Chapter 30 - Chapter 30: Gold Coins Burst Forth

"This young dragon's battle experience is far less abundant than mine."

From the initial speed at which the Red Copper Dragon chased him, Galos judged that it wasn't very strong. Even with alchemy tools enhancing its speed, it was still slightly slower than him.

After a few tests just now.

He confirmed its reaction speed was inadequate, its battle experience limited, and he knew the effect of the golden chain alchemy tool.

This was a fledgling Red Copper Dragon, with little actual combat experience, and arrogant thanks to possessing some alchemy tools - an evaluation Galos made in his mind.

"The alchemy tools it carries will all be mine. Let it taste the dangers of the wilderness."

Galos' eyes flashed, his thoughts changed.

Initially, he had no interest in entangling with the Red Copper Dragon, but after probing, he found the opponent was far less formidable than he anticipated, and moreover, it held treasures, which changed the situation completely.

The Red Copper Dragon continued to relentlessly chase.

Galos slowed his pace slightly, keeping the opponent hooked, to prevent it from falling behind.

After some time, the Red Iron Young Dragon retracted its wings, tore through the dense clouds, and dove downward, suddenly vanishing from the Red Copper Dragon's view.

"Is it unable to fly anymore?"

The Red Copper Dragon's spirits lifted.

In its view, Galos, with his heavy and bulky body, must be expending significant magical energy while flying, meaning he was already exhausted, while it could rely on alchemy tools to stay rested, now was the perfect opportunity.

Changing its direction, the Red Copper Dragon also dove downward, the scales on its neck flying.

In a blink, it landed on the ground.

"Where is it hiding?"

The Red Copper Dragon's gaze swept over the surrounding environment, noting the presence of an abandoned mine pit ahead.

It stepped forward slowly, lowered its head, and saw several Dragon Scales scattered on the ground at the bottom of the rocky mine pit, seemingly scraped off by accident.

"Hiding in such a place really fits the crude taste of an Evil Dragon."

The Watcher's Necklace, which was the big golden chain around the Red Copper Dragon's neck, emitted a defensive glow, covering its whole body.

It lowered its wings, spiraled down to the mine pit's bottom, squinting its eyes as it scanned the dark mine tunnels, trying to find Galos' silhouette.

After a few short seconds.

The black rocks underfoot suddenly started to tremble.

An ominous wind surged out from the widest mine tunnel.

"Evil Mixed-blood Dragon! Come, face my might!"

With vigilance, the Red Copper Dragon's eyes brightened.

But quickly it realized something was amiss, the ground was trembling too violently, and the noise from the tunnel seemed like a giant creature was passing through.

Simultaneously.

A gigantic shadow shot out of the tunnel, exposed to the sunlight.

It was an exceptionally large Rock-Breaking Worm, its meat-grinder-like terrifying jaws filled with countless interlocking sharp teeth, lunging at the Red Copper Dragon.

It was the Rock-Breaking Worm King.

Since Galos had frequently come here to capture Rock-Breaking Worms earlier, the Worm King was now extremely wary; any disturbance would make it ferociously rise, and Galos was aware of this fact, using it to his advantage.

"Ah, cunning Evil Dragon!"

The Red Copper Dragon was shocked and scared, realizing it was trapped.

This was a trap.

It never expected that the Red Iron Young Dragon, appearing stronger than a Red Dragon, wouldn't have its brain packed with muscles like a Red Dragon.

The Red Copper Dragon immediately opened its mouth.

Its tongue rolled, revealing a fine silver ring.

Taking half a step back, the Silver Frost Ring on the Red Copper Dragon's tongue tip suddenly began to shine.

Freeze!

A thick cold stream erupted from the Red Copper Dragon's mouth; more precisely, it sprung from the ring, akin to the breath of a Silver Dragon, landing upon the gigantic Rock-Breaking Worm charging at it.

Its body was swiftly covered in a layer of frost.

Soon, with a tooth-numbing crunching sound, the ice layer on its shell swiftly shattered.

The Worm King continued its attack.

Taking advantage of the influence delaying it, the Red Copper Dragon accelerated its fiery wings, taking off without pause, escaping the Worm King's subsequent pursuit.

Yet before it could relax.

A black-red Dragon Shadow suddenly erupted from somewhere on the ground, its wings spread open like a massive guillotine, producing a terrifying shriek as it tore through the air.

