Early the next morning, I arrived at Blackstone Village and was warmly welcomed.
"Charlie, take a look. Is my son Spike okay? He's twenty years old, strong, and very capable."
"Charlie, my daughter Mary is handy and hardworking. Do you think she fits?"
A group of village women was washing clothes by the creek. Upon seeing me, they immediately surrounded me, chattering away.
They had all heard that recently, I started a company and became a real boss, even setting up a factory in the town. Naturally, running a factory requires workers, and they all wanted to secure a job for their family members.
"Don't worry! Don't worry! There are jobs for everyone, many positions are still vacant in the factory!" I quickly said.
Thinking for a moment, I added, "Later on, I'll discuss it with the village committee. Anyone interested can sign up."
"Alright, Charlie, thank you!"
"I think we shouldn't call him Charlie anymore. We should call him Boss Thompson. That sounds more impressive!"
