Hello everyone how are you all doing?
I've honestly been feeling fairly dick but that's due to some medicine my doctor has me taking.
In other news, I've been thinking about taking the plot in a super random direction. Still stuck on how I want to do a time skip though and what arcs are going to be next so I'll talk about that more in my next yap session.

[ Third Person POV ]
[ Kairo Oyama]
Kairo crouched behind a cargo crate waiting for one of black mask's goons to pass by for a quick takedown.
Meanwhile the unsuspecting goon, Tommy was walking in his assigned route when suddenly he passed by a wall and was snatched up by dozens of vines and forced unconscious by sleep powder.
Wrapping poor Tommy up in vines Kairo leaves him hanging from the ceiling and gestures for the others to follow after him.
Then activating his new ability and blinking forward as soon as he does though the power deactivates but it's long enough to get past the security camera and quickly take it down.
Stepping out into the open Selina rolls her eyes before walking after him followed by Holly cartoonishly creeping after them. Lastly their followed by their brand new team member.
Then reaching one last door with a final two guards the four of them watch as Kai puts the two startled men in anti-gravity bubbles and sprays sleep toxin at them.
One of the two men manages to regain himself fast enough to point his gun and fire only for his gun to jam.
"Well lucky us hehe, get it lucky?" Kai says chuckling as he looks back at the rest of the team.
"Good one kid, we're lucky to have you," A place woman with dark hair and a large black circle over her eye grins.
"Let's just get the money before the two of you bring us bad luck," Selina groans as Holly chuckles as she playfully strides up next to them.
Lastly, their breaths begin to freeze into white puffs as the air grows. Behind them, a set of clunking mechanical foot steps sound behind them. The last crew member who just so happens to have his own solution to their little door problem.
"Stand clear," the man says calmly as he steps forward and the others do the opposite.
Raising his gun arm into the air, the man aims and blasts a concentrated beam that chills and hardens the metal door. As the metal freezes over with ice the door suddenly chips, then cracks, then begins to break before becoming entirely brittle.
Kai regaining his serious demeanor, strides up to the large door and his eyes begin to glow with green and blue light. Soon enough a combo of Anti-gravity, sonic boom, and a quick cast of Wind Breaker the massive metal door shatters into tiny little pieces.
When the massive door opens, a cloud of frigid white vapor reveals what lies inside: the group's ultimate prize. A massive pile of cold hard cash. But the only problem is the group of Black Mask goons guarding the money and attempting to transport parts of it.
Simultaneously, every single one of their heads snaps to the group of five. Each member of Kairo's crew of cash crooks lines up next to the others.
Guns raise.
Safeties are flicked off.
Selina's whip flicks out like a tiger's tail.
Eyes narrow.
An emotionless gaze hardens with a palpable fury.
And with a wild smile growing across Kairo's face, the glow of his abilities begins to fill his eyes and shine upon the bewildered group of goons.
But in order to understand how and why this all went down exactly, we must go back to the start, via flashback of course.

[ Location: Somewhere near the outskirts of Gotham City ]
[ Time: 10:30 PM ]
[ Third Person POV ]
[ Kairo Oyama ]
"Are you sure she'll be here?" Kai asked staring at the entrance of a small somewhat run-down bar.
The bar's name was My Alibi Bar and Grill and as the name implies it had one main purpose in the underworld.
"You're the one who wanted to recruit people kid, well there's our chance," Selina smirked before walking into the establishment.
"Don't worry it'll be fine just wait outside and we'll convince her," Holly said as she and Selina made their way across the street to the bar while he waited.
The place wasn't anything to write home about but its inherent purpose was. As the name suggests My Alibi Bar and Grill is a seedy underworld bar near the outskirts of Gotham City. It was frequented by small-time hoods, petty criminals, and failed supervillains, who met there to look for work or trade gossip.

The annoying part is that for some reason it was dreadfully cold outside. It was snowing in fact but in such a localized area that there was no possible way that it was naturally occurring ice.
Luckily for Kai, he had the advantage of surrounding himself with giant fluffy cotton balls for warmth. Although it rid him of the cold it didn't rid him of his curiosity as to where the ice came from.
As he was pondering the subject though Kai was approached by two angry-looking thugs in party animal masks who attempted to attack him for cash.
Unfortunately for them, they managed to pick the one five-year-old in the whole city who would have absolutely no issue dispatching them with ease.
Quickly snapping the two up with roots growing through the concrete. Without even bothering to give the two hollering men a second glance he tossed them into the air before letting them crash down into a pile of snow.
By the time that had ended not only had Kai gained a new bronze ticket for appearing on the live stream but he also got his question about the snow answered.
The two women he'd been waiting for outside exited the bar. It had only been a few minutes which was rather lucky as their plan hinged on getting the job done quickly.
But rather than focus on them Kai's attention was caught by the frigid giant striding out behind them a few moments later.
Exiting the bar was a massive man covered in what looked like highly advanced Arctic armor. From his body, a pervasive chill permeated the air.
Mr. Freeze aka Dr. Victor Fries stepped out onto the street of Gotham City and fresh snow began to fall from the air around him. Wherever he walked winter followed like a loyal hound. Puddles turned to ice, icicles manifested on wet window sills, and car windows froze over. As the snow poured down and fell into heaps as the group approached.
Despite starting more than a heartbeat behind the others, Victor is the very first to reach Kai. His stride is completely unhesitating almost robotic in gate and his face bears no expression as he approaches the white-haired boy.

