Leaving his house, Vesper began to walk to school, making sure to leave with enough time to make it to class. With enough time to take the bus, Vesper sat in the back and contemplated how he would act next when he saw something that caused him to stop.
From outside the window, he saw a person who had a pair of devilish-type wings on thier back with blood red eyes and a set of horns on their head.
(Wh...what the hell a-a demon?) Vesper asked himself in slight worry.
[It's because of your eyes, master. You are no longer blind to the supernatural world. Your eyes will allow you to see the true form of all,] Astrid explained
(I see...I guess I should accept it if I don't want to stress myself out.) Vesper sighed as he turned away from the man
After a quick bus ride, Vesper arrived at his school with time to spare. As he walked past the school gate, he saw Sora and Tsubaki standing there like always.
"Vesper, you're back...I was told you were hospitalized. I'm glad you are okay," Sona said as she saw Vesper.
"T-Thanks, prez," Vesper said as he scratched the back of his head nervously.
"Are you okay? You seem tired?" Sona asked, taking a step closer
"Yeah-Yeah, I'm good, just a little sleepy, that's all," Vesper replied quickly, gaining his composure.
"That's good...just make sure to take it easy today...Also, do you smell different today?" Tsubaki added
"Probably the new shampoo my mother bought," Vesper said as he walked past them.
(To think...the Prez and her VP are devils) Vesper thought as he took a glance back at their fluttering black wings.
Walking to his class, Vesper sat at his usual desk and lay his head down to relax. But it did not last long because Kiba walked in and tapped him on the head.
"Hey, Vesper, what happened to you? We all heard you were in the hospital?" Kiba asked
Looking up Vesper was even more surprising to see that one of his closest friends was also a devil.
(Is this school just filled with devils?) Vesper sighed
"No, yeah, I'm good, nothing to worry about anymore," Vesper replied
"That's good, you had us worried," Sakura said as she hugged Vesper from behind.
Looking up to see her, Vesper let out a sigh of relief that at least she was still human.
As Rias and Akeno walked into class, Vesper saw that Rias had larger, more profound wings and a red energy around her that seemed so destructive. In contrast, Akeno had one devilish wing and another feathery black wing, and a lightning aura around her.
(I feel like I should be surprised, but they all hand out together, so I shouldn't be) Vesper thought as he saw the two and gave them a small wave
But as the two of them saw Vesper, they stopped for a moment and looked at each other before quickly composing themselves and taking their seats.
"It's good to have you back with us...Hope you are feeling better," Rias spoke.
"Yeah, I was getting bored without our banter, and Sakura was especially missing you," Akeno said with a slight wink.
Before she could even say anything, the teacher walked in, and they began class. As the day went on, Vesper continued to get glances from Rias and Kiba, while Aneko would just stare at him for moments at a time.
As the bell rang for the end of class and lunch, Aneko whispered into Vesper's ear.
"Meet us at our clubhouse, we have to talk about something."
Wondering what they could be talking about, Vesper left the classroom and made his way to their clubhouse. Walking inside, he saw that it was Rias, Akeno, Koneko, Kiba, and two lower-year kids.
"Uhm, Rias, what is this about?" Vesper asked as he took a seat
"Yeah, Prez, is this guy a new member?" the younger year asked.
"No, this is one of our classmates, Vesper," Risa replied
"Vesper, I think you know the reason for my asking you to come here. I realized the moment I saw you, and you must have realized the truth about us, right?" Rias asked
"I don't know what you mean," Vesper said, deciding to play dumb.
"You may be trying to suppress it, but you are leaking divine energy...and it's very potent," Rias said bluntly.
"Well, I guess there is no use hiding it," Vesper sighed.
"Yeah...I saw your true form," Vesper replied.
"Tell me, were you required to the deck of an angel, and if so, you stayed in my territory without my permission, knowing the current balance is?" Rias asked
"Angels deck? I don't know what you mean. I have never met an angel before. Beside the creature that attacked me, you are the first supernatural beings I have seen," Vesper replied, confused.
"I see, this is quite interesting, a human awakening divine energy without the aid of external interventions," Akeno said with a smile.
"Yes, it is very interesting...I would like to make a proposal to you," Rias added.
"What kind of proposal?"
"Ally yourself with me. In truth, there aren't any that have divine energy and aren't in factions. I would like you to join the devil factions as a member of my perrage. In return, you will receive training, support, and all types of rewards." Rias offered
Before Vesper could even reply, Seraphina appeared from his shadow and held a blade to Rias' neck.
"How dare a mere devil try to make the great lord's servant. You must not cherish your life," Serpahina said, her eyes glowing a bright red, and her crow Mortem's eyes also began to glow.
Seeing this, Kiba also took out his sword, Ankeo prepared a lightning strike, Koneko put her candy down and stood up, Issei made a dragon gauntlet appear on his arm, and stood before Vesper.
"What the hell are you doing attacking the President like that?" Issei yelled.
Seeing this, Vesper sighed and stopped holding back his Divine energy, releasing a wave that caused everyone to take a step back and look at him.
"Seraphina, what did I tell you?" Vesper spoke in a cold tone.
"Ah...I deeply apologize, Great lord...I just couldn't stand a mere devil spe..."
"That mere devil is a good friend of mine. Return at once, I shall deal with you later," Vesper said, cutting her off.
"...Yes, Great Lord," Serphina said, entering Vespers' shadow.
"I'm sorry, Rias, Serphina is a bit protective as you show. I hope you were not injured," Vesper said with a bow.
"No, I am fine...I think that was the most surprising thing of today," Rias said with a small laugh.
"Well, it seems that you already plan to build your own factions from the look of it, 'Great Lord, '" Rias teased.
"Yes, I do...But I will make myself your Ally. If you require help that does not conflict with my agenda, I shall help you as an apology and as a friend," Vesper replied
"Very well then...I hope this is the start of a long and prosperous alliance," Rias said as she stood up and held out her hand
"As do I," Vesper said as he shook her hand.
