Chapter 8 - This Guy's Not Human, Run

"This idiot, must have water in his brain!"

A group of thugs burst into laughter, looking at the teenager approaching from ahead, their faces full of mockery.

The thugs were all around twenty-five or six years old, dressed in a flashy manner. The leader wore a black, tight leather jacket and had dyed blonde hair. His droopy eyes revealed a hint of sinister ferocity.

He stared at me, sneering coldly, "Mind your own business. The boys and I are in a good mood today, we don't want to get physical."

After speaking, he turned and shouted to the thugs, "Take her away!"

The thugs rubbed their hands together excitedly and quickly stepped forward to grab the woman.

"Stop!"

I shouted loudly, striding forward, "You scumbags, don't touch her!"

The group of thugs got furious.

"Damn it, dare to curse at me, let's see if I don't kill you!" A thug rolled up his sleeves, his face full of ferocity. He clenched his fist, dashed forward like an arrow, and punched towards my face.

The punch was strong, carrying a fierce wind, with a certain imposing momentum. Coupled with his vicious expression, it was indeed intimidating to many people.

But I was no ordinary person. Facing this punch, I became excited, clenching my right fist and punching back.

"Idiot!"

The thug's eyes flashed with contempt, as bulky and strong as he was, this kid couldn't be a match in a fistfight.

Bam!

The two fists clashed solidly against each other.

In an instant, the thug's smug and contemptuous expression froze. His eyes widened, his face twisted in pain, with cold sweat streaming down his forehead.

Ah—!

A scream burst from his mouth, piercing the night sky.

He then staggered back, crashing heavily into a car.

His body curled up, clutching his right hand, trembling incessantly. Looking at me, his eyes were filled with fear, as if seeing some kind of monster.

The other thugs stood in shock, faces filled with disbelief.

The scene before them was truly unbelievable—a seventeen-or-eighteen-year-old boy had punched and sent a burly adult flying.

"This... this is freaking unbelievable!"

The blonde thug seemed incredulous, rubbing his eyes.

I also felt somewhat surprised. Though I'd tested my strength before, I'd never applied it in action and didn't know its efficacy until now. This trial left me very satisfied.

"You all, get lost!"

I swept my gaze over the group of thugs, shouting sternly.

"Who the hell do you think you are? When I started in this business, you were still nursing! Dare to tell me to get lost, see if I don't cripple you!"

The blonde yelled, pulling out a small folding knife from behind with an evil glare and lunged at me.

The other thugs also drew knives, cursing as they charged in.

"I'll kill you!"

The blonde's face was twisted with malice, thrusting the knife towards my chest.

Seeing the knife made me instinctively panic; I'd been stabbed before. But I quickly calmed, squinting my eyes and clearly grasping the opponent's movements.

I stepped aside, dodging the knife.

Then I reached out with both hands, grabbed the blonde's arm, and fiercely twisted.

"Crack!"

The crisp sound of bone breaking accompanied a shrill scream.

"East Brother!"

With an angry roar, the remaining thugs charged in.

My eyes flashed; I simply grabbed the blonde and used him as a club, hurling him fiercely at the oncoming thugs.

The thugs were thrown into a panic, staggered by the blow; I charged forward like a tiger among a flock of sheep, punching left and right, pounding blots of blood from their faces.

In no time, they were all lying on the ground, moaning in pain, looking utterly miserable.

"That felt great!"

I shook my wrist, exhaling a long breath.

"God, this guy's not human, run!" The thugs struggled to get up, glaring at me in extreme fear. They supported each other, fleeing hastily.

"Not much of a fight!"

I muttered, watching them leave, then turned around.

The woman was steadied against a car, staggering forward, her steps faltering as if she would collapse at any moment.

I hesitated but walked over, "Hey! Are you alright?" I reached out to support her, but was immediately shrugged off.

"Don't... don't touch me, go away!" she mumbled vaguely.

With that shrug, she partially turned, revealing an exquisite, flawless profile—her skin was as white as cream, her lips red and luscious, her nose high and straight, her phoenix eyes half-closed, lost in a trance.

Her hair was black and sleek, accentuating the snow-white quality of her skin.

Her beauty was striking, leaving me momentarily stunned.

"What's happening today, bumping into two stunning beauties in a row..." I muttered to myself, feeling strange. Usually, I wouldn't see even a shadow of such beauties, but today I encountered two at once.

First, there was the beautiful police officer, and now this one.

Taking everything into consideration, these two were almost equally mesmerizing, each with their unique charm. The police officer had a certain heroic air, while the current one was more seductive.

The woman continued walking but suddenly wobbled and almost fell.

I hurriedly stepped forward, catching her.

"Hey! What's your name? Where do you live?" I loudly asked.

The woman in my arms made a vague sound, like a murmur, making it incomprehensible. Soon, she was silent.

I froze there, holding the alluring woman, unsure of what to do.

"Damn, what now?" I was at a loss.

I couldn't just leave her there! But I didn't know where she lived and taking her home wasn't proper either.

"Forget it, I'll rent a room!"

After some thought, this was the only option left. I supported her and walked forward. In less than a hundred meters, I saw a hotel. I rented a double room and carried her upstairs.

Entering the room, I directly threw her onto the bed.

She murmured, as if about to wake up.

"Hot... so hot!"

Unconsciously, she reached out, pulling at her clothes.

"Whoa, hey, what are you doing!" I panicked.

If she woke up tomorrow, how could I explain? There would be no way to clear my name!

"Amitabha, Infinite Venerable above..." I closed my eyes, muttering several times before finally calming down. I grabbed a quilt and covered her up.

She turned over, clutching the quilt, and fell into a deep sleep.

"Oh my god!" I finally breathed a sigh of relief, plopping down onto a chair.

I wanted to leave it at that but felt uneasy, so I stayed.

I opened my backpack, took out Lingzhi and other materials, and began to prepare the Nourishing Spirit Liquid.
