Chapter 262 - Ch 262: Naming the Mirror

‎Ankit didn't follow the river trail or search for a town.

He simply raised his right hand. On his ring finger, the storage ring appeared—visible only to him.

This ring contained everything a person could ever need. And the items inside were unlimited—no cap, no depletion.

The ring itself was invisible to others and protected by powerful restrictions. No one could steal it, sense it, or even notice it existed.

Ankit took out one item: a large, elegant house.

It materialized in front of him in an instant—complete with bedrooms, kitchen, library, garden, and every comfort a mortal could want.

He stepped inside.

Why should he struggle to earn money or survive like a mortal?

He was the creator of this world.

He had already lived through hardship and poverty in his previous timeline. He didn't need to repeat it.

He had come here only to comprehend the time element—nothing else.

The house door closed behind him.

***

Meanwhile, in the real world.

A day had passed.

In the center of the hidden world inside Dark Haven Fortress, Ankit's body still sat cross-legged, floating silently in front of the gigantic mirror.

Just then, Ankit opened his eyes.

The invisible threads wrapped around him slowly retracted back into the mirror.

Even after opening his eyes, Ankit stared blankly at the mirror. He didn't blink. He didn't move.

A minute passed.

Ten minutes passed.

Twenty minutes passed.

Then Ankit blinked.

Slowly, his fingers began to twitch.

He rose to his feet and stretched his limbs gently.

His body wasn't paralyzed—it was just that after living 100 years in that world, his consciousness connection with his real body had weakened.

Now, returning, it took time to readjust.

He also looked at the time after coming back: he had lived 100 full years inside that world.

In reality, only one day had passed.

During those hundred years, he hadn't explored any place.

The world was modern—just like his previous timeline. There was nothing new to discover.

He simply stayed inside his house the entire time, quietly experiencing and observing the time element.

There wasn't even space to explore.

The people in that world had knowledge of space, just like in his previous timeline.

But they believed their planet was caged by an unbreakable shield.

No one could leave the planet or enter from outside.

People could see the stars in the sky, but they could never touch them.

Actually, their world isn't caged. There just isn't anything beyond their own planet. Only the planet exists—no solar system, no galaxy, no universe.

Ankit hadn't bothered creating a solar system or anything else. There was no need. It would only make the task more complex. So he simply created a single planet.

The other worlds were the same—only a planet or a large continent. Nothing existed beyond that boundary. No one could leave.

After stretching, Ankit murmured, "Well, it's good I had that bad feeling from my Divine Sage profession. Otherwise, who knows how much time I would have wasted just readjusting to my body."

When he was creating the mirror, he had gotten a bad feeling. He had calculated using his Divine Sage profession and discovered that staying in those worlds for many years would gradually weaken his connection with his real body.

He found that 100 years was safe. It wouldn't cause much problem if he stayed only that long.

So he set the mirror's function to automatically call him back to his body every hundred years. This way, his connection could be restored.

Then Ankit began planning his next world to descend into.

This time, he chose a martial world—where people were martial artists.

They didn't use essence flow or any type of energy. They relied purely on their bodies, techniques, and physical mastery.

Ankit had created so many worlds in the mirror because it would help him comprehend the time element more effectively. He could visit different worlds and experience different time periods—modern, medieval, ancient.

Time isn't a single river—it's a vast ocean with countless currents.

Living in one world only shows one current.

Living in thousands worlds, with different time periods, shows the full ocean—its depths, waves, undercurrents, and hidden flows.

Only then can he truly comprehend time's complete nature.

And with different themes, he also avoided boredom in a single world.

If he had to stay in the previous choosen world for thousands of years, even he would sigh at the monotony.

So he made many worlds. But he hadn't created a cultivation world. Why?

Because there wasn't enough essence flow to support one.

If a cultivation world existed, it would require essence flow for people to cultivate. But the mirror was already using all the available essence flow just to maintain the existing worlds.

Any sharing would make the mirror unstable. So he avoided creating a cultivation world and only made simple martial worlds and some fantasy worlds with normal people.

Ankit could avoid boredom by visiting these worlds one by one—every hundred years inside, which was just one day in real time.

Now he chose this martial world to explore. He still used his real adult form. He didn't want any relations with those illusions.

The same thing happened again. Invisible threads swirled out from the reflection of the chosen world. All other reflections stopped—as if time inside them had frozen.

Just as Ankit's consciousness began blurring, he murmured in confusion, "Why haven't I named the mirror yet? I should give it a good name. Hmm… let's think."

"It's good."

"The name of this mirror should be—MyriadPrism."

"Myriad for thousands of worlds.

Prism for splitting and reflecting light—worlds—into many."