The Red Copper Dragon's heart was shocked.

It parted its jaws to spit an orange-red gel-like acid, which ballooned into a web-like shape mid-air, heading down on Galos.

The Flaming Dragon Breath surged from Galos' mouth, igniting the Red Copper Dragon's acidic Dragon Breath, obliterating its corrosive and adhesive properties.

Whoosh!

Gale whipped up by the Dragon Wings swirled flames, trailing behind like a cloak.

Galos charged at the Red Copper Dragon with unstoppable mighty force.

Breath catching slightly, the Red Copper Dragon facing Galos finally realized it had made a mistake, this Evil Dragon Race was far stronger than it imagined, and not only strong, but also insidious and cunning, destined to become a super Evil Dragon in the future.

In front of its body, the Watcher's Necklace condensed a thicker light screen.

The Red Copper Dragon prepared to face its adversary.

Galos lifted his right wing, suddenly dashing diagonally.

Magic energy infused into his wings, his speed suddenly soared.

——On regular days, Galos relied on his battle-hardened, evolved wings for flight, unlike other Dragon Races that needed to enhance with magic energy to fly.

His body traced an arc through the air.

Almost instantly, Galos maneuvered behind the Red Copper Dragon.

The muscle fibers in his tail tightened like steel wires, the Lightning Tail Ring hidden in the crevices of his Dragon Scales lit up, causing countless snake-like electric arcs to adhere to the Dragon Tail, crackling, with electric current stimulating the muscles, unleashing even greater power.

Unlike the Red Copper Dragon's directly externalized equipment.

Galos usually kept the tail ring hidden within the Dragon Scale crevices, never flaunting it.

With a similar front flip motion.

The Red Iron Young Dragon's electrically charged tail traced a full moon-like light arc, striking fiercely on the Red Copper Dragon's back.

Crack!

The light screen abruptly splintered.

The glow from the Watcher's Necklace was instantly extinguished, its stored energy depleted.

The weakened tail strike fell upon the Red Copper Dragon's Scale Armor, slicing through razor-sharp scalpel-like dragon scales, tearing the Dragon Scales apart, leaving a wide, ghastly bloody mark.

The Red Copper Dragon cried out in pain, twisting its head.

It opened its Dragon's Kiss, the Silver Frost Ring on the tongue tip lighting up again, a chill quickly spreading.

To combat Red and Iron Dragon mixed-blood.

The chilling impact created by the Silver Frost Ring could deal double damage, also a reliance of the Red Copper Dragon.

However.

Once exposed, it could no longer be called a trump card.

Galos was prepared long before, as the Red Copper Dragon spat out the cold stream, he thrust his head forward, colliding with the Red Copper Dragon's chin, a dull sound echoing.

The Red Copper Dragon was forced to close its mouth, making it difficult to counterattack at the first moment.

Whoosh!

Galos exhaled a large mass of white gas at close range, enveloping the Red Copper Dragon.

This was another type of breath belonging to the Iron Dragon Bloodline - Hypnotic Dragon Breath.

Creatures hit by the Hypnotic Breath, as long as they fail the will test, will enter a sleepwalking-like state, answering all questions.

A powerful, sufficiently aged Iron Dragon can even hypnotize enemies like puppets to do their bidding.

Flaming Dragon Breath, Electric Fire Dragon Breath, Hypnotic Dragon Breath.

These are the three types of Dragon Breath Galos possesses.

With Hypnotic Breath directly hitting, the Red Copper Dragon's vision blurred, feeling drowsy, yet it was older with a mental resilience, not immediately hypnotized.

Galos smacked a Dragon Claw on the Red Copper Dragon's neck.

Crash.

Many glittering items flew out.

——These were Gemstones and Gold Coins; some Dragon Races like to hide them snugly within the inner layer of their neck Scale Armor.

Galos rolled his Dragon Wings, catching all the exploded Gemstones and Gold Coins, then struck a few more times, scooping away more Gemstones and Gold Coins.

Before the Red Copper Dragon could regain senses.

Galos clutched tightly with his claws, tearing away the Red Copper Dragon's big golden necklace, rapidly hooked its wing ring with claw tips, pried open its mouth, straightened the tongue, and took the ring off.
