Burton caught fragments of their nearby conversation, and something clicked. The woman draped across his lap looked way more stunning than the girl who'd visited him at the hospital that night.
His brow creased as he grabbed her chin, tilting her face up. "Baby, how come you look even hotter than when you were riding me that night?"
Even after two weeks, Burton could perfectly recall every detail of his girlfriend from that evening - her passion had burned itself into his memory. Her mouth, her curves, her waist, those legs - all of it had left quite an impression.
Her eyes flickered with something like panic before she plastered on a sugar-sweet smile. "Mr. Ellis, you really think I look better than that night?"
Her reaction smoothed out his frown a bit. "What'd you do?"
She dropped her gaze, looking almost shy. "Mr. Ellis, I... I spent that thirty grand you gave me on some touch-ups. You've barely glanced at me since we boarded, so I figured maybe I'd messed up my face..."
