Chapter 8 - CHAPTER 8: Deal Broken?

The figure that had been with the lady the whole time and had sent her in the car was now in her very own car. Followed by her minions she sped off to an unknown location in which they were to discuss business. "Damn it! your my assistant and you're seriously telling me that I'm wrong?" "Shut that little mouth up quickly before there is no mouth left," the figure uttered. Now both the assistants were chatting with each other about their plans. They were to head to their "lair" as they called it, but one of the assistants were bugging the figure so damn much! "F*ck her girl, we need to get the cash, uno efectivo chica!" one of the minions whispered. But the other one now had a smug look on her face, "when in the world did you learn Spanish huh?" "Or did you just learn that one phrase the whole week just to tell it to me know." The minion that had just made a remark was now giggling; she thought that it was just a harmless joke. "Man f*ck off will you, you already know that I'm Mexican you don't need to act like a dumba*s!" The figure now turned back around at the sound of shouting, "remember girls whoever doesn't follow my orders doesn't make the cut got it." The assistants now both nodded at their master's warning. What were they to do after all, when she was in charge of their financial state at the moment. She wasn't the nicest boss, but she was the boss that gave you good money, that was really the only reason why most people had stuck around with the boss. While not many would just stay with the boss because they enjoyed the work, she made them do. Even though a normal human with a heart should never enjoy that type of job. Unless of course you were a human with no heart, which for some people was the case. Both the minions were now staring out the window; they had been distant for a while now. And they had barely gotten used to each other, and bonded. But now they were back on the same terms, they weren't besties or anything so insulting each other wasn't considered a joke. Especially since they were competing for each other's place, (that of course was if one of them displeased the master other than that then they would both be partners for the job.) "Shoot girl I think I forgot my thing!" one minion whispered, but the other one was still ignoring her for she never wanted to talk to her again. Especially after she mocked her saying that she practiced her line all week. 'What a b*tch!' the minion mused, 'who the f*ck does she think she is telling me that I practiced that line all week!" The car suddenly halts to a stop, and the minions realize they arrived at their "lair" when their master walks out the car door. "Hurry up b*tches I can't be late!"

As soon as I plopped the few bags that I had in my hands on the table I had been looking at the whole time. I turned back around to see how Iris was doing, and she seemed to be doing better now. She was just carrying the bags like they were her thin paper check. No struggle, no hurry, just normal and maybe even supernatural, since Iris looked like she was going to collapse and faint just a couple seconds ago. "F*ck! Iris, you remember when you said you would give me a job as your assistant." Iris took a moment to realize that I was talking to her, before staring at me. She than nodded, didn't say anything else at all, which I found quite strange since she had always been the talkative type. At least that was the side she had been showing me the whole time when I was with her. "Iris what the heck happened, why are you so dang silent now?" she avoided my gaze and continued to keep her eyes locked with the table. As soon as she set the bags down, she finally spoke, "look Nina I can't be offering you the job without knowing you have the capabilities for it." Now I was really confused, what does she mean by capabilities, she said the job would be easy for me. And on top of that she literally promised me the job, she can't just pull strings out of nowhere. I called that deception, and when someone lies to me, I always gave them a real good kick. "Oh, come on you gotta be kidding me, you promised you would literally give me the dang job!" My eyes were now glaring hard at hers, "come on Iris no one likes a liar you promised me something and I made a deal on it." I now pointed at her Vannel bag that I was still tightly clutching in my hands. "A deals a deal b*tch, I did your part now you have to finish your part." "You were the one to offer me the deal to begin with, I have no damn clue who you even really are." "I don't think you should be lying to me now, right Iris?" She now lowered her gaze from mine but panic never showed up on her face. It was more like guilt, fresh guilt. Which I personally would definitely feel if I broke a deal as big as that. Not only that but she was the one to offer it, why the heck was she now changing up her words? She now looked back up at me, and I could now see tiny tears running down her face. "Please Nina forgive me, something came up and I just can't give you that type of life changing money anymore." I kept my contact with Iris steady and strong, a glare still glued to the side of my eye. "So, your saying our deal is broken?"
