Chapter 4 - What's Next?

Two months pass by, and Eden has mastered the ability to create ice constructs and increased his proficiency in self-generation, his mana capacity, and perception. With a grasp of his abilities, or at least the "theory" of his abilities, Eden wonders if it's truly time to depart from the space. He materializes his polearm, his training partner since he cast his first true spell.

"Unity, how much stronger am I since I started training?"

Unity has made it known to him that the real world is no joke, and even though he might have the advantage with his Advanced Skills, Mana manipulation, and Mana perception,, uncertainty still lingers since he's truly never experienced the real world.

[Your mana capacity has increased by 40% due to training, and your proficiency in the spell, Ice Construct, nears mastery simply in terms of generating the spell.]

Eden sighs. He knows he had no way to learn how to apply the spell. Two months of hard work and intense studying met with seemingly little return. But what could he expect? He knows nothing of the world beyond the fact that Unity has evinced it is incredibly violent.

"Unity, I think I'm ready to leave."

[This decision cannot be undone. Are you sure?]

"Yes, I'll gather some things and leave in a few hours."

Eden has learned a lot about Veila during his two-month acclimation. He learnt Veila's main currency, credits. Notably, he also learnt of a major city, Eukra, the city of adventures. This would be his ultimate goal for the beginning of this journey: to get to Eukra. The caretaker had a lot of artifacts, potions, and books.

Eden decided to simply take what was practical to bring around with him. A magic coat stringed from an unknown material that seems to attune with the wearer, and a small pouch limited to 10 items.

Throughout his time at Edenfall, he's realised, unlike the lifeforms that inhabit the area, he does not need to eat. All his bodily processes are carried out with mana as the main source of energy.

Eden takes a heavy breath. Uncertainty continues to brew inside his chest. But he knows that he can't stay here. After all, he's been awake for roughly 2 months, and the caretaker hasn't returned.

Eden looks at the spatial rift across the garden, pulsing with an unsure hue, flashing blue, red, and white unsystematically. He starts walking towards the rift until eventually, he stands before it. With one more sigh, he reaches his hand out.
