Veronica's POV
Liana's face flushed crimson from my slap, bright red fingerprints blooming across her cheek as she clutched her face and shrieked, "Veronica, how dare you hit me!"
I shook out my hand casually, responding with complete indifference, "Oops, my hand got a little twitchy. Whenever I hear someone being insufferable, I just can't control myself. Maybe I've smacked enough morons that it's become a habit."
"You..."
Liana was ready to explode when Alonzo's car pulled up outside. She immediately bolted toward him, her voice shaking, "Alonzo! Alonzo... Waaaah..."
Alonzo spotted Liana's tears and demanded, "What happened? Why are you crying? What's wrong with your face?"
"Someone attacked me!" Liana wailed theatrically.
"Who had the nerve to touch you? They've got a death wish!"
"Her! She's the one who hit me!"
