Chapter 10 - Different

In the end, they still had to postpone the training session. The heat wave must be too alarming, and Savier was persuaded to stop, especially as Sir Rylan was the one pushing it more.

Dang it! If only he knew, he had already built an indoor training ground here.

Savier had no choice but to comply.

Also, that afternoon, the villa welcomed an unexpected guest. Though, the other did come and go most of the time, without getting permission first.

Who else, his twin brother, Arle.

The omega immediately flopped on the couch, without a care for others in the living room. Totally unlike an omega sometimes. Savier furrowed his brows slightly but let him be.

"What brings you here?" He sat on a single sofa beside. With a wave of his hand, he politely dispersed the bodyguards, and that included Sir Rylan, too.

Savier watched his back for a moment before he shifted again to his twin. He stiffened subtly as he found Arle's piercing gaze on him, observing him.

He could not help but put on a serious expression so as not to make Arle suspicious. Sure, there was nothing to be suspicious of, but Savier still thought he had to do it.

Arle's mind... was too incomprehensible most of the time. And even his fantasies were absurd. Savier did not realize he was already rumbling inside his mind, obviously panicking.

"What?" Savier leaned his back, meeting the other's narrowed eyes.

Arle stared at him for a while, not answering. Savier did not evade his gaze. If he did, he would lose!

"Well..." Arle then shrugged and finally dropped his suspicious gaze. "It's too hot outside! What's with this weather?" He began with his usual complaints before he finally remembered Savier's question earlier.

"Also, do I need a reason to come here?" Arle raised a brow and stared at Savier. "Unless..."

"No!" Savier had to cut him off.

He was finally back to his usual nonsense that must be stopped immediately. Whatever he was about to say, he knew would not be good!

Savier frowned at him.

"Fiine. You can come whenever."

"Oh?" Arle suddenly smirked for some reason, and he sat more comfortably on the couch. "Why do you sound defensive?"

Savier folded his arms across his chest. His attitude did not back down. While his emotions could hardly be in check in front of Sir Rylan, the same could not be said with others especially with his twin.

"Defensive? Of what?"

Arle shrugged again. "I'm not sure. So, tell me." He grinned, a captivating one. A smile that would almost bewitch any alpha that managed to witness it.

Of course, Savier was completely immune to it. His expression did not change, and he looked at his twin mockingly.

"Heh. You already know that your tricks aren't effective on me." Savier's lips curled menacingly.

Arle's smile slowly faded, and he glared at him. This made Savier's grin wider.

Technically, as twins, their faces held similarities. While the resemblance was there. One had the beauty and elegant appearance, attributing to being a dominant omega. His doe eyes also made his entire impression significantly softer from Savier.

Savier, on the other hand, had a sharper appearance and was by no means pretty. There were no feminine features on him, including his build. Perhaps, only one could be considered, the eye shape he inherited from his omega father, his phoenix eyes.

And so once he became serious and his eyes narrowed further, it gave an even more intimidating effect.

They were never mistaken, even when they were young. So, the twins never experienced pranking their parents or others, as growing up, their height made it even more obvious.

"You suck. And an annoying alpha." Arle rolled his eyes, resting his head sideways on the backrest, still facing Savier. "Whoever omega you married is too unlucky." He pursed his lips and still continued. "I mean, look at you, you don't have any romantic aura on you at all."

Savier rolled his eyes again. You had to give it to Arle for being dramatic once he did not get what he wanted.

"Who says?" Savier smiled. "Maybe, I'm romantic too?"

Arle scoffed. "I can't see it."

"Heh. Of course. My future partner will be the one who experiences it." For some reason, he chose to say the word partner rather than directly say omega. Well, that was already a given at this point.

Arle did not question and went silent for a second, but nodded.

"Makes sense."

Savier only smirked at that. But deep inside, he was already sighing in relief, please stop this blabbermouth from asking questions again. He always had to be on guard.

And just as he was about to ask for something and he was again taken aback. This time, he was fully on alert!

Damn! How did he notice it?

"Wait..." Arle sat straight, his eyes seemed to catch something, and knitted his brow together, as if remembering something. "That's... that alpha, right?"

Fuck!

Savier almost froze again, but he still maintained a composed expression.

"Who?" He managed to hold it in and gave a short and nonchalant reply.

Arle shifted his gaze back. His fingers now pointed outside, to someone.

"That alpha. The refreshing to look at one."

