I put down the envelope and gazed into the distance at the sky where a civilian plane was passing. I gave a gentle sigh.
Two days later, Grigor Thomas arrived at Emily Thomas's company.
Emily was supposed to be heading out for a scheduled appearance. Seeing him, she asked curiously, "Why are you here? Weren't you supposed to stay with Tobby?"
"Brother-in-law's heading back to the base. He told me to come back and stay with you." Grigor gave a bitter smile.
Emily's expression shifted slightly, "He's leaving?"
Grigor: "He's packing his things."
Emily immediately turned and rushed outside the company. Her agent exclaimed in surprise, "Where are you going?"
"Reschedule my appointments for me, I'm taking the day off." Emily shot down the steps in her high heels without even looking back.
"Sis, wait for me!" Grigor hurried after her, but Emily didn't wait — she headed straight to her garage, grabbed her sunglasses from the drawer, and sped off in her car towards Tobby's apartment.
