All eyes turned to Sisi in unison, waiting for her to continue. Even Kael was uncertain what she intended.
But he knew that whatever she planned in mind must be coherent enough. Kael had long recognized her devious and calculating nature, just like how she could free that damned tiger and still came out unscathed.
Sisi smiled and said to him, "Since she is no longer a concubine yet refuses to leave, why don't I employ her as my servant instead? She can work with the sweeping maids in the courtyard. I'm sure we can use the extra manpower."
The shock deepened.
Only Kael reacted differently. He burst out laughing and nodded. "Alright, alright. You can have her as your servant. But that depends on her willingness. She's no longer my concubine. She has her freedom, and her compensation in gold."
"Don't worry," Sisi replied calmly. "I know she'll accept."
