I was lying on my bed, my head covered with a blanket. After the morning drama, I didn't leave the room and slept through the whole day. Making me unable to sleep now. Whenever I thought about the morning incident, I didn't even know what to do about him.

A man in a black robe was pinned down on the ground by my brother. What the hell is happening? Could it be that someone had sneaked into this palace to kill me? But why…
My thoughts were running high. But a loud voice called out to me, "Ji Lan, leave from here."
I was still processing this situation, but after hearing his words, I quickly reacted. As I was stepping away, a lot more cries rang out from the outside.
I looked at my brother, who was holding the dagger snatched from the black-robed guy. The blood spilled on the floor. I covered my mouth in horror. Though I had been living in this world for several years, seeing someone being killed was still hard to digest.
When I looked at his eyes, they were glowing with blood red light, making me freak out in horror. His current look was too horrifying for me; the blood was covering his clothes, and a blood-covered dagger was shining in the moonlight in his hand, making him a terrifying demon ready to unleash death.
"Stay here," He spoke to me before jumping out of the window. I quickly came to the window, trying to look for him, but his figure had vanished in the darkness.
I could hear a lot more screaming everywhere. I sat down with my back against the wall, my hands clutching tightly.
I sat there for almost an hour, only hearing screams, cries for help, and the sound of weapons clashing. While I was just hiding there and doing nothing.
Finally, when all sounds halted, I gathered some courage and went out of my room looking for him.
When I walked out of the palace, there were dead bodies of black robes people, and many royal guards too. I couldn't help but acknowledge the horror of this world, but I still tried to find him amidst this chaos.
I was wondering, in this chaotic place, no one had time to care about me. All were busy searching for the enemy or collecting bodies.
"Who are you looking for? Didn't I say to stay in your room?" Suddenly, a voice entered my ears. When I turned to the direction of the voice, I met with familiar red eyes, which almost made me pass out in fear a few hours ago, but now they were lively again. I moved forward and hugged him tightly.
"Hehe…" As I was hugging, tears filling my eyes, he laughed like a fool.
"What are you laughing at?" I said, while barely controlling my tears.
"Aa…" Suddenly, his whole body weight crashed down on me. As we both fell down, I lay on the ground and his unconscious body above me.
After he collapsed over me, I used all my strength to stand up before calling a few guards and taking him to the doctor.
The royal doctor quickly checked him and gave him some medicinal soup. While the maids cleared his wound with warm water, wrapping a clean cloth around his shoulder.
A poisonous dagger had penetrated his right shoulder, which is why he suddenly fell unconscious. Luckily, the royal doctor had the antidote.
After wrapping up this black night, I was sitting in his room while he slept on his bed. It was still hard for me to imagine this guy could kill someone.
Maybe I never knew him at all. I sighed internally as I stared at his face while he was sleeping peacefully. It felt like it was just a few years ago when we were kids. I quickly stood and went to my room before coming back with my makeup kit. I gave him a long look, ready to get my revenge. I sat beside him and opened the makeup box, making him a good little brother again.
