Meanwhile, inside the quinjet, Tony was busy typing on the control panel.
"I'm hacking into the building's CCTV," Tony said while his fingers moved quickly across the keyboard.
Several video feeds appeared on the screen in front of him.
Hallways, entrances, the plaza, and security checkpoints.
"Let's see where our horned friend is hiding," Tony muttered.
A few seconds later, one of the cameras zoomed in on a figure standing calmly among the crowd in the plaza.
Tony pointed at the screen.
"Found him."
Everyone looked toward the monitor.
Loki was standing among the people, wearing a darkgreen three piece suit.
Clint frowned.
"Is he… partying?"
Natasha shook her head.
"No."
Before anyone else could speak, Fury's voice came through the quinjet communication system.
"He's waiting."
Tony raised an eyebrow.
"Waiting for what?"
"The person whose biometric scan can open the vault," Fury replied.
Tony nodded slightly.
"Makes sense."
He looked back at the screen.
"Hmm… good news. He's still five minutes away from entering the building. We've got some time."
Natasha looked at the flight timer.
"We don't," she said.
Tony looked at her.
"What do you mean?"
"We still have fifteen minutes before we reach Germany," Natasha said calmly.
Clint sighed.
"Great."
Bruce leaned forward toward the cockpit.
"Can't we go any faster?"
The pilot shook his head.
"We're already at maximum speed."
Tony leaned back in his seat.
"Well… that's not ideal."
On the screen, Loki calmly walked across the plaza, occasionally glancing around.
He looked relaxed.
Almost like he had all the time in the world.
"yeah, he is definitely waiting"
Natasha nodded slightly.
"That's because he thinks no one can stop him."
Tony stared at the screen carefully.
"Let's hope he's wrong."
"He is wrong. According to Ethan, even I can defeat him. He's that weak without that scepter of his," Sharon said.
Everyone looked at her.
Natasha raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah, an experiment gone wrong and you have superpowers," she said.
"Talk about luck."
"Luck?" Sharon replied. "I was in pain for half a night. It felt like something was biting my whole body."
Bruce looked at her with interest.
"That sounds like a massive biological change," he said.
Sharon nodded.
"It was."
Tony leaned back in his seat.
"Still sounds better than turning into a giant green rage monster."
Bruce looked at him.
"Tony."
"What? I'm just saying."
Clint chuckled quietly.
"Honestly, I'd still pick Sharon's version."
Natasha crossed her arms.
"Focus."
Tony turned back to the screen.
On the monitor, Loki had stopped near a group of well-dressed people and begun to talk with them.
After five minutes exactly.
"He is here" Tony said as everyone looked at the screen.
Tony zoomed the camera.
A middle-aged man wearing an expensive suit walked out of the restaurant while talking on the phone.
Tony checked the building database.
"Got him," Tony said.
"Dr. Heinrich Schäfer. Chief vault administrator."
Natasha nodded.
"So Loki's key just arrived."
On the screen, Loki slowly walked toward the man.
The man looked confused as Loki stepped in front of him.
Then, out of nowhere, Loki struck him in the face, making him fall to the ground as blood spilled from his nose.
Before the man could react, Loki pulled out a small device and placed it over the man's eye.
The man began to scream as the device worked.
Loki looked at him calmly.
A few seconds later, Loki removed the device.
The man's eye was damaged, but Loki now had what he needed.
Some guards tried to stop Loki, but he blasted them away with an energy blast from his scepter.
People panicked and ran out of the building.
Inside the building, panic spread quickly.
People ran out of the plaza while guards tried to regroup.
But Loki did not seem concerned.
He calmly stood in the middle of the square.
Meanwhile, inside the Schäfer Sicherheitsdienst building, another man wearing a vest quietly moved through the lower levels.
It was Captain America.
Using the biometric data that Loki had just stolen, the device transmitted the information to him.
Steve reached the vault door.
A scanner glowed beside it.
He placed the device against the scanner.
The system processed the biometric data.
A moment later—
Access Granted.
The heavy vault door slowly opened.
Inside, several sealed containers were stored behind reinforced glass.
Steve quickly located the container labeled Iridium.
He broke the glass, took the metal core, and placed it inside a secure case.
Then he quietly left the vault and moved through a maintenance corridor.
Within minutes, he exited the building unnoticed.
Outside, Loki continued drawing attention to himself.
With a flash of light, his Asgardian armor appeared over his clothes.
The golden horns rose from his helmet as he stood proudly in the middle of the street.
Police cars quickly surrounded the area.
Weapons were pointed at him.
But Loki only smiled.
He slowly raised his hands.
Then he fired a blast from the scepter, destroying several vehicles and forcing everyone to back away.
People screamed and ran.
The entire plaza became silent except for the sound of footsteps.
Loki calmly walked forward into the center of the square.
Around him, frightened civilians dropped to the ground.
Many of them knelt in fear.
Loki looked at them with satisfaction.
He spread his arms slightly.
"Kneel," Loki said loudly.
"This is not your natural state."
"It is the unspoken truth of humanity."
"You were made to be ruled."
He looked over the crowd.
"In the end… you will always kneel."
"Kneel before your god."
One by one, many people slowly knelt down.
Except for one person.
An old man remained standing in front of Loki.
He looked directly at him without fear.
"We kneel but not to a man like you" He said.
Loki tilted his head slightly.
"There are no men like me," Loki said.
The old man replied calmly.
"There are always men like you."
Loki chuckled as he find the old man amusing.
"Look to your elder, people," Loki said coldly. "Let him be an example."