What do you mean refreshing? Savier controlled himself not to react too much. The corner of his lips twitches.

"Who? Also, Arle, pointing at someone is rude." He chided. But, he only wanted to stop unless Sir Rylan suspected they were talking about him.

"Oh, yeah, sorry." Arle put down his finger, but he seemed not to have any intention to stop. "But, that's the one, right? The one you always watc—mmpp."

In no time, Savier was already in front of him, and his mouth was being covered. It was reminiscent of years ago when Arle found him sneaking out and watching Sir Rylan at the training grounds in the palace.

Arle had a loud mouth and was not ashamed to tattle about it to others. Secrets were absolutely not safe around him.

Arle glared at him and suddenly bit on his palm. Savier winced in pain.

"Make sure not to be loud and ill release you," Savier whispered.

In fact, he was also surprised by his actions. It was as if his body was faster than his mind. Before he knew it, he was already covering Arle's loud mouth.

Arle glared again but nodded.

"Promise?" Savier looked at him and glanced outside. Fortunately, the others did not mind them inside, and no one noticed.

Arle rolled his eyes again, finding this situation absolutely ridiculous. However, still had no choice but to nod his head.

Savier waited for a moment, and seeing Arle calmer, he released him and sat beside him this time. In Arle's eyes, Savvier did not trust him, and so the moment his voice became louder again, he would be silenced yet again!

Silence fell, and the twins stared at each other.

"What's with you?" Arle asked in a low tone. "You look too nervous."

Savier cursed inside. Of course, I'm nervous, you fool! You, a blabbermouth, would blow my cover in no time.

It might as well wrap up the whole thing right here and now. Otherwise, Arle would talk about it in front of Sir Rylan himself!

"Yes, he's my idol, remember?" Savier gritted his teeth, giving the initiative to open the conversation. Arle nodded. "The thing is... he did not know."

Savier muttered the last words in the weakest tone he could muster, afraid that Sir Rylan would be able to hear even if that was impossible. Also, he knew that he would be ridiculed by his twin brother now.

Arle blinked, processing what he said. As seconds passed, Savier had even begun a countermeasure, like covering his mouth again, and would be banned from coming again.

"He's oblivious to your stares?"

For some reason, he did not laugh but asked a question instead.

Savier was surprised and almost failed to grasp what Arle meant by that.

"Huh?"

Arle clicked his tongue and shook his head.

"Ah, seriously. Even royal mother knew."

Savieir's eyes widened. "You told him?"

"No. You're too obvious, okay? Don't think you can hide those stares of... of..." Arle stumbled but then sighed and shook his head again. "In other words, you're hopeless."

Savier frowned. Was he too obvious? Maybe, when he was a kid. Since, he could only sneak out for an hour at most and had to be fetched near the training ground.

But... he never directly expressed his admiration to Sir Rylan outside of this.

"See?" Arle finally laughed loudly. "If you can only see how you look at him. Really."

Savier was already pissed off by his laughter, then now being teased only enhanced it further.

"Be more clear, dumbass."

Arle only laughed harder. He knew how Savier became such a curse maniac once he became agitated.

"It's like, you're having a crush." Arle was not too serious about it when he said these words, but it was like Savier was punched in the gut. And severely at that.

The possibility he had never acknowledged before suddenly came into light, and his face tensed.

"Can't be." Savier laughed it off.

Arle did not notice it and agreed.

"Of course. It's just a comparison, okay? I knew what having an idol was like. So, yeah." Arle could not be said to be a die-hard like Savier, but he idolized a bunch of celebrities before.

Savier's jaw clenched, and he finally managed a small smile.

"Yeah, of course." The bland reply went unnoticed. Savier was always like this. A boring one for Arle.

Then both went silent. Arle watched the others, and Savier was lost in thought. His attention was also caught by what was happening not far from them.

The royal guards were also inside the villa now, as it was too hot to linger outside. They were in groups, Sir Rylan was with them, but looked like only listening and not speaking.

Not only was his relationship with Savier distant, but so were the others. Sometimes, Savieir thought he was being bullied and being ostracized, but when he overheard the others seriously wanting to connect with him, he had already removed that possibility.

It seemed Sir Rylan was truly like that. Someone with high walls and only focused on his job, nothing else.

Savier did not understand Arle. What did he mean by his stares were too obvious or different?

He wanted to explore that, but a part of him refused to do it.

Because... at some point, he was aware.

He seemed different.

And Savier was scared to confirm how he was different.
