wear it and it was his creation.
The last part was to integrate the nano tech to his brain neurons so he could summon them on demand.
"Easy, Easy." Ana said as she directed him, she didn't want him to accidentally affect her chip.
After Five hours of torturous precision, he was able to fully integrate himself with the nano suit.
All he had to do was think of the nano suit on his body and it would just appeared.
He gave it a try and the suit immediately covered his body, the dark blue color gave it a nice futuristic vibe, it had jet booster at the back to enable flight and hyper springs in the legs to quicken speed and it was loaded with rail guns, knifes, etc.
It practically just creates what ever weapon you imagine.
While Dexter was admiring his work, a young man walked in, Dexter immediately activated camouflage mode, he used a camera in the suit to video what he was doing.
"Were is there work?" The man said.
Dexter recognized him, he was the young man from earlier that was taunting them and giving them a hard time earlier, h was even the reason they are in the Research Competition in the first place.
Dexter was rather curious to see what he was doing here and what he was searching for.
"Have they not created anything?" The guy asked himself.
Now Dexter knew what he wanted, he wanted to sabotage their invention, who knew if he hadn't sabotaged past inventions before.
"That is why none of department A-5 inventions works, he sabotages them."
After he searched for a while and didn't see anything he left.
Dexter left camouflage mode and saved the video.
"I got you now."
