Chapter 17 - Chapter-15 Nightmare 2

"Hahaha!" Chunk laughed intensely.

"You got me good, human."

"What are you talking about? Have you lost your mind after seeing your brother get beaten?"

"You can't use your telekinesis. Hand-to-hand combat? I thought you were a fighter like us, but you are just a fraud, hiding your weakness. What did you think? I wouldn't notice?

Unlike you, we are fighters. We will keep our word.'

Chuk wiped the blood from his nose slowly.

He looked at it… then smiled.

"Blood…"

"So you can break us after all… interesting."

Chuk rolled his neck. Bones cracked like thunder.

"You think this is pain?"

He slammed his four fists together.

The ground beneath them cracked.

Chunk finally stepped forward.

Heavy.

Calm.

Terrifying.

"You said no ghost form."

Chunk's red eyes glowed brighter.

"But you never said…"

The air around them distorted.

"...we can't evolve."

Their white and black patterns began glowing.

Veins bulged across their four arms.

Muscles swelled.

The ground trembled under their pressure.

Chuk grinned.

"Phase Two."

Suddenly—

Chuk vanished.

Not ghost.

Not teleport.

Just pure speed.

Tanvir barely turned his head—

BOOOOM

A four-fisted combination slammed into his ribs from four angles at once.

Before Tanvir could stabilize—

Chunk appeared behind him.

Not fast.

But precise.

A palm strike landed directly between Tanvir's shoulder blades.

Shockwave exploded outward.

The battlefield cratered.

Dust filled the air.

Chunk spoke calmly:

"You rely too much on reading wind."

Chuk's voice echoed from above.

"Let's see if you can read pressure."

The air compressed.

Both Betarins attacked simultaneously from opposite directions.

One high.

One low.

Four arms each.

Eight strikes converging.

"Show us, human…"

"…can your regeneration keep up?"

As their hit lands. Tanvir coughed up blood, then clenched his teeth and launched a punch at Chuk.

Chuk didn't dodge.

He caught the punch.

All four hands snapped around Tanvir's arm at once.

The impact still pushed Chuk half a step back — the ground cracked beneath his heel.

Chuk's red eyes narrowed.

"…That hurt."

Chunk spoke calmly from the side.

"He put everything in that strike."

Chuk grinned wider.

"Good."

Suddenly—

CRACK.

Two of Chuk's hands twisted Tanvir's wrist.

The other two hammered down toward his elbow joint.

"Let's see how fast it regenerates when we break it properly."

But before the blow could fully land—

Chunk moved.

Not to attack.

To observe.

He circled.

Analyzing.

"His breathing changed. He's adjusting."

Chuk leaned close to Tanvir's face.

"You're adapting mid-fight."

His voice dropped lower.

"That makes this dangerous."

Without warning—

Chuk released Tanvir's arm and drove a knee toward his abdomen — the same place they struck before.

At the same time—

Chunk's shadow stretched unnaturally behind Tanvir.

Not ghost form.

Not phasing.

Just positioning.

Perfect angle.

Chunk's fist pulled back silently.

If Chuk's knee lands, Tanvir folds forward—

—and Chunk's full-force straight punch will meet his face.

A calculated two-stage trap.

Chuk smirked.

"Let's see you read this, human."

Chuk's eyes widened—

CRACK.

Tanvir broke his own wrist to escape the lock.

Chunk muttered quietly,

"He chose damage over restriction…"

Before either Betarin could fully adjust—

WHAM!

Tanvir's spinning double kick landed clean.

One heel smashed into Chuk's jaw.

The other slammed into Chunk's collarbone.

The shockwave split the ground beneath them.

Both Betarins slid back several meters, boots grinding trenches into stone.

Dust rose.

Silence.

Chuk slowly straightened his neck.

A faint fracture line ran across his jaw.

He touched it.

It was dented.

Chunk rolled his shoulder once.

The impact had displaced the joint slightly.

He calmly forced it back into place with one hand.

POP.

Chunk's red eyes sharpened.

"He's no longer reacting."

Chuk grinned, blood dripping from his lip.

"He's choosing self-destruction for advantage."

Both of them lowered their stances simultaneously.

Perfect sync.

Chunk spoke:

"Then we raise output."

The glowing patterns across their bodies intensified.

Their breathing slowed.

Their presence changed.

Not faster.

Not stronger.

Sharper.

Chuk vanished again in pure speed—

—but this time he didn't strike.

He ran in circles around Tanvir.

Creating wind pressure.

Dust spiraled upward.

Vision blurred.

Chunk didn't move at all.

He simply lifted one arm—

and punched the air.

The compressed shockwave shot forward like a cannon blast.

At the same moment—

Chuk appeared inside Tanvir's guard from the blind spot created by dust.

Four arms coiled.

One aimed at the throat.

One at the liver.

One at the knee.

One at the broken wrist.

Not wild.

Not angry.

Surgical.

Chuk whispered:

"Endure this."

The strikes connected.

Throat.

Liver.

Knee.

Broken wrist.

The sound wasn't a crack.

It was a collapse.

Tanvir's body folded unnaturally before being blasted backward like a ragdoll. He skipped across the ground, tearing a trench through stone before crashing into a ruined wall.

Silence.

Dust fell slowly.

Chuk exhaled.

"…That should have shattered him."

Chunk walked forward calmly.

"Vitals destabilized. Regeneration will struggle."

"Ha ha ha ha. I knew this place was the best. You did great, veterans. I am satisfied… or not. I wanted to see him suffer a bit more."

"We are sorry, Supreme. We could not meet your expectation."

"It's okay. You did gre—"

[Ding]

Willpower is trembling. Willpower is refusing to lose.

[]

[Ding]

Willpower has condensed all the remaining power for the final blow.

[]

From the rubble—

A twitch.

Then another.

Bones snapped back into place with grotesque sounds.

Muscle fibers rewove.

Tanvir coughed.

Blood poured from his mouth—

But he stood.

Unstable.

Breathing heavy.

Yet standing.

Chuk's grin faded slightly.

"…He's still conscious."

Chunk's eyes narrowed.

"No."

He analyzed carefully.

"He's not just conscious."

Tanvir lifted his head.

Slowly.

His eyes weren't wild.

They were quiet.

Focused.

His breathing pattern changed again.

No anger.

No pride.

Just calculation.

Chuk clicked his tongue.

"He learns every exchange."

Chunk nodded once.

"Then we escalate efficiency."

They didn't rush this time.

No flashy speed.

No pressure storm.

They advanced together.

Measured.

Each step synchronized.

Chuk spoke:

"Regeneration costs energy."

Chunk finished:

"And endurance without defense bleeds stamina."

Both lowered their center of gravity.

"We will dismantle you."

Not overwhelm.

Not crush.

Break piece by piece.

Chuk lunged first—

A feint high.

Real attack low sweep.

Chunk followed half a heartbeat later—

Palm thrust aimed directly at Tanvir's heart.

No theatrics.

Just execution.
