Chapter 258 - Ch 258: That makes Sense....

‎After the disciples got their tasks, they exited the game.

Their first target was their own families. They would recruit them first, then move on to other players.

They could recruit players from the world lobby or target players who were rejected by Concords.

This wasn't Sanya picking up "trash."

She didn't worry about recruits lacking skill—she could train them using her many methods.

She wasn't like the Concords, who prioritize recruiting already-skilled people.

Rejected players were easier to recruit than others.

The sect currently needed loyal support, not skilled people.

Meanwhile, Sanya stayed inside her central mountain palace.

She and Rudra watched the elders' actions through a large mirror in the main hall.

After the elders left the game, Sanya turn off the mirror.

She said, "Well, it's good we made them sect elders. Now we don't have to work."

Sanya was sect leader and Rudra vice leader. They should have recruited members themselves.

But they found it boring, so they gave the task to the elders.

They could do other things—like relaxing.

They had no real work. They could buy anything they wanted or use Ellie to solve any problem. They could even give her monitoring tasks.

So they really had nothing else to do.

Just then Rudra asked curiously, "Sister, are you really going to sell the Tortoise breathing technique in the world lobby?"

Rudra had heard his sister murmuring about selling a breathing technique while they watched the disciples exploring the sect through the mirror.

Now he asked her directly, wanting to understand why.

They could buy anything from the store for free—so why the need to sell and earn?

Sanya turned to him, her expression calm but serious.

"We can buy things for free, yes—but only for ourselves, you and me. The store gives us that privilege because we're Brother's family. Sect members are normal players. They don't have free access. They need points, which they can also use in real world."

Rudra frowned slightly.

"But… we can just give them points ourselves, right?"

Sanya shook her head gently.

"We could, but we don't have many points ourselves either. We're like normal players in that way—we don't have infinite points. If we give points to every member as their salary, our own points will run out very quickly. We need a steady source of points to keep paying salaries, rewards, and sect expenses."

She paused, letting it sink in.

"If we sell one breathing technique—even a basic one—it will sell for a huge amount of points. One sale could give us enough to pay dozens of members for months. That way, We can keep the sect running without paying from our own points."

Rudra blinked, finally understanding.

"So… we sell one technique once, get tons of points, and then we can support everyone without any problem?"

Sanya smiled faintly.

"Exactly. We don't need to sell many—just one to start. Later, when the sect is bigger and members earn points through their own work, we won't need to sell anything else. This is just to build the foundation."

Rudra nodded slowly.

"Oh… that makes sense."

Sanya nodded her head and said, "Yeah, call Maria. She can sell it quite well with her funny jokes."

Just as Sanya finished her sentence, a white fox appeared on her lap. It was Ellie.

Ellie said, "Sect Leader, you don't have to call anyone. You can just put it up for auction so anyone can bid."

Sanya was confused. She replied, "But there is no auction function here."

Ellie explained, "Well, in the game itself, there is no auction system. But on the E.A. Network, there are many new functions and categories. One of them is auction. No one has used it yet because it just came out. You can use it and remain anonymous without showing yourself."

Sanya was quite happy hearing this. She patted the white fox gently.

She murmured, "And the E.A. Network has more people than the game itself. So we can reach more buyers and sell this technique with a good price. Ellie, put that breathing technique up for auction. And tell me, have you duplicated all the resources?"

Ellie said, still on her lap, "Yes sect leader, I will put it to auction. And I have duplicated all the items. But I can only duplicate them 10 times. After ten times, the data will be gone. So you have to scan that item again to use it inside the game. And the same thing happens with the embodied technology that turns game items into reality."

Hearing this, Sanya was quite confused, but she didn't mind scanning the item again. It was just more work—and puppets could handle it.

Actually, after an item is scanned, its data is stored in the device. The more duplicates are created in the game, the more the data separates. After ten times, the data disappears completely.

This limitation was created by Sphera on purpose—to make the Concords pay and keep the game economy running. Otherwise, they would scan once and keep duplicating forever without much cost.

But for Sanya, there was no cost at all. Only the puppets would have to do the extra work.

After that, Ellie vanished from Sanya's lap and went to handle more tasks.

Sanya watched Ellie disappear and said nothing. She was also planning to play a match with Rudra.

Just then, she noticed Jina and Ruyi had come online. She sent them guild invitations and immediately promoted them to sect elders. There were currently no other positions in the sect.

So she could only give them the sect elder position. Later, when the sect grew bigger, she could add new roles.

Jina and Ruyi appeared in the same place where the previous disciples had emerged. Every new sect member arrived at the same spot for the first time.

If sect members wanted, they could save a personal respawn location later.

Sanya didn't call them immediately, she gave them time to familiarize themselves with the sect.

She just watched them through the mirror.

After some time, Sanya sent a message to them in the sect tab. But his message was only for Jina and Ruyi—no one else could see it.

The message told them to come to the Central mountain.

They complied and arrived at the Central mountain.

Normally, no one could enter the Central mountain because of the restriction vyuhas.

Only people Sanya had permitted could go inside.
