Chapter 33 - Chapter 33: Ice Damage

Galos landed on the wilderness outside the Iron Pine Hills, pinching the Silver Frost Ring at his claw tip. The ice crystal core embedded in the ring surface emitted a faint blue light, and he could feel a cool aura even through the scale armor.

He examined it closely.

He saw textures resembling Dragon Scale patterns on the surface of the ring.

Moreover, not only the ring, but the necklace and wing ring all had similar dragon patterns.

This indicates that they are most likely creations of Dragon Race alchemists, and given the similar dragon pattern structures, it's quite possible they were crafted by the same dragon.

"Does that Red Copper Dragon have a parent proficient in alchemy?"

"It feels good to have backing, unlike me who is lonely and must rely only on myself."

Galos shook his head, then pressed the ring against his tongue, mimicking the usage method of the Red Copper Dragon.

Silver frost breath rushed from his mouth, causing a half-meter-thick ice layer to rapidly form on the rock wall thirty meters away.

He extended his forepaw, cautiously reaching into the dense ice mist that had yet to dissipate.

As soon as his claw entered, frost patterns climbed over the surface, the cold extending along the paw to the Dragon Arm, forming ice crystals on the Dragon Scales.

The chill seeped through the gaps between the scale armor, freezing Galos' skin and flesh like countless ice needles piercing back and forth, inducing intense stabbing pain.

It felt as if he had fallen into an icy cavern, both painful and numb.

"Just a light touch, this Ice damage restrains me greatly."

Galos frowned.

Basic elemental energy exists in four categories.

Earth, Water, Wind, Fire.

Ice Element, Lightning Element, Radiation Element, etc., are all mutations based on these basic elements.

This means Ice damage is a variant of Water damage.

Since he never had the conditions for targeted training, Galos' resistance in this regard is just the weak resistance of a normal Fire Dragon, with Ice attacks causing double the restraining damage when landed on him.

"How much water a barrel can hold depends on its shortest stave."

"The existence of weak points severely limits my development, making me have easily targeted weaknesses."

"Ice damage comes in many categories, I need to adapt to it in advance."

Galos thought to himself.

The high-temperature boiling Dragon Blood quickly circulated within, dark red textures on the Red Iron Young Dragon scales lit up with a lava-like glow, sizzling and evaporating the attached frost into white steam.

Next.

Galos tried the Flowing Fire Wing Ring and Watcher's Necklace one by one.

The Flowing Fire Wing Ring could amplify speed and coat the wings with fire, increasing Fire Element damage; the Watcher's Necklace was purely a defensive tool capable of withstanding Galos' full force.

"The wing ring is nice, the effect is similar to the tail ring, it might help stimulate my wings to adapt and evolve."

After using the tail ring multiple times, even without activating the lightning amplification, Galos feels his tail tingling occasionally with electricity-like sensations.

He speculated.

The amplification and strengthening effect brought by alchemical tools will gradually be 'memorized' by his body and silently adapt to evolve in this direction.

Just because no specific evolutionary results have emerged.

Galos can't conclude for sure, but he knows that these alchemical tools surely stimulate his body to adapt and evolve.

"The tail ring is lightning attribute, and besides the Electric Fire Dragon Breath barely having some lightning attribute, there's nothing else; the adaptability isn't high enough."

"I'm inherently Fire Element, if my assumption is correct, this wing ring might lead me to finish the adaptation and evolution of the Dragon Wings first."

After figuring out the specific effects and strengths of the three alchemical tools, the night deepened.

The twin moons hung high in the night sky, casting bright moonlight.

Galos put away the alchemical tools and stepped toward the rock wall, frozen with thick ice layers that hadn't dispersed yet; then, he extended his claw and struck fiercely, ice chips flew under his sharp claws leaving several claw marks, yet they didn't directly shatter.

"Sturdy enough, I like it."

Galos' eyes lit up.

The hardness of ordinary rock mountains was gradually no longer matching his training intensity.

The attack power manifested by this ring is powerful, the condensed ice layer is as hard as steel and exudes cold air, very suitable for Galos now.

As for directly using the Silver Frost Ring to attack himself.

This method is indeed more efficient, but with its attack intensity, it could cause severe harm to Galos, putting him in danger.

He currently has no elders to shelter him, so he must consider the consequences before doing anything.

Next, Galos continuously struck or slapped the ice layer attached to the rock wall.

He was tempering the hardness of his scale armor and muscle strength while slowly adapting to Ice damage.

This is a gradual process, impossible to achieve in one step, but as a long-lived Dragon Race, Galos has plenty of time, and he has always been very patient.

Every time his body is eroded by the chill.

It feels like countless ice needles piercing within, extremely painful.

However, Galos had long been accustomed to physical pain, and he didn't feel distressed by it; instead, he thought silently, this pain is the evidence of his gradual growth and evolution.

Upon thinking this way.

As he felt the pain, a bit of thrill also emerged in his heart, the interplay of pain and excitement became the key for Galos to persist unwaveringly.

Under the clear moonlight.

The Red Iron Young Dragon was forging his body alone, unnoticed.

Meanwhile.

Under the same moonlight covering the sky.

Red Copper Dragon Deborah was crying and flew towards the north of the Sel Wilderness.

The north of the Sel Wilderness connects to the Eternal Frost Tundra, so as she went north, the air temperature gradually decreased.

Gradually.

When the sky brightened, and a touch of dawn arose, Deborah reached the northern wilderness with normal air temperature, without the feel of heat, then slightly circled in the sky, folded her wings, and swooped down to the place surrounded by several peaks.

The air here was neither cold nor hot.

The dense canopy of red maple trees connected into a piece, swaying as the wind blew, resembling a sea of fire burning on the ground, the scenery splendid and beautiful.

Deep in the Red Maple Forest, beside the creek, there was a three-story building.

It was entirely made of metal, adorned with some flowers and vines, the whole structure very exquisite and beautiful,

Appearing on the surface as a man and a woman, handsome and beautiful, strolling hand in hand along the creek, enjoying flowers and water, smiling intoxicatingly, gazing at each other with tender affection, and so much love it almost overflowed.

Whoosh!

A gust of wind blew.

The young Red Copper Dragon, nearly ten meters long, hovered in the sky, casting a shadow over them.

Yet their faces showed no fear; instead, they waved at the Red Copper Dragon.

"Dad! Mom! I've been robbed! The alchemical tools you gave me were all stolen by a nasty Mixed-blood Dragon."

Red Copper Dragon Deborah landed before them, letting out a howl, and burst into tears.
