Lilian's POV
The sudden jolt threw my body forward against the seatbelt. Without the restraint, I would have slammed straight into the dashboard.
Still catching my breath, Augusto's voice cut through the silence like a blade. "Get out."
I stared at the heavy traffic crawling past us, then checked the time on my phone. Panic started creeping in as I turned to him with desperation.
"Could you please just drop me off at the office first—"
"I said get out!" His voice exploded in the confined space.
The raw fury in his tone made me recoil. My chest tightened with a familiar ache as I watched his face contort with worry and frustration. The way his jaw clenched, the panic flickering in his eyes—it all screamed one truth. Ashley owned every piece of his heart, and one phone call from her could make him abandon everything else.