"Well, you must be Mr Freeze," Kai said with a growing grin as he looked up at the frozen man. He stared into those reflective red eyes without even the slightest hesitation.
"Greetings child. I presume you are the gifted boy your companions have mentioned?" Each syllable was entirely monotone and every single word was spoken with a puff of mist into the air.
"Gifted and so much more yes indeed. The name is Kai it's nice to meet you. I look forward to working with you," Kai said reaching out a hand to shake.
Victor stared down at the boy's hand then looked at him assessingly. The boy was somewhat tall but clearly still very young probably younger than his height suggested. His demeanor, however implied that not only was he far more intelligent than a normal boy his age should be, but he also held no fear of Victor, an exceedingly rare trait for a child.
Victor reached down with his black gloved hand and shook Kai's, it was as cold as death.
"Indeed young one, I have an interest in this partnership though temporary it may be. Enough pleasantries we must move quickly," Victor said before leaning back up and stepping past Kairo.
He waits behind the boy arms crossed and gun holstered for now. Kai glances over at him one more time before turning back to the approaching women.
"What a cool guy," Kai chuckled before checking his system notification. In the background, Holly groaned at the pun and Selina rolled her eyes again.
"I'm so over these puns. It's too cold for jokes," Holly shivers wrapping her arms around herself.
"Nonsense a hoe never gets cold." The third woman says playfully smacking Holly on the ass before striding past her and walking over to Kai. Holly pouts but quickly moves closer to Selina as she waits.
As she moves over to him Kai takes a quick look at the system notification her got from meeting Mr Freeze.

[ Congratulations! You have allied with Mr Freeze. Reward (x1) Silver Ticket! ]
'Nice,' Kai thinks with a nod as the third woman approaches him.
"Well well, you must be the newest boy wonder on the block, the name's Domino," She says leaning down to make eye contact with him and placing her hands on her hips. Both of said hips although wide, are made even wider by the twin Uzis strapped to them.
"Nice to meet you too Ms Domino. I suppose you could say it's my lucky day," Kai joked and the woman laughed before firing right back.
"Ho Ho well I'm just lucky to be a part of this little impromptu heist you have going on here," Domino smiled down at him, standing up straight and crossing her arms in a way that juggled her ample chest.

"Ha, I like you, kid. This is your plan right? So how exactly are we getting to these docs? I don't exactly see a car around here," Domino says glancing around at the fairly empty street save for a few party animals who see the group and know well enough to turn and go the other way.
'Oddly smart behavior for a group of Gotham criminals especially natives,' she thought raising a brow before looking back to see Kairo's eyes glowing with power and a playful smirk on his face.
"Yes, I too would like to know how exactly-" Freeze said but his words halted as every single one of them suddenly began to float into the air before a sudden gust of wind began lifting them higher and higher into the air.
As the odd group of five floated away into the night Kairo checked his latest notifications from the system.

[ Congratulations! You have met your first fellow Mutant! Aren't you Lucky! Reward (x1) Silver Ticket! ]
Kai nodded at the system panel as he guided them through the air. As soon as the mild panic stopped Selina and Holly began to explain the plan to the two newcomers. Meanwhile, Kai just fook out a single silver ticket and goes hoping for something to help aid their clandestine efforts.
In a few moments, the Gacha wheel stopped spinning and Kairo read the pull.

'Well at least I have a counter for any one-hit kill move now that's nice I'll have to test the limits though,' Kai thought as he dismissed the system screen.
Tuning back into the conversation Kairo cut in as he landed them softly on a rooftop. Freeze thuncked to the surface, Holly stumbled a little but had enjoyed the overall experience of flying, Selina landed on her feet with feline grace, and after getting over her surprise Domino had rather enjoyed the experience, she even considered herself lucky to have gone through it.
They'd had enough fun with the puns for now though for tonight they had a job to do.

Been busy all week long so this chapter is shorter than usual sorry about that. I'll try to upload more frequently to mitigate that in the future no promises though
