Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: The base is initially completed, but Chinese medicine is lacking

As the mystical glow of the crystal pendant continued to shine, the scene within the abandoned factory underwent a dramatic transformation.

The once silent production lines seemed to be imbued with life; one by one, rusted machines, guided by the light, slowly started up, regaining their vitality.

Liu Yun stood by, gaining a deeper understanding of the power of the Mechanical Race Clone; this seemingly ordinary crystal ball actually contained such high-tech power, capable of instantly activating an abandoned factory and bringing it back to life.

"This is incredible! Just like the Allspark of the Cybertronians. I can't even understand this process, but the Automaton Race's technology is very difficult for Earthlings to comprehend."

Liu Yun mumbled to himself, while an infinite excitement surged in his heart; his Clone moved, directly illuminating all the machinery here.

As the assembly line automatically operated, the first Elementary Auxiliary Combat Robot slowly glided off the production line.

This robot was made of silver metal, with sleek lines, and its eyes glowed red.

Its energy source was a crystal that looked identical to the crystal ball, an Elementary energy block, and its chest was equipped with a small laser cannon capable of firing laser beams powerful enough to penetrate the defenses of E-grade monsters.

Each robot produced by a mechanical base had an Elementary energy block, which was a unique feature of this base.

"This is our first combat force!" Liu Yun, through the intelligent System in the pendant, issued simple commands to the robot, which immediately responded with a series of precise movements, demonstrating its powerful combat potential and obedience.

With a mix of trepidation and anticipation, Liu Yun decided to personally lead the newly produced Elementary Auxiliary Combat Robot for a practical test. He chose a relatively safe wilderness area as the testing ground, where the terrain was complex, with enough space for the robot to engage target monsters, while also ensuring they could quickly withdraw if the situation got out of control.

Soon, they arrived at the designated testing area. Liu Yun deliberately made some noise, and from the distant bushes came a low roar; a massive Iron-Fur Boar charged out.

This Iron-Fur Boar was covered in hard, black fur, interspersed with a silvery sheen, and its two huge white tusks were like two sharp, white blades, enough to strike fear into any creature.

The robot's feet were firmly planted on the ground, and the small laser cannon on its chest began to charge; a red light gathered into a point at the muzzle, emitting a heart-pounding energy fluctuation.

Just as the Iron-Fur Boar was about to pounce, the robot decisively fired its laser. A dazzling beam of light cut through the air, heading straight for the Iron-Fur Boar. The laser beam accurately hit the boar's head, instantly penetrating its hard fur and skull, directly affecting its brain.

With a tragic shriek, the Iron-Fur Boar's massive body trembled violently, a bloody hole appeared on its head, and then it collapsed powerlessly to the ground, its eyes wide open, filled with unwillingness and fear. The air was filled with a burnt smell, the traces left by the high temperature of the laser beam.

"Amazing, one shot kill! This is an Iron-Fur Boar, a monster with extremely strong defense!"

Liu Yun was very satisfied; with this, he no longer feared monster raids. As long as the firepower was strong enough, a monster tide was a joke.

The so-called "horde tactics" appeared incredibly weak against the firepower suppression of the Automaton Race. It could be said that what the Automaton Race feared least was horde tactics; with superior firepower, no matter how many monsters there were, they would all just be piles of shredded meat.

He returned contentedly, and then, looking at the crystal, he modified the industrial base's energy source, setting up some bionic plants on the surface. These were disguised solar collectors, continuously sending light energy down from their roots, maintaining the stable operation of the industrial zone.

In the core area of the base, a huge display appeared, almost occupying the entire wall, emitting a faint blue light. This display was not just an information window, but the nerve center of the entire base, connected to monitoring Systems, energy management Systems, and combat command Systems in every corner.

The surface of the display was smooth as a mirror, but upon activation, it seemed to come alive, with countless complex data streams interwoven and leaping across it. From the real-time operational status of the industrial assembly line to the deployment of the underground defense System, and data analysis from external environmental monitoring, everything was under control.

"We need more herbs. Since the Great Nirvana, not only have many powerful monsters appeared in the world, but also many rare plants."

Liu Yun stood before the large screen of the Elementary Base, pondering and stating this. The traditional Chinese medicine he needed would become increasingly high-grade, and this requirement might become more and more difficult.

The trials didn't matter; he needed a place that was close enough and at the same time hidden enough to serve as a base. With that, he left to face the more complex challenges outside.
