Sharon looked at the distant crater where Loki had landed.
Smoke slowly rose from the broken cars and cracked pavement.
Tony landed beside her.
"…Okay," Tony said. "That was definitely something I never expected."
Frank stared at the destruction.
"Did you just punch a god half a kilometer away?"
Sharon scratched the back of her head.
"…I didn't think he would be that weak."
Above them, Clint climbed down from the damaged rooftop and walked toward the crater.
"Let's check if he's still alive," Clint said through the comms.
A few moments later, they reached Loki.
He was lying in the middle of the broken street. The ground around him had caved in from the impact.
Clint crouched beside him and checked his pulse.
"He's alive," Clint said. "Just unconscious."
Tony walked closer and looked down.
"Wow. He is really messed up."
Frank looked at Loki's body.
His armor was cracked in several places. Bruises covered his face, and some blood ran down the side of his head. Most importantly, it was clear that many of his bones were broken. His limbs were twisted in unnatural angles.
"Yeah… that definitely hurt," Frank muttered.
At that moment, another figure landed beside them.
It was Coulson.
He looked at Loki for a moment and sighed.
"Well… I guess we can use this then."
He raised his hand slightly.
A soft green light appeared.
The light slowly covered Loki's body.
The wounds on Loki's chest and arms began to close.
The bleeding stopped.
Clint raised an eyebrow.
"You learned healing magic at Kamar-Taj?"
Coulson nodded calmly.
"Yeah."
Natasha had just walked out of the building and joined them.
"I'm not much of a fighter," Coulson continued. "So I focused on healing instead. I leave the fighting to you guys."
Tony crossed his arms.
"Honestly, that sounds like the smartest career choice here."
Meanwhile, on the other side of the city.
Ethan was sitting on his couch in front of the TV.
A bowl of potato chips rested on the table.
He picked one up and ate it while watching the live news.
On the screen, the camera showed the massive crater where Loki had landed.
Ethan whistled.
"That must have hurt."
He opened another bag of chips and leaned back.
On the TV, the camera zoomed in on Loki's unconscious body while the Avengers stood around him.
Ethan chuckled.
"Yep… he's totally unconscious. Not even acting."
He shook his head.
"Poor guy. He probably thought he would surrender somewhat convincingly and get taken to the S.H.I.E.L.D. helicarrier like in the movie."
Ethan laughed.
"Instead he got knocked out before he could even finish his speech."
He grabbed another chip.
"Wrong timeline, buddy."
Ethan then fell silent for a moment.
"I hope he doesn't come back from the future to take revenge on Sharon… Nah, he will probably forget about it by then," he thought while looking at Loki's twisted body in the crater on the TV.
A few minutes later, Loki was placed on a medical bed inside the Quinjet.
The aircraft soon took off and headed toward the S.H.I.E.L.D. helicarrier.
Inside the medical area, Loki was secured to the bed with several restraints while automated scanners checked his injuries.
As the Quinjet flew taking them back to Hellicarrier everyone was now looking at Sharon.
Tony leaned against a wall and looked at Sharon.
"So… what exactly was that?" Tony asked. "The punch that sent a god flying half a kilometer."
Everyone else also looked at her.
After seeing Loki get blasted that far away, their curiosity had grown.
Sharon shrugged slightly.
"It was Ethan's plasma gun that gave me that power," she replied.
They nodded slowly.
"Purple plasma gun, right?" Clint said. "I mean, most plasma weapons are blue."
"Yeah," Sharon replied. "I don't know why Ethan's one is purple. You should ask him."
Natasha crossed her arms.
"What else can you do?"
Sharon thought for a moment.
"I'm more of an absorber type," she explained. "I absorb attacks and energy, then release them all at once."
She clenched her fist slightly.
"I can also store that energy inside my body and use it to boost my physical abilities."
Tony whistled softly.
"So basically…"
He pointed toward the unconscious Loki on the bed.
"He accidentally charged your battery."
Frank chuckled.
"And then she returned the favor."
Clint nodded.
"Yeah."
He looked at Loki.
"Pretty hard, too."
"Was he making the plasma gun with Vibranium? That's the only reason why his plasma gun turned out to be purple."
Just then, from the speakers in the room, Fury's voice came through the intercom.
"As far as I know, he started making that gun after acquiring Vibranium."
Sharon nodded.
"Yes. That's what I know as well."
"That makes sense," Maria Hill said while looking at the medical screen showing Loki's condition. "He must have used the Vibranium properties to increase the power of Plasma to make it useful gun not for just close range combat."
She crossed her arms and continued.
"We tried to make a perfect plasma gun before. The power was good, but the range was very small. If we tried to increase the range, there was a high chance the weapon would explode."
Hill tapped the screen lightly.
"But if Vibranium is used as the core stabilizer, then the energy can remain stable even at long range without the risk of an explosion."
Fury and the others nodded.
Tony rubbed his chin thoughtfully.
"Speaking of Vibranium," Tony said, turning toward Sharon, "is it possible for me to get some? You know… to make myself a better armor."
Sharon looked at him.
"You should negotiate with Arasaka for that."
Tony scoffed slightly.
"Yeah… a business meeting."
Sharon shrugged.
"We only get a limited amount every year," she said. "So it's not something we can just give away."
"Well, I can at least try," Tony said.
Sharon nodded.
"S.H.I.E.L.D. would also like some Vibranium," Fury said.
Sharon shrugged.
"You can ask Ethan about it. He's the one who usually uses all the Vibranium."
She leaned back slightly and added,
"Even inside the company, many departments want Vibranium, yet none of them are getting it."
