Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: No Matter How Much He Offers, Buy It for Double

"What am I supposed to do? If this keeps going, forget about the newcomer award, who will even hire me for acting in the future?" Linda Hancock cried anxiously, still playing the pitiful card at this moment.

"Lynn, don't worry." Watching her tearful face, Aaron Lawson compassionately pulled her into his arms, "With me here, I won't let anything happen to you."

"Brother Aaron, please help me."

...

Watching the two of them being so intimate as if no one else was around, Sparkle Gold felt nothing but disgust and quietly slipped away.

After just two steps, her phone rang with a call from an unknown number. She pressed the answer button, "Hello."

"Not good." Evan Saint scolded coldly, "Sparkle, did you leave your brain at home when you went out?"

How could she still be on the road with those two pig-brained people!

Sparkle couldn't help but roll her eyes, "Didn't you say my brain was just for show?"

Can't he just stop being so sarcastic?

Evan's voice grew even colder, "Go home."

"I won't..."

"You have to obey."

Sparkle flared up, "Why? I'm not your slave..."

Glancing at his wristwatch, Evan Saint calmly reminded her, "I'll be at Starlight in ten minutes."

With that, he hung up, giving her no chance to protest.

"President, someone from Weibo called. Aaron Lawson wants to take down the trending topic at double the price."

Evan snorted, "No matter how much he offers, buy it for double. It's his money anyway. If he runs out, go ask him for more."

"Yes." The secretary wiped the sweat from his forehead.

The president is truly cunning. He knew the president's wife went to crash the wedding and not only didn't stop her but also blocked the signal in the banquet hall so she could crash to her heart's content.

Only after she left did he show up and opened his mouth to demand ten million from Aaron Lawson.

Suddenly, snow began to fall from the sky.

Evan's eyes flickered, "Stop the car."

"President, we haven't arrived yet..."

"Stop the car." Opening the car door, Evan commanded coldly, "Do not follow."

After saying this, he strode towards Starlight.

As soon as Sparkle stepped out, she noticed it was snowing.

She walked into the snow, lifted her head, and stood there in a daze.

It's been years since she last had a good snowball fight... Are they all doing well?

Her hand was suddenly grasped. She turned her head to see Evan Saint's handsome and charming profile, as calm as ever.

"Sparkle, you could be a bit more stupid."

"Then why aren't you staying away from me? Aren't you afraid of catching it from me?" Sparkle wrinkled her nose and softly retorted.

"Immune." Evan walked with her at an unhurried pace.

"Where's the car?"

"Didn't drive."

Sparkle skeptically looked at him, "You drove here at noon..."

"What would an idiot know?"

"How am I an idiot?"

"You're too noisy."

Sparkle gritted her teeth, forcefully pulling her hand back, "I'll stay away from you, so I won't disturb your highness."

"Losing you means I'll have to find you again, troublesome." Evan tightened his grip, walking straight ahead, his black trench coat making him look even more tall and handsome.

Looking at his smooth-profile, Sparkle couldn't bear to look away.

After ten years without seeing him, he remained as aloof and unapproachable as ever, yet even more captivating.

"Evan, do you remember the first time we got rained on together?"

"No." Evan answered without hesitation, but her words from back then flashed in his mind.

"Evan, look, if we keep walking like this, we'll grow old together, isn't it romantic?"

Back then, he scoffed at it.

But what is he doing now?

He looked down at their clasped hands, his eyes darkening as he suddenly withdrew his hand.
