"Aww... come here; let Mama hug you." She opened her arms, and this time Warren rushed towards her.
As she hugged him, tears slid down her cheeks, and she quickly wiped them away. Though she tried her best to hide her tears, Warren felt the slight wetness, and he blurted out.
"I am sorry."
Mu Ning was taken aback as she felt his small hand pat her back.
"I am sorry for misbehaving, pushing you away, and always arguing... I said a lot of hurtful things..."
"No," Mu Ning pulled back, shaking her head. Her eyes were still red. "I understand. I... was at a mistake too."
"You weren't... it wasn't like you were the real Mu Ning anyways." Warren consoled, but Mu Ning was stunned by his words.
A wave of coldness washed over, yet she asked with a lump in her throat, "What if... what if I am the real Mu Ning and due to a mistake... someone else had occupied my body?"
Her tone was filled with playfulness, and her expression was cheerful, like she was lying.
