"No!" Evelyn shook her head and refused, "I have to rush back..."
Caden Lockwood raised an eyebrow, his sharp gaze fixed on Evelyn, a cold, fierce aura beginning to swirl around her.
Evelyn sighed softly; she was indeed hungry, and tonight there was her favorite sweet and sour ribs. She decided not to insist, called Aunt May to explain she would be eating out, and immediately sat down to fill her stomach.
She had only made a single serving, which was seriously not enough to eat.
Evelyn looked at Caden Lockwood's bowl filled high with white rice and then at the small portion in her own bowl, feeling it was truly unfair.
"Uncle, can you really eat that much?" She tentatively asked, "It's such a waste if you can't finish it."
Why not share some with her? After all, he was the one who asked her to stay for dinner!
Caden Lockwood glanced at Evelyn, "Don't doubt my appetite."
