Caleb Sterling bent down and lifted Sierra Summers off the ground, saying in a deep voice, "Me too."
"Cecilia."
Caleb's voice sounded right next to her ear.
"I am delighted that you came to me."
"Delighted that the rest of my life will be with you."
Sierra was pressed against his chest, her chin resting on his shoulder, her feet dangling in the air, yet she didn't feel anxious. Instead, she felt very safe.
This wasn't the first time Caleb had held her like this.
As long as Sierra stayed by Caleb's side, she could feel secure.
She tightened her arms around Caleb, responding softly and solemnly with an "Mm."
The two of them gazed tenderly at each other in the room.
In the evening, it was officially time for dinner.
Sierra came downstairs from the second floor with Caleb, wearing a dress he had custom-made for her and a gentle makeup look.
