Then she looked at Thor and smiled.
"My turn again."
Sharon stepped forward.
They were now standing in the middle of a large forest. Tall trees surrounded them in every direction, their branches swaying slightly in the wind. The ground beneath their feet was covered with leaves and broken branches.
Thor immediately understood that he had underestimated Midgard.
First there was the strange technology that destroyed the Destroyer armor. Now there was this woman who could absorb his power and use it against him.
"This world is not as weak as I thought…" Thor muttered.
He tightened his grip on Mjolnir.
Sharon suddenly disappeared from where she stood.
Boom!
She appeared in front of Thor and threw a punch.
Thor crossed Mjolnir in front of him.
The punch slammed into the hammer.
The impact created a powerful shockwave that shook the nearby trees. Leaves exploded into the air as the ground beneath them cracked.
Thor spun the hammer and rushed forward this time.
He swung Mjolnir toward her shoulder.
Sharon blocked with her forearm.
The hit pushed her several steps back, her boots digging into the forest soil. But the lightning around the hammer flowed into her body again.
Her violet aura grew brighter.
Thor noticed it immediately.
"Just how much can you absorb…"
Sharon smiled.
"Yeah. Thanks for the recharge."
She dashed forward again.
This time she attacked much faster.
Punch.
Kick.
Elbow.
Thor blocked most of the attacks with Mjolnir, but every hit still shook his arms.
Trees around them snapped as the shockwaves spread through the forest. Several trunks cracked and fell to the ground.
Boom!
Thor finally landed a direct hit.
Mjolnir struck Sharon in the stomach.
The impact sent her flying through the forest.
She crashed through two trees before hitting the ground and sliding several meters across the dirt.
Inside the Quinjet flying above the forest, Clint winced while watching through the cameras.
"Oof… that one looked painful."
But Sharon slowly stood up again.
Electric energy was still flowing around her body.
She stretched her shoulders.
"Thanks."
Thor frowned.
"You are strange."
Sharon smiled again.
"And you hit pretty hard."
She bent her knees.
Then she jumped.
The ground exploded beneath her feet as she launched forward like a missile.
Thor raised Mjolnir again and called down another bolt of lightning.
The lightning struck the hammer.
He swung it toward Sharon.
But this time Sharon didn't block.
She grabbed Thor's arm.
Thor's eyes widened.
In the next second—
Boom!
She slammed him directly into the forest ground.
The impact created a small crater and shattered nearby tree roots.
Thor tried to stand up, but Sharon was already moving again.
Punch.
Another punch.
And another.
Each hit sent shockwaves through the ground.
Thor tried to swing Mjolnir again.
But Sharon caught the hammer arm with one hand.
With the other hand—
Boom!
Her fist slammed directly into Thor's chest.
Thor was launched across the forest.
He crashed through several trees before finally stopping against a large rock.
For a few seconds, everything was quiet.
Birds that had been resting in the forest had already fled during the battle.
Then Thor slowly stood up again.
His armor was damaged now.
His breathing was heavier.
Sharon walked toward him through the broken trees.
"Still want to continue?"
Thor looked up at the sky.
Dark clouds were gathering above the forest.
Lightning flashed between them.
"I am the son of Odin," Thor said.
"The God of Thunder!"
"Don't underestimate me!"
He raised Mjolnir again.
This time the lightning was much stronger.
A massive storm formed above the forest.
Thunder echoed through the mountains.
Inside the Quinjet, Tony stared at the monitor.
"…Okay, that's a lot of lightning."
Thor slammed the hammer into the ground.
A huge wave of lightning exploded outward.
The forest was filled with blinding white light.
Trees shattered and the ground burned as lightning struck again and again.
Sharon stood in the center of the storm.
The lightning hit her body repeatedly.
For several seconds, nothing could be seen.
Then the light slowly faded.
Sharon was still standing.
But now her entire body was glowing with violet and white energy.
Violet Electric sparks moved across her skin.
She looked like a living storm.
Tony leaned back in his seat.
"…Yeah."
"She's definitely winning."
Sharon cracked her knuckles.
"Okay."
"This should be enough."
She stepped forward.
Thor charged at the same time.
The two rushed toward each other.
Boom!
Their attacks collided again.
The shockwave flattened a large area of the forest.
Thor swung Mjolnir again.
Sharon dodged and moved behind him.
Before Thor could turn—
Boom!
Her fist slammed into his back.
Thor staggered forward.
She didn't stop.
Another punch hit his side.
Then a kick struck his ribs.
Thor tried to swing Mjolnir again—
But Sharon grabbed his arm.
She pulled him forward and drove her fist directly into his chest using all the power she had absorbed.
Boom!
The sound barrier breaking echoed through the forest like thunder.
Thor's body flew across the clearing.
He crashed hard into the ground and rolled across the dirt before finally stopping.
The forest slowly became quiet again.
Leaves drifted down from broken branches.
From the Quinjet above, Clint spoke through the comms.
"…Is he—"
Thor didn't move.
Sharon walked toward him and looked down.
Thor was unconscious.
Sharon stood there for a moment, breathing slowly as the energy around her body began to calm down.
The violet lightning slowly faded from her skin.
She looked down at Thor's unconscious body.
"…Well," she muttered quietly. "That was intense."
Above the forest, the Quinjet slowly descended toward the clearing.
The landing engines pushed air and leaves everywhere as the aircraft touched the ground.
The rear ramp opened.
Tony walked out first, his armor retracting as he stepped onto the forest ground.
Clint followed behind him with his bow in hand.
Frank and Natasha came out next.
They all looked at Thor lying in the dirt.
Clint whistled softly.
"Yeah… he's definitely out."
