Chapter 9 - What Did You Do To Me

In the early morning, sunlight streamed through the gaps in the curtains and entered the room.

On the bed, I sat cross-legged.

Throughout the night, I had been making potions and absorbing the Nourishing Spirit Liquid. After refining two portions of Nourishing Spirit Liquid, I could sense that the qi inside me was becoming more robust.

The Energy Introduction Realm is divided into Early Stage, Middle Stage, and Late Stage.

Currently, I am at the Early Stage Realm.

In this realm, the qi within me is still weak, unable to learn magic or the Talisman Technique. Only by reaching the Middle Stage or Late Stage can one cultivate magic.

According to my estimation, at this rate, it would take several months to reach the Middle Stage.

Feeling the sunlight on my face, I opened my eyes.

"It's already morning!"

I stretched lazily, feeling energetic despite not sleeping all night.

Swish!

I pulled open the curtains, and the sunlight outside was just right.

As I turned around, I saw another bed where a bunch of quilts moved. Then, a head popped out, sleepily rubbing its eyes.

She sat up and stretched her arms, giving a big lazy stretch.

By sitting up, the quilt fell away, revealing her alluring figure. Her **** was half-exposed, her waist lithe like a water snake, forming a beautiful curve.

Under the sunlight, she looked so dazzling, every part of her body seemed like a meticulously crafted artwork, exquisite and flawless.

Her lazy movements added a seductive charm.

I was stunned, feeling a warm rush to my nose, nearly causing a nosebleed.

The woman seemed oblivious, stretching lazily and yawning.

After a good ten seconds, she sensed something was wrong. Turning her head, she saw me standing by the window. Looking down, her pretty face immediately turned pale as she let out a high-pitched scream.

"You... you beast, what did you do to me?"

She grabbed the quilt, wrapping it tightly around herself, her face full of alarm and helplessness.

She nearly broke down, thinking she might have lost her purity, preserved for so many years, in such a muddled way.

I quickly said, "You misunderstood, I didn't do anything. Last night, I was passing by a bar when I saw you being bothered by some hooligans, so I helped you get rid of them."

"I wanted to take you home, but you fell asleep and didn't tell me where you lived, so I had no choice but to bring you here."

"I really didn't do anything! Your clothes... you took them off yourself..."

Upon hearing this, the woman's expression finally eased, letting out a barely noticeable sigh of relief. Naturally, she could feel that there was nothing unusual with her body.

Thinking back carefully, she vaguely recalled what happened last night.

The clothes, indeed, she took off herself.

She lowered her head, her face turning bright red, burning fiercely.

"Um... sorry about that!" Her voice was as soft as a mosquito's hum.

"It's nothing!" I responded awkwardly.

Then came an unspeakable silence.

"Um... can you turn around?" The woman looked up at me, quietly asking.

"Oh!" I quickly turned around.

Soon, there was the rustling sound of clothing being put on behind me.

"Thank you for last night! You look quite young, are you still a student?"

"No, I haven't been in school for a long time, just a delivery guy." My tone was somewhat bitter; dropping out of school had always been a regret in my heart.

"Oh!"

She responded softly and said nothing further.

I pursed my lips, thinking she might look down on me a bit. I could tell she wasn't someone ordinary, likely wealthy or noble, not someone from my lower class.

"Alright!"

A few minutes later, her voice rang out again.

I turned around, and my eyes lit up.

The woman before me was standing gracefully, dignified and elegant, incredibly beautiful. The fitted pencil skirt, along with black stockings, added a hint of understated allure.

She smiled slightly, opened her bag, took out a business card, and handed it over.

"This is my business card. If you have anything in the future, you can contact me."

I took it, glanced at it, and was dumbfounded.

"Elizabeth Rodriguez... Vanguard Group... CEO..." When I saw the word CEO, my pupils shrank, a trace of shock flashing through them.

I had guessed that her identity was unusual, but I didn't expect her to be a CEO. I had heard of the Vanguard Group too, a famous company in Veridia Province, with a large scale.

"She's a big shot!" I thought to myself.

"Well... I have something urgent, so I must go!" Elizabeth turned and walked towards the door. After a few steps, she suddenly stopped, opened her handbag, and took out her wallet.

She pulled out a stack of hundreds and handed it over.

"No need!" I quickly waved my hand, declining.

"Take it, consider it for the room cost." Elizabeth insisted.

"Alright then!" Unable to refuse, I accepted it. "By the way, take this." As I spoke, I opened my backpack and took out a jar of cosmetic medicine.

"What is this?" Elizabeth's brows furrowed slightly, puzzled.

"This is something I made myself, an ancestral formula, for beautification."

Elizabeth was stunned, holding back a laugh out of courtesy.

An ancestral formula? What use could it have!

But seeing Charlie's earnest expression, she couldn't bear to refuse, so she accepted it, thanked him, and turned to leave.

Watching her leave, I picked up the business card, looked at it, and then put it away.

"Ah! That's right, my car!"

I slapped my forehead, suddenly remembering that my electric tricycle was still parked by the bathhouse.

In a hurry, I rushed over, but there was no sign of my vehicle.

"Damn! Which bastard stole it!" I cursed out loud.

However, since I had money now, I didn't care about the loss. I called Uncle Brown to request a morning off and then took a bus back to Thompson Village.

Just as I got home, Jay's call came through.

"Hey! Thompson! Why aren't you here yet? Mr. Jay's been waiting anxiously."

"Jay, I have some matters this morning, so I'll have to wait a bit. I'll deliver it to you by noon." I said, "By the way, did your wife try the cosmetic medicine, how's the effect?"

Mr. Jay exclaimed, "She did, she did, my wife is going crazy over it now."

"What? Crazy?"

"No, no, not really crazy, just crazy with happiness and anxious, just waiting for you to bring more! Your medicine is amazing, unbelievable!"

Mr. Jay was extremely excited, "Thompson, what kind of incredible figure was your ancestor, how could they be so awesome. It's just mind-blowing."

"Haha!" I laughed awkwardly; my ancestor was no incredible figure, merely a humble farmer.

"Remember, bring me more, whatever you have, I want them all, money's no issue." Mr. Jay said straightforwardly.

"Alright! I'll bring it to you later."

I replied and hung up the phone.
