Chapter 251 - Chapter 251 Avengers vs. Nine-Headed Serpent

"Damn it! Huang Wen! You're here, but why did you leave my office? And why did you destroy it?" Nick Fury realized Huang Wen had come with the Avengers when he saw the palm print, but he grumbled angrily at the thought of his ruined office.

"Director, this is just an office. If it collapses, it collapses. With Mr. Huang Wen's help, we'll definitely be out of danger..." Coulson whispered, trying to persuade him.

"Hmph! I'm afraid he won't care about these Hydra men and won't even react!" Nick Fury muttered. Based on Huang Wen's previous battle records, it was thought that even with ordinary people like the Hydra and their high-tech equipment, Huang Wen wouldn't bother fighting them because they were considered too weak for him.

And Nick Fury soon realized he was right, especially when Tony Stark flew away.

"Nick Fury, if I were you, I wouldn't be secretly badmouthing Huang Wen over there!" Tony Stark flew out as fast as he could, so he heard Nick Fury's muttering. Thinking back to his recent experience, Tony Stark deliberately raised his voice so Huang Wen could hear him too.

"That's really Hydra!" Steve Rogers also darted outside. Seeing the familiar equipment in Hydra's hands, he immediately shouted: "Attention everyone! Take cover, avoid the laser bullets, and destroy the enemy with minimal casualties!"

"Captain America!" Hydra's top officials were already aware of Steve Rogers' resurrection. Alexander Pierce had even initially hoped to control Steve Rogers through Nick Fury, but all plans failed. Hydra was about to face the man who had destroyed them years ago, once again.

However, the real issue was no longer Steve Rogers, Hydra's worst nightmare, because the power Captain America was currently displaying was one of the weakest points of the entire Avengers team.

Whether it was Tony Stark soaring through the air in his Iron Man suit, Logan transforming from Wolverine to Wolverine-Eagle with extended steel claws, the even more powerful Spider-Trio fighting with spider silk, or John constantly switching between ice and fire powers, the threats they posed and the fighting prowess they displayed far surpassed Steve Rogers' level.

Even Zhong Qiang, one of the three heroes in Swallowtail, had consumed the Blood Bodhi, which made his spirit and energy far superior to Steve Rogers'.

The positions originally planned for Black Widow and Hawkeye in the Avengers were perfectly filled by the remaining two members of the Swallowtail Trio, Jack and Reese Fisk. While they possessed weapon-wielding abilities and Ip Man character traits, their powers were slightly weaker than Steve Rogers'.

"I initially wanted you to join the Avengers, but it seems there's no longer a place for you..." Nick Fury sighed as he watched the Avengers' overwhelming victory, then glanced at Black Widow and Hawkeye. "But the Avengers is a public organization. You will continue to protect this world from the shadows. And I'll add the Punisher to your ranks!"

"Xiao Qiang..." Black Widow averted her gaze as she watched Zhong Qiang during the battle. Zhong Qiang was completely different from the Zhong Qiang she knew. Although Zhong Qiang's appearance hadn't changed and she had seen the tuxedo he was wearing, the change in Zhong Qiang's demeanor moved Black Widow slightly, for she could clearly sense that Zhong Qiang had matured so much compared to before!

"It looks like nothing's going to go wrong..." Huang Wen sat calmly in Nick Fury's chair, telekinetically watching the battle outside, trying to find where Nick Fury hid his supernatural artifacts.

Although the battle outside didn't deviate from Huang Wen's expectations – even though Hydra's equipment was better than in the movies, they couldn't stand up to this new Avengers team – Huang Wen found no information about the locations where the supernatural artifacts were hidden.

"Never mind, I'll go check on Juggernaut and Hulk!" Huang Wen shook his head and stood up. It had been a long time since Huang Wen had received his system quest and system reward. The main reason for this was the huge disparity in the strengths of the opponents he faced.

They were either transcendent-level enemies, like the Green Goblin, Ivan Vanko, and the Lizard, whom Huang Liang and the others could simply leave to train, and Huang Wen would instantly kill; or they were famous cosmic power holders, like Captain Marvel Carol. Although Huang Wen and Captain Marvel Carol didn't ultimately fight, this was also one of the significant reasons Huang Wen didn't win the lottery.

"Let's see if Hulk wins. If he doesn't, I'll personally take care of Juggernaut. At least that would win me a legendary lottery prize, right?"

Huang Wen's thoughts flashed instantly, and his figure transformed into a point of light, vanishing from SHIELD. The war between Hydra and the Avengers hadn't stopped, but Dummy was here watching the battle. If an unexpected situation arose, Huang Wen could return in time.

"Damn it! Didn't they say all the Avengers were connected? How did they get here?" Alexander Pierce looked at the slowly dwindling number of Hydra members in front of him and cursed angrily.

There was nothing they could do. These Hydra members were all skilled, even considered elite within SHIELD; otherwise, they wouldn't have been so easily recruited into Hydra and benefited from double pay.

Hydra members were able to gain the upper hand against ordinary people and even their own SHIELD agents, but they were completely ineffective when faced with a group of superhumans like the Avengers.

Iron Man's super-firepower, Logan's indestructible steel claws, the spider silk that covered the sky without harming people but incapacitating them, the instantly deadly ice and firepower, the pressure point attacks that immobilized people, the curved bullets... These extraordinary abilities caused Hydra members to fall one after another. Defeated and losing their will and confidence, the SHIELD agents returned to the battlefield and joined the carnage.

These SHIELD agents fought far more ruthlessly and with more hatred than the Spider-Trio. After all, these Hydra members had betrayed them and murdered countless of their comrades!

With hearts full of hatred and rage, the SHIELD agents, their eyes bloodshot, were in fits of murder and fury, but Nick Fury showed no intention of stopping them.
