Ansel adjusted his cufflinks with calm precision, slipping his watch on like nothing in the world was out of place.
"Don't leave the house.." he said casually, grabbing his coat. "And don't enter the room with the black door."
Lance paused mid-step. "The black door?"
Ansel glanced back at him, lips curving into a faint, knowing smile. "Just do as you're told."
"What's inside?" Lance pressed, curiosity already buzzing.
"If you enter without my permission," Ansel added lightly, "I'll know."
That should've scared him.
But it didn't.
Ansel moved toward the door, then stopped. "The room after mine is yours."
And then he was gone, leaving Lance alone in this big, quiet house.
Lance lasted all of ten minutes. Before finding his way to the room.
He stared at the black door like it was staring back. What secrets could Ansel be hiding here that he didn't want him to know?
"Just a peek…" he muttered.
The door opened smoothly, and Lance met a shocking sight.
