Lilian's POV
"Dad," I whispered through gritted teeth, my eyes locked on his face in disbelief. The words coming from his mouth felt like a nightmare I couldn't wake up from.
My stomach clenched violently. This was the same man who used to call me his little princess, who would tuck me into bed with fairy tales. Now he stood here, practically auctioning off my dignity to Augusto like I was merchandise at a garage sale. The humiliation burned through my veins like acid.
But Dad completely ignored my strangled protest. His attention snapped back to Augusto, his voice sharp and demanding. "Listen here, you're not married to her anymore. So if you want to keep sleeping with my daughter, there's going to be a price. I'm not asking for charity here. We can call it a business loan if that makes you feel better."
Each word felt like a physical blow. Hot tears spilled down my cheeks as rage and shame warred inside my chest.
