Chapter 35 - fight

Supernatural realms

Meanwhile, Taejoon sat amidst the elders from the vampire and werewolf realms, his expression calm despite the tension brewing within. The elders' voices echoed, stating that both he and Han needed partners before the coronation.

Taejoon's response was firm, a hint of a smile on his lips. "There's no need to find a partner. I already have one."

The elders exchanged confused glances, curiosity etched on their faces. "Who is this person?" one of them asked, eyebrows raised.

Taejoon's gaze locked onto theirs, his voice unwavering. "It's Han."

Shock rippled through the room, followed by a chorus of objections. "Impossible! Han is your blood brother! Such a relationship is wrong."

Taejoon's face darkened, his frustration simmering. He listened to their concerns, his patience wearing thin.

Finally, he turned to one of the elders, his voice laced with irony. "Who did your daughter marry?"

The elder's expression shifted, a hint of discomfort in his voice. "She married her cousin."

Taejoon's eyes narrowed. "If you want my relationship with Han to end, then your daughter should get a divorce. They're family relatives, after all. Isn't that 'wrong'?"

The silence stretched, Taejoon's words hanging in the air like a challenge. The elders shifted uncomfortably, their eyes darting around the room.

One of them, an older vampire elder, spoke up, his voice measured. "Taejoon, we understand your... feelings. But consider the implications. Han is your brother, in the eyes of the law and our traditions."

Taejoon's gaze was unyielding. "My feelings, as you call them, are not up for debate. Han is my partner, and I will not abandon him. If you wish to discuss the coronation, let's focus on that."

The elders exchanged uneasy glances, knowing they tread on thin ice. The werewolf elder spoke next, "Very well, Taejoon. We will... consider your... situation. But know this: the coronation will proceed with caution and scrutiny."

Taejoon nodded, his expression unreadable. "I understand."

The meeting adjourned, the elders departing with hushed whispers. Taejoon remained seated, his thoughts whirling with Han, the coronation, and the uncertain path ahead.

Few hours later

Taejoon paced around his room, silently sipping blood soda, when suddenly the dark aura surrounded him. His eyes turned black as coal, and his face contorted, splitting into a more menacing expression. He vanished, reappearing in Han's house with vampire speed.

Han, eating a meal, looked up to see Taejoon's intense gaze. He knew Mako was in control of Taejoon's mind again, and he was in danger. He quickly stood up as Taejoon approached him, his expression furious.

Han tried to run upstairs, but Taejoon used his powers to throw him back on the ground. Han fell, hitting himself, and groaned. "Taejoon, please don't let him control you," he whispered, his eyes pleading.

Taejoon's grip tightened around Han's throat, pinning him to the ground. His voice echoed with Mako's sinister tone, "This time, no one will be able to save you, Han."

Han struggled beneath him, his eyes blazing with defiance. "Mako, you won't have your way," he choked out. "I'll find a way to get you out of Taejoon's body, and this time, I'll kill you myself."

Taejoon let out a menacing laugh, his eyes gleaming with Mako's malevolent intent. "You'll be the one ending up dead, Han. I'll be the one to end you here and now."

Han's face turned red, his struggles becoming more desperate. Taejoon's grip was like a vice, crushing his windpipe. But he refused to give up, his eyes locked on Taejoon's, willing him to snap out of it.

"You... won't... win," Han rasped, his voice barely audible.

Taejoon's smile twisted, Mako's laughter echoing through his voice. "We'll see about that."

Just as all seemed lost, a burst of light filled the room, and a figure appeared beside Taejoon. A dagger glinted in their hand, and with a swift motion, they plunged it into Taejoon's shoulder.

Taejoon's grip on Han's throat loosened, and he stumbled back, gasping for air. The figure stood between them, eyes blazing with determination. "Back off, Mako."

Taejoon's laugh echoed through the room, a cold, menacing sound. "Don't forget, Han," he said, his voice dripping with Mako's malevolence. "I have already poisoned your body."

With a flick of his wrist, Taejoon unleashed his powers, awakening the poison coursing through Han's veins. Han's eyes widened in agony as the toxin spread, his body contorting in pain. Black veins snaked up his arms, a grim testament to Mako's dark magic.

Han's scream pierced the air as Taejoon's powers lifted him off the ground, slamming him into the wall. Taejoon's eyes gleamed with twisted delight. "There are still things I haven't done yet, so you're still useful, Han."

Han's breathing was ragged, his voice barely above a whisper. "You'll... pay... for this, Mako."

Taejoon's smile twisted, his eyes flashing with amusement. "I'm looking forward to it."

With a snap of his fingers, Taejoon vanished, leaving Han to writhe in pain, the poison coursing through his veins like a living entity.

Han's body tharched on the ground, his screams echoing through the room as the poison ravaged his body. Gritting his teeth, he reached deep within himself and recalled the spell the old lady had given him.

"Calmo... calmoré..." he whispered, his voice strained through gapped teeth.

As the spell took hold, Han's pain dulled slightly, but it wasn't enough to counteract the poison's fury. He knew he had to use his powers to fight it, but it would mean enduring even greater agony.

With a fierce cry, Han tapped into his magic, and his body began to glow. He screamed, his voice hoarse, as he channeled his energy to combat the poison.

The room pulsed with energy as Han's powers surged, his body bucking and thrashing on the ground. The air was thick with tension, and the mysterious figure watched, frozen in concern, as Han fought for control.

The figure's eyes widened as Han's glow intensified, and his screams became a primal roar. "Han, no!" they shouted, but it was too late.

Han's body arched, and a blast of energy exploded from him, shattering windows and sending debris flying. The poison's hold on him seemed to falter, and his body slumped to the ground, exhausted.
